This has got to be the most ugly truck of them all!! Your lovely green Daf shows this right up! 👍
Yep as per usual, full of Badge warriors. If it aint got Scania on the front then its crap. The thing is as an O/O I can earn just as much money as your very expensive Badged trucks. At a smaller outlay and the T range comes with a superior guarantee. Plus the Cab is comfortable and so far the truck has been very very reliable. So really its a know Brainer.

Just spent two nights in two different Renaults.... neither one of them would raise the mid lift axle, even with an empty fridge trailer! Quite difficult in the snow there! Have you had the same problem? Nice video, I watched it to prepare myself for driving one! 😂😂😂
Can't say I like the Renault trucks. The model you're showing looks basic and plastic really.

Lol , listen to you mr trucker , check out a Volvo fl 10 that we all used to do a week (sometimes 2 or 3) at a time , if you was lucky like me I had a new one , night heater , yay ,,,,,, 😏
Goes for me too..started out on a 1988 M A N 19.331 that was well worse for wear knackered matress for a bed no proper curtains and no working night heater.
I was just thinking and looking at this Renault and thinking would have given my right arm for that 15 years ago. Several mates worked doing distance on 16 yr old Volvo FL10's up to the late 90's..tiny cab, get dressed lying down in bed and only 318hp for 40 Tonnes GVW.
Drivers worked in those days.

If they are anything like the master class vans they are poorly made shit boxes... I cannot believe Renault can get away with the garbage they put out.
electrics not workin properly, it's a Renault. all french built cars are the same. thought the trucks would be better though being so much more expensive. (heard from a peugeot trained mechanic) that its the type of solder used. it drys out & causes shorts
Shame Citroen don’t do a truck, the cars have decent kit on em.
We had one on demo though it was nice pull well with 32 ton of tar was 460hp was a tag to wouldn’t be right for are work tho

Scott Andrews I’m in one myself at the moment on a tour. 2016 XF, super space cab, all the trimmings. Absolutely smashing bit of kit. No idea why so many people rip on DAF
Scott Andrews still working for the same company. Been full time there a little while now. Fly By Nite will keep you busy, from what I’ve heard they’re a pretty good company to work for. If you do decide to give it a go don’t be afraid to ask me or any other entertainment drivers for advice. It’s a fun industry to work in but a world away from general haulage.
Let me guess, you were driving for Wincanton at a well known cement supplier?

The left over logo gum wouldn't stand while I drove it. But you said it yourself. You weren't going to wash it.

Hi Scott thank you for posting this vlog and i saw the daf xf on the M5 Monday just gone.
Not like the French/Renault not to think things through and have a dodgy layout....At least you have a key to start it up and not one of those useless key card thingy's....(Or do you??)
I keep hearing they're equipped with key cards or breathaliser to start it. But never seen any such thing. This one was just a key

Where's the daf
My range T’s a weird spec. Comfort spec so Bluetooth usb etc, fridge. But it doesn’t have the adjustable seats like this one, and only one arm rest on the drivers side. And no air on the passenger seat. Our newer ones are a strange spec too. Ah well have heard we’ll be switching the Volvos in a few months anyway 😅
Hate the usb position too. Absolutely stupid having the cable running down off the top switchgear.

Well, there’s the standard tilting and height on the air seat. But there’s no lumbar or headrest adjustment, the newer have both, and they’re heated coming to think of it. Just an odd mix really especially as mine was a demo truck originally

They aren't a bad truck at all they basically a Volvo...volvo running gear with a renault cab.After 20 years of driving Artics I prefer a Volvo and a daf to any other,scania are over rated but the new 2nd gen scania,s are superb I must admit
Running gear is great. Just not the cab layout. Not had a new gen scania yet

Its Kev Tee who uses that cigarette lighter bluetooth thing in one of his kits I now have one sitting in the glovebox in case I need it.
Its a great bit of kit. Wish i had it sooner

FM Transmitter, connects to your phone via Bluetooth and transmits the audio over radio frequency so if your truck or car doesn't come with anything but standard radio you can still listen to your own music
