Palestinian American journalist Rami Khouri responds to the latest exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah and the drawn-out ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, which Khouri calls a “fictitious political dynamic” that is primarily used as diplomatic cover for Israel’s warfare. “The ceasefire talks should not be taken very seriously as an effort to bring about a ceasefire,” he says. “It’s pretty clear now that the ceasefire negotiations today are the equivalent of the so-called peace process in the bigger Arab-Israeli conflict over the last 40 years.”

Sounds like an opportunity to lay out sound premises and charge Israel and the US with bad faith. The American people might catch on. However, October 7th isn't going to be swept under the rug either, and Hamas one party hold on Gaza is not good-looking public relations. For what it has cost the people of Gaza, Hamas should be out of power there. We have learned more about military industry since listing to RFK ON UA-cam than years of media.
Imagine being surrounded by seven aggressive bullies who have attacked you countless times, and knowing that the last time you were defenseless, it led to your near destruction. Now, consider that all these bullies have sworn to eliminate you, and you ask if it makes sense not to defend yourself. Israel, unlike these nations, has always extended a hand for peace, despite its limitations.
In the Arab world, there are virtually no Jewish minorities left, while in Israel, there are many minorities with equal rights. The Palestinian leadership has openly vowed to dismantle our state, and yet, you support this aggression, blinded by your own biases. When the day comes that the Arab world lays down its arms, there will be peace. If Israel were to lay down its arms, it would face annihilation-this is the harsh reality that is often overlooked.
We have no other place to go. We are a small minority living on our historical land. We sincerely wish for peace, but we are being backed into a corner. The hatred toward Jews started long before the occupation or any other issue. It's crucial to understand the complexities of this situation and recognize that the survival of our people is at stake.

Even the Green Party is more authoritarian because they raise taxes for the military industrial complex and the prison industrial complex. Cornel West is the same here, don’t vote for him. And Bernie Sanders is even worse here, never vote for him.
Taxes can never be raised- we need to instead focus on shifting money away from the military industrial complex and away from the prison industrial complex.
