*"He said 'no lathe,' but then used a CNC router!"* Correct. I also used a drill guide and a horizontal bandsaw. I made something that would traditionally be done with a metal lathe, but found a way to do it using the tools I have, which happen to include an X-Carve.
This was never meant to be a "how-to," but if you're looking to make something similar, you can:
    A. Make the bolt head manually using a drill and some files, or maybe some metal-engraving chisels. It would just take longer.
    B. Cut the head off an existing bolt. It would just be heavier.
The point is to find a way to make what you want to make, using what you have. There is always another way.
    Good luck!

I saw the 100K plaque reveal on your Instagram. It's well-deserved, as are any future awards that come as your subscriber count grows. Not only do you have videos with some of the highest quality production values, the projects you build in those videos are top shelf, super high quality builds. There is an elite class of DIY/maker folk that showcase on UA-cam, and you are definitely in that class. Congrats!

you can stick a small piece of paper clip or wire around it like they provide for you in the pill style cash fobs eg true utility. it both helps you wrap the bill tight, but all you have to do to get it out is pull up on the top of the tab.

I recently retooled my workshop and sold off the benchtop drill press since it took up quite a bit of precious space. I decided I'd replace it with the Rockler drill guide + vise and the more reviews I watch about it, the more confident I am that I made the right decision. Also, awesome project, love your channel!
