Another example of why there are no bad Band Maid songs. It doesn't matter if they are bringing down the house with a rock/metal banger or grabbing your emotions with a love ballad. They pour their souls into each and every song. Maids forever.

Yes, there's no denying that acoustic version is amazing, but this original electric version is "together" and the story the whole band told "together". Thanks for understanding the true beauty in this song. I used to prefer the acoustic version but now this original version took over as my favorite. Now I can't listen to this version in public because I end up embarrassing myself by tearing a bit.
I much prefer the album version, the other instruments add so much and the vocals are amazing and the lyrics alone will bring you to your knees. Incredibly emotional song.
I’ll try to explain. World Domination is such a kickass album, one can only focus on a limited number of songs, and some will get lost in the vast sea of musical awesomeness. I’ve only recently “rediscovered” Anemone, but virtually all Band Maid songs range from good to excellent, and it’s impossible to focus on all of their songs.
This is nothing compared to the live version! Saiki gives a very powerful vocal where Kanami’s backing voice is adorable! The song is played with just an acoustic guitar! It’s fantastic
I think this version is actually better. The way the emotions are delivered in this version isn't as obvious but fits the lyrics and the story. And kanami's guitar solos are truly gold!

Like I've stated before, Band Maid is loaded with great tunes no one listens to if all they do is want to watch music videos and not support the band by not purchasing their music. All their albums are loaded, "New Beginnings" is a sleeper..... Glad someone here on YT is digging into non-music video music of Band Maid. Remember the song "Page" if you ever find it without a reactor tied to it.
Nice reaction. The songs sound different, and yet still sound signature Band-Maid. Kanami is simply an amazing songwriter (and these musicians synergize so well together). Many of us fans are likewise astonished that gems like this have so few views, esp compared to what today's mainstream pop songs generate for views. It's folks like you that hopefully are getting this incredible music out to the (relative) mainstream, so hats off. I think for music lovers here in the USA, when they hear "Band-Maid" - an all-female band, that dress as maids, and that sing in Japanese - there's a big mental hurdle to overcome to hit that "play" button. Many might think it's a gimmicky type of idol group, that squeaks out trilly pop-rock, and sadly pass (I confess that was my first reflex when I read the band's name and country of origin (I am half-Japanese)). Those who get past that (took all of one or two songs for me) will be rewarded lol.

Anemone has been out many times in various forms such as covers [ ua-cam.com/video/UHYTMCdyyfk/v-deo.html ], fan-produced MV's [see old reactor vids ] and their well known live acoustic version that includes Puzzle. It has probably generated a few hundred thousand more views from these sources all tolled. But you're right, this is a beautiful, well produced song that should be in the millions of views. Many people just don't seek out songs that aren't put in front of their faces or even know what a quality song is unless it comes packaged with a lineup of glitter guys in tight pants. Sorry for the mini rant.
Most of us have the CD or D/L before they released it on the site probably. I know I've listened to it hundreds of times, both studio and live versions, but never from the UA-cam upload. Great song.
Anemone is as beautiful as the flower that its title suggests. And the lyrics are bittersweet. As for why it and other songs from World Domination aren't clicked so much, it could be something as simple as they aren't MVs or people don't think to scroll down. Musicians like yourself don't need the visuals to know when something's good. BTW, they also have all of Unseen World (minus Youth) as the other full album at the bottom of the official channel. Really looking forward to your reactions to that one!

“Awkward” next please. It’s almost an obsession for me to listen to Daydreaming-Anemone-Awkward at the same time. I freaking love the solos and mood of the guitar work in these 3. Easily in my all time favs and imo some of Kanami’s best written songs till date.
most of the fans own World Domination(also there was an acoustic Kanami+Saiki duet version of this song but it has been removed multiple times). the duet version you can feel the emotional tones which is even more superior. the album version adds the bass, drums, and rhythm guitar to the song. still great regardless however.
This is a beautiful song. Like others I highly recommend the acoustic. Saiki is on the verge of tears at the end and quickly leaves the stage. They have never done Anemone acoustic since and may never as it seems emotionally hard for Saiki.
A good band can make you feel like tsunami, but when they drop a bomb shot under the sea, it is equally or more impactful. Btw, "WHY DOES NOONE KNOW THIS SONG???", I did not know the studio version, imho, is better than the famous acoustic version. So you have brought me the attention to this song

Muzicman 2112 is absolutely right, There is first an acoustic version of "Puzzle" and then "Anemone". Brilliant with Kanami on acoustic guitar and bacKgroung singig ( oh yes she can do ). But Saiki is a godess in this two songs.It is hard to find nowadays, but worth it.
I think cause the Acoustic live version gets taken down when people upload it, and there is what im guessing is a fan MV that floats around but gets taken down as well people dont notice it much and it gets less reactions. It's easy for an exceptional BM song to get lost among the other dozens and dozens of exceptional songs. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful BM song. They play it live every once and a while, wish they played it when I saw them.
I completely agree with you. This is an amazing song but most fans are music video oriented so it gets sadly ignored. It is still one of my favorite BM songs along with Secret My Lips & Awkward. I prefer the album version to the acoustic.
