@@TTime685 you right forgot he has pistons and rods….anything else tho? Ik he has that upgraded oil sump and stuff like that nothing crazy crazy tho stock turbo too
Hey Devin! You inspire me a lot I’m currently working on putting a big turbo on my mk4 gti just waiting for more parts before I start tearing it apart!
for how long before you blow up yet another motor? the weaklinks are well known and without forged bottom end better rings and bearings head bolts etc they let go so often then there is closed decking to consider
man.... im def stiickng with UEL Headers.... i really dont want my STI sounding like a civic trumpet. I am curious about this build and how long it lasts daily driven... or for Road Tracks.
There is no comparison between street and track. The track is so grippy that even a slight change in grip will break a stock driveshaft like it's made of wood. His driving is good for the street but it doesn't mean anything else.
I don't understand why people expect these big power on stock internals... What use does that make...Well devin is a mechanic so he saves on labor, plus youtube is giving him some cash too, so he can do all them things FOR FUN... The average person who will cost a ham and a leg can't watch these vlogs and TRY IT.
Got any “spare” factory brz wheels? I have a 2005 Prius that I think I could squeeze a pair of those on. Same bolt pattern and I think a 5 or 10 mil spacer will make them work. Need to get a little Subaru in my Toyota.
Honest question. I’m coming from a 5.0 and have the opportunity to get a mostly stock 2016 sti with around 39k miles. How reliable are these as a daily if left stock and not driving crazy. Is head gaskets or ringland or a blown motor of any kind inevitable? Or is it due to teens driving and modding? I love the sti so much but while I can afford the car I can’t afford the cost of replacing a whole engine if it fails
Can someone help with an issue I have? I went in for a smog check and got a EVAP CODE. I purchased a new gas cap and it didn’t fix the issue so I’m moving on to the next step of elimination which is the vapor canister purge valve. Can someone help me locate it? I want to purchase a new one and hope that fixes the issue so I can pass smog. I have a 2015 wrx base model
Can these newer STi’s really run 450+ WHP on stock motor without immediately blowing up? I had a Hawkeye STi and was always afraid of going past “stage 2” (DP, fuel pump, tune) on my stock motor.
From what I understand the the 2018 plus STis have the type ra internals. Nothing forged but they say the will hold more power than the Prior years. Of course this is still up for debate
All depends on the tune, maintenance, and driving habits. If you’re constantly beating the shit out of it you’ll still get some decent miles just don’t expect to last forever. If you drive like a normal person with occasional spirit driving expect to last longer.
Parabéns mano. Comecei a acompanhar o canal , pq você mexe com lancer evoliution e eu tenho um GT, parabéns pelos belos carros que reconstrói, falo aqui do Brasil e boa sorte e parabéns pelo trabalho.
So i had a gnarly motor built for my sti. Cost a grip. Are you telling me nowadays i can just swap in a new generation short block and get the same results?!?!?!?
I’m kinda regretting selling my 18 sti, hard to watch these videos. I built mine to 400whp and thought it was going to blow so I sold it… one day I’ll have another one
Yeah you can't listen all the bulshit all the haters try to talk about they ain't blowing up no more the technology in tuning has come far enough think the subi guys are got it figured out now
@@melissamares-salinas9465 ya forshure people blow up motors cause they don’t build it the correct way or even have it tune properly but even then anything can go wrong.
Man goes “stock motor”,,,,then goes “32 pounds of boost” I absolutely love that
Stock block

@@boof6566 I'm not sure exactly of what the upgrades are but definitely not a stock turbo Lol..
@@TTime685 ya you right for some reason I thought I heard one of them say it was but either way it was maxed out
The engine it’s self is completely stock, factory rods, pistons, valves, cams ect. Aftermarket bolt ons
That’s so impressive and I’m here scared to pump the boost up on mine with forged internals lol
imagine dating a girl and she goes “ya my daily has 600whp”. she instantly becomes the man of the relationship lol
@Devin and Bobby I really appreciate for tunning, pops and flames
I am pumped for drag strip content, the ultimate proving ground 😝
Lolz, they took the rear “diffuser” off.
That thing didn’t last.
Hey Devin! You inspire me a lot I’m currently working on putting a big turbo on my mk4 gti just waiting for more parts before I start tearing it apart!
Sounds amazing, super stoked about you going to the track
This thing must be a ticking time bomb, surely
Still impressive as hell 🤩

Love how you shifted that thing
Them flat foot shifting looks violent AF! Sheesh🔥
"little turbo" Literally 5x bigger than stock lmaoooo.
bro bobbies sti is sick im from north wales uk! just bought sti and stripped her down for full build.
Won’t be on a stock block for long haha great video!
Dude, you are going to do so well on the track! You 100% got the skills. Wouldn't be surprised if you broke some records either. Can't wait!
Doubt it bro he's ever even ran AT- a track before it's a lot different than people think
Def riding lol
Not doubting his skills or anything but being able to shift fast doesn't mean much on the track.
There is no comparison between street and track. The track is so grippy that even a slight change in grip will break a stock driveshaft like it's made of wood. His driving is good for the street but it doesn't mean anything else.
This man can really shift!! damn smooth
Nailed the guess on the live! 💯
Now I want to see you build a FB20 budget build ! 5 door impreza maybe a cross trek! That’s would be fun to watch
They are sooo HOT when done right =)
Cool car all the way
Devin when we going to c your 1000 BHP car build ?
Sounds good!! Crazy on stock motor.
WHOAH im from iowa and your boy is wearing a OTL shirt. Respect
Don’t let bader drive it 🤣🤣. Blew up the track car and snapped the axle on the FRS.
This is what I tell him! I break everything LOL
Those shifts Devin. Wtf!!?? Sick!
I had multiple eargasms during that video 😂👌. awesome job Devin and BBR 👍🔥❤️.
What are you going to do once the new cobb roll out hapens the end of this month
Them shifts though 🔥🔥
My question would be, are you running stock tgvs? 🤔
Clean tune!
take the hyperblue evo to the track! need to see that powah🔥
That would be amazing and Once Bobby’s X is done too🔥
Let’s see Bobbi quick shift her!! She’s a beast bro
Are you guys tuning with Cobb still? I thought that was a done deal?
I wish someone would flippin answer i’ve asked the last four videos
how are you tuning this thing with cobbs green speed

are you getting these tunes through atr software? i see the ap & it makes me very confused...
curious whats going on with tuning and logging also, he never answers much in here =)
Question!!! What’s this setup capable of maxed out on pump gas with the 5858?
Hey really curious what was the total cost of all performance mods? Thanks
Too the moon tune got me
What’s going on with the Supra? When are you starting on that project?
Any check engine light on?
HOLY 💩. 617 WHEEL on a stock motor that’s INSANE🤔😳😱. Also Gary shifts so FAST for a manual🤔.
I don't mind driving 3 hours to test your build with mine in Mexico. I am THE FASTEST WHERE I AM FROM.
Stock motor is insane 😳. How long will the engine last now that’s it’s at 600hp?
It has internals for sure 600 hp on stock everything not happening. I have fp red full bolt ons on my sti max hp 478hp 435trq.
Great video
Dude in the beginning of the Video what rotated kit was that? That looked sick.
Is the car on stock internals?
How are you still tuning with Cobb ?
Just thinking the same thing
There are videos out that said Cobb confirmed that you can still tune & download updates and you won't loose any saved maps!

You can get the car and replace the head gasket before it breaks :)
Their good stock once you mod shit gets funny
Leaving it stock is no worry. The newer models have far less issues with head gasket
Bobby we need some tail lights on her coming someone who drives a 19 wrx it will change the whole rear of the car
Are those dynojet or mustang numbers ?
that thing is nutty holy shit

Gary is spicy
Wait is this motor actually un opened? Why can it take so much I’m confused
The 19+ STi's have the same pistons/added goodies in the block as the Type RA which somehow makes them able to take this kind of boost
See you in the next xx car with xx blown engine video.
Sweet
I guessed 617 on the insta post!!
That thing is going to break pretty damn fast lol.
Devins shifts almost sound sequential
650hp
If only my stock ej could do 600Hp

Rock hard 😈
Don’t let Vader touch the car he’s going to break it
I don’t think Darth Vader will be touching it, only Josh Bader.
Wow she’s a ripper
Can we take bets on how long she lasts for?
Probably gonna blow it at the first track event if he keeps flat foot shifting lol.
Devin can you please comment on the COBB green speed update? ITS SO STUPID!
Lmfao I think the battery powering on a pump literally on top of the gas container is more dangerous than that stock block hitting 600’s 😂😂
