There was an Ambassador class USS Excalibur that took part in Picard’s detection grid investigating Romulan interference in the Klingon Civil War and survived a Borg attack though some crew were assimilated.
There was. The first in ST was one of the twelve Constitution-class ships, which of course included NCC-1701. Can't recall offhand what its registry number was, but iirc it was in the 16-hundreds

It can outrun nearly any ship which could overpower it. But if I commanded it, I would have it fitted with all quantum torpedoes and regenerative shields.
1:08 my dad created a ship in the 90’s and called it the USS Enterprise-G, I took that ship and rechristened it to the USS Angel-A and created it’s successor when his drawing was lost and designed the USS Incursion
for the Wolf 359 bit guess there is a way it could be in service back then. maybe it started put as part of the ships that had ambassador or galaxy parts and had a massive refit like what happened to the constitution class later on so it had more of a sovereign style to it.
X2 choices for me, either the USS Icarus or The Perithia - a small village on a mountain in Corfu, Greece where locals used to shelter from pirate raids over the centuries.
USS Black Raven is usually my go-to but I use 2 others. USS Independence and USS Ascension. NCC-1776 is the Independence, NCC-1445 is the Ascension, and NCC-1758 is the Black Raven. As for class, Constitution/refit for the Black Raven and Independence, Sovereign-class for the Ascension.
The USS Carolus Rex - Alita class heavy escort carrier. It comes with its own theme song. “May God have mercy for my enemies because I won't.” ― George S. Patton Jr.
Since the USS Verona (my home town) is already taken😢, I guess I'd go with USS Venice (which I don't think exists) but it would be a whole new class and design I have in mind, filling the role of a fast, quick response attack ship: the one you need to get help fast in case of an attacked outpost in order to show the enemies they'd better back off
What was nice about lower decks despite it being a bit to rick and morty style IMO. Is that it back filled the Logistics and engineering side of star trek more. Yeah for all the cool galaxy class ships that were flying around, there were 100 times as many smaller purpose built craft traveling between all the worlds keeping everything going.
Since I imagine cruising around in a Sovereign class, I think I would follow in that vein by naming my ship after a monarch or royal dynasty from Earth history. I think this would be the list of names going from most likely name to least: 1. USS Plantagenet 2. USS Windsor 3. USS Constantine 4. USS Hadrian 5. USS Trajan
In my daydreams I combined Star Fleet with Egyptian mythology and created the Ennead class of starships. There were only nine in the series, all named after the nine primary gods of the Egyptians. The ship I would command would be the USS Sutekh (another name for the god Set). Each of the nine ships would be kitted out to perform specialized missions based on the gods' portfolios of influence. The Sutekh would be a heavily armed ship often used as a diplomatic vessel in areas of very aggressive conflict.
USS Artemis, I imagine it as a Neo-Archer Class visually something between the Nova and Protostar designs, very sleek and aerodynamic with six nacelles that functions as a long range rapid disaster response/strike vessel and a testbed for the Federations slipstream drive program before they build larger ships like the USS Dauntless
@Andrewcb112 the thought process when I was brainstorming the design (other than to give it a unique look) was it could either cycle through the three sets of nacelles for prolonged high warp travel or it use all of them to generate a warp bubble well above it weight class to tow larger vessels eg a vessel the size of a Nova class pulling a disabled Galaxy class from harm and towards the nearest dry dock after patching it up
@@AnkhWolf sounds really interesting as a concept, but I feel that a long range disaster response/strike ship that can act as a starship tug wouldn't also be a test bed ship for newer FTL systems like slipstream. What I don’t understand is why there are windows on the nacelle pylons. No other SF ship has pylons (as far as I’ve seen) as a habitable zone (excluding Jeffrey/engineering tubes). Which means they likely have people sleeping on quarters right next to the nacelles!
