We Supra owners really need to thank Joel for his input to making a T56 Magnum work in our cars. I love mine so much after blasting out the 5 speed.
Stick shift is the best class out there tight now, I've been following this class for the past 4-5 years. Always exciting to watch.

Props to that fwd civic, 8 seconds flat is insane
his new compound setup wasnt dialed in sadly on the top end he usually traps 220+ and right now its only 190-200. Thing is insane cant wait till he gets it working 100% because he literally threw the new setup on and just went to fl2k😂
Compound is the way forward for small displacement engines. You get to a turbo size that is too small for the engine alone to spool which is why they use nitrous. 300hp shot on the hit is nutty. No wonder he was hurting parts. That is why a few people have tried compounding because of cost of hurt parts and nitrous refills. At 300hp a 10lbs doesn't last too long.
Actually it looks more like he had ro lift to avoid crossing center lane
He still can trap 220 plus they had some many issues with weather the track wasn't 100 percent especially since this class was not the first down after the fresh prep
He wouldn't have made it to where he did if it wasn't working it just isn't going to be a hundred percent dialed right away these things take time two other cars went faster since this event that were there and stick shift as well give him a little time he'll get that mph back

Gm factory LT1 block... let that sink in. Everyone else is running billett everything, 6 bolt etc etc. Yes its filled with concrete and yes it has splayed caps but still insane to think about.

Grannas always bringing the heat in that supra. I remember reading about that LT1 Camaro a few years ago. Absurd how well it performs with an epoxied OEM block I wonder if it had the factory LT1 intake again like it used to have.
Not the fastest class; but the most Respected Class with the most fun/talent. Stick-Shifting will always be a “man’s game” while the rest are for “lil boys”…if you can’t drive (stick)….you really “Can’t Drive Period”….

@@DhirC35 No fuel is being injected between the compressor stages, an intercooler improves the efficiency of the compressors. Greater efficiency = less demand on the compressors, which means less strain on everything and possibly less lag.

When he was interviewing Grannas, I was screaming to look at the engine more. We are car people not people watchers lol. Camera guy sucks

I actually filmed and edited this video and wanted to say I appreciate the feedback. For what it's worth, we use a directional microphone that requires being pointed at the subject in order to isolate their voice and eliminate all the background noise. If I stayed pointed at the engine the whole time you wouldn't be able to hear any of the cool info from Joel, hence the quick pan back to him so I didn't miss out on what he had to say. We also didn't have many opportunities for us to get supplemental b-roll shots unfortunately. Hope you enjoyed the video regardless and if all goes well we'll talk to Joel again at World Cup Finals in a few weeks and I'll be sure to show off the engine bay a bit more.
