I’ve seen Rory’s swing live on a few occasions, and for a smaller guy it’s amazing how impressive his swing and the power he generates is. Very very few golfers on either tour have impressed me the way Rory does when I watch him up close. Crazy that he’s now 8 years without a major when he plays like that. Hopefully this year will be a big year for Rory, starting with the Masters would be nice.
I'm watching this at .25 speed...just turned an 8 min. vid into 32 minutes...remarkable how consistent his sequencing remains, even with different clubs...
Rory gets such good coil and extension on his backswing and when he releases the club it is a full release...distance and accuracy...Wow...Go get them Roars...soon to be #1 again.
first video is a perfect example of what I have noticed recently all pros say start with the lower body, but I see all the top guys specially when they have a tall back swing.. drop their hands straight down as the shift weight but before they start turning. I'm starting to think the whole lower body first is just something people say for people that are over active with the arms and don't turn at all.
If you watch closely you'll see something almost all pros do but not so much with amateurs'. I discovered it by fooling around on the range. As you downswing and strike into and through the ball, the head tilts giving your eyes an angled view at approximately 45-60 degrees toward the target. This is very hard to describe but after I started emulating this, it was impossible to pull hook because it forces the shoulders up instead of around. It's about keeping your head somewhat steady but more than that. As I strike though the ball my head tilts sideways when I look down toward the target right after impact. My ball compression went through the roof and added another 20 yards. No more pull hooks. This is probably taught by another name, but I've never seen a video describing the feeling. Anyway, my two cents.
@@wesleyhenderson4199 club trapped way behind him cause he opens up so fast..tiger woods big miss was him getting stuck and losing the ball to the right
If you slow the tempo down to .25 seconds and watch at 42 seconds you can see a perfect post release of the shaft sweeping perfectly along the color of his neck!!!! There is no such this as a post release but he somehow has a perfect one. ONLY RORY. I CANT BELIEVE I EVEN SEEN THIS. PERFECTION . SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
The elegance and stability displayed in this golf video have left a lasting impression. The golfer's technical expertise is evident, and I am eager to implement similar precision in my own game. This video has rekindled my enthusiasm for golf.
I've been cool with having a straight arm in my backswing. I figured out something today on the driving range that really turned things around for me--and that is to have a straight left arm at address. Mine was slightly bent, as one can imagine, causing a few problems here and there.
I have discovered the ultra-straight left arm, myself. Notice the dimple in his left elbow at address, almost an inverse angle between upper and lower arm. Now that is stiff-straight and a powerful, unyielding lever. The other thing I have adopted is the 90 degrees between left arm and clubshaft as his left arm rises to the top. Videos elsewhere show how to accomplish this with your hands/grip. The angle actually increases on the downswing for massive downcock. The result for me is higher, farther and obvious added clubhead speed as the clubhead rips through the ball.
It's obvious that the only swing issue is in your over tight grip and stiff wrists..using a light right hand grip will enable the club head to lag and then whip thru the hitting zone..so lag and lead the whip with the left side.
I've copied Rory's lead arm and been having a lot of success lately! He always points his left elbow toward the target, different from others who point the lead elbow to the lead hip, that's what Ben hogan even says to do. Next time at the range try having the lead elbow pointing to the target
To all golf expert! It seems that Rory is using a strong grip, but on the top of his backswing, his club seems to be square. I thought if you use a strong grip, the club face will be facing up and closed. How does he maintain the square club face when he is using a strong grip? Please help!!
See Rory drive a golf ball 355 yards from a spectators point of view on the 12th hole of the final round of the CJ Cup 2021 at #bigboypantsgolf You can see Rickie Fowler’s attempt too. Yes, I was there and yes it is uncomfortable not knowing if the ball is going to hit you in the head.
yes....Rory has tremendous power for his size but he is not the driver he use to be....i heard it said many times by analysts that he too far under the plane causing consistent 2-way misses --which we have all seen many times along with those bombs down the middle...a 2 way miss does not make u a great driver of the ball....add to that his really poor wedge control...what i do like is his improved putting...i think hes made great improvement their....as a Rory fan I hope he can break his 7 year draught in majors...he hasnt hardly even been competitive in those 7 years with few exceptions...it would be fabulous if he can get that Masters this year..2022. and complete the grand slam---I ll be rooting hard for him and I actually think he has a great chance..
Is this a joke? Half of the shots do not display his foot work, nothing is more important moving than moving towards the target. One other thing is the comments are distracting as well as the music.
I've been watching this video for over a year and my swing still stinks. Like all golf addicts. I believe that sooner or later, I'll learn something from it.
A golfer should have the possibility to do these moves once and than store this in his brain by overruling all old moves and flaws by simply "save these settings : Y/N and than press Y , 1 time confirming" and than go in to the course and have a blast !! But sadly... you can't. So keep struggling all my fellow golfers🤘👍
Look how long he keeps that club head on what i like to call the wall behind him? Watch it in .25 and then keep pushing pause. That club head would still be touching the wall even when his shoulders become square and his hips are centered. If you are a short golfer only way to go. Don't try to swing like Dustin Johnson. Swing like Rory if you are under 5'9"
My first triathlons coming up this month. I always was a runner and I've been doing a bit of cycling for some time having just recently done 91 mile on the bike it took me about 6 hours. It's a real basic bicycle but I only recently equipped it with clear pedals so I should cycle faster. Swimming however needs some work as I'm trying to perfect the bilateral technique. See I swim unilaterally every second stroke but I'm trying to breathe every 3 strokes as it's more efficient. Also swimming in the open water is a different ballgame than the pool but some say it's easier as the wetsuit provides more buoyancy. Now what has this got to do with golfing, absolutely nothing.
