- A new demo of the stereo with creative commons rights music. UA-cam can stick their copyright up their butt. What bs you can't play even part of a music track that you own on your stereo and demo it in a video. This is crap for all car audio fans.
TY.. after look I see that you have a more one how you did it and what all it took to install.. Its a job.. ty again..
I ran all my wire there the left side and used the rear speaker wire for my input as I didnt want to change out the stock radio. The power the runs into the 12v plug in on the top case was a 15a and my bazooka needed 7.5 amp. I used the stock wire as it will handle what I need and I get the stock plug should I want to remove the top box as now and then. The weight of the top box with speakers, amp and woofer is about 45 lbs.
See my other videos on it. Just search my youtube channel "k1200lt". I think the amp is about 300wrms and it's class-D. I had it lying around. Yep cut a hole, big hole. I had to get a replacement lower trunk anyway from prev owner who crashed it. No, didn't change other speakers. Just cut bass to them and boosted bass to subwoofer.
Hell.... "YAHAAAA
Just taking a few notes as I tried to use a bazooka speaker in the top box.. FAIL Dont try it guys,. The trunk is so air tite the speaker will not work or have the air it needs to pump out the base. I have a 8" and its good when the case it open, but not when its closed. I then added a few holes to help, Fail again. The best is cutting the hole and putting the speaker in like this. I just wanted to leave a note for anyone thinking the Bazooka speaker would work.. it will not.
You cut a hole in your truck?
what sorta amp? (watts?)
What size speak did you use?
Did you change the 5" speaks.. ??
where did you get the highway pegs?....Who's the manufacturer/supplier?
They came on the bike, I'd have to take a look (at work now). I believe they refer to them as "j pegs" and have two sizes. Search google for "K1200LT J pegs". Some are really expensive so look around. They are nice for variety but in general I find the stock footpegs the most comfortable on long distance rides.
