"Get Happy" is the side of this duet that simply provide the "Happy Days are Here again" to shine. It's the thankless part of the duet stuck in middle C. Judy Garland was extremely generous in giving it to Barbra. For the better duet of that Judy Garland Show, check out the medley with Barbra and Judy. Barbra has to work a little harder to keep up.
I think Roslyn was probably just cold-no coat. And I'm sure she was very happy! She's wanted to sing with her sister for a very long time. :-) Yes, their individual voices and singing styles are a little bit different from each other, but they suit each other well! Very nice performance from two beautiful ladies with two beautiful voices!! I'm sure their mother is looking down on them and is quite proud of her daughters!
Sisters!!!! They ❤ love each other!! 👱♀️ 👱♀️ Respect each gal's talent, her way of singing. That's the way it should be. Wonderful mom was a fabulous soprano!!! Both girls resemble their mom. Obviously Barbra began her career young. Wanted movie roles. Unsure if that was Roslyn's goal. She just loves to sing. Don't compare or complain folks. Enjoy what they sing for us. Or turn your phone off. 🙄
Barbra drowned her sister out & gave her no part to show off her voice. You should hear Rosalind on the show, " The Nanny" her voice is the same if not better than Barbra's but, Barbra took the chances, Rosalind didn't .picture is bad, sound is bad, but thanks so much!
But since you asked with so much passion I might as well say that as far as being in sync goes, yes I could. As for changing sex and becoming one of them to sing that duet, it's pretty much out of the question. There's only one Barbra and she can't be replaced. You don't own the exclusive right to love her even if I criticize one of her performances. I've loved her all my life and your arrogant question won't change that.
You're not missing much, I've seen it live and it was nothing very impressive. They were out of sync and Roslyn's voice was not very compatible with Barbra's
in all fairness-I have heard them both separate and together- Roslyn does copy sisters style - which does her no justice, because while I will never ever understand Streisand stance of being a staunch democrat, especially when she is Jewish and he can't give Israel the time of day...so I don't agree with her, but you can't deny her talent... So she should have the mike she has earned her right and has the gift to back it .. but as for politically as she says in her song-enough is enough.
