- Hey everyone! This kompletes the my series, going over all arcade endings for the original playable mortal kombat kast from 1992. In today's video, we go over all arcade endings for Raiden, Thunder God, defender of Earthrealm. One of the greatest heroes in the history of not only Mortal Kombat, but in the history of Video Games. It's great to see how his arcade endings have developed over the years! Forgetting the fact that MK1 Raiden would of terrorised Outworld if they never retconned him

Raiden is my favorite mk character
The only ending lacking here is Raiden's Trilogy ending, wich you might think that is the same as MK2, but it's not.
In Trilogy, Raiden gave up his Elder God status, like in Deadly Alliance, to aid the Earth warriors against Outworld - eventually, he and Shao Kahn fight at the point of shaking Earth's core, and Raiden emerges victorious.
I think that if Raiden and Shao Khan fought longer that the Earth and some other planets around it , would've been destroyed .
Raiden's MK11 ending was great
His MK11 ending is what almost every MK character dreamed of for 3 decades. Peace in all the realms instead of constant war.
But all realms? Including netherealm? Peace there? And the caos one and the outworld, wao how would that be?

Raiden has been my main since I was a kid. Really loved his character in Deadly Alliance and Deception.

If not for Christopher Lambert’s performance as a mentor Raiden in the original MK movie, we would’ve still had the asshole Raiden from MK1
His performance was legendary, was great to see him get a return in MK11.

For his MK vs DC ending... What binds him if he takes the Jade stone? Just his word or is there magic that will control him?
Also he made a similar deal in the previous game in Konquest. Provided they left Earthrealm untouched he would prevent Taven from getting the power. How about offering Quan Chi he'd take the stone, he'd continue to protect Earthrealm but obey him in other realms. And as is evident in his Amagedon ending, he doesn't care about destroying other realms.
I’m assuming that it’s controlling magic.
Back in Armageddon he was just being an edgy prick.

Not an Arcade ending, these are all of his endings from every game.

@MK Kollection - I read that Raiden resurrected Liu Kang’s body and used it as an undead weapon. I even saw a picture of him using his lightning to jolt him awake. But I can’t find this footage across any of the games before MK9.

I swear the more i hear about raiden the more useless i feel like he becomes.
Dark Raiden isn't useless like he was, but NRS removed him very early so he couldn't shine out
