I got into building and flying quads but have been away from it for a couple of years but now want to dust off the toys and go again. Got a new radio and some elrs stuff but feeling a bit daunted by all the new stuff. Your videos are just perfect fo rme, fun to watch, no nonsense direct easy to follow steps to getting back and updating everything. Great video and explanation on updating the Betaflight Firmware. It really helped me update the firmware on one of my quads. Very thorough explanation. It helped me update the firmware.
*WARNING* a commentator is correct. 4.5 does not work on Speedybee F7 V2’s either.
I’ve been up all morning trying to figure out why I could not connect to BL_Heli 32 configurator. it kept giving No Valid Esc Errors.
Although my Speedy Bee is a V2, I just took it out of the Wrapper to use it.
Not only that, but the beta flight 10.10 configurator freezing after being plugged in for a few seconds. Then I would have to disconnect and plug back in to make a few changes. It was very frustrating.
I went back to a flight 4.3 official and all my problems were gone. And BLH 32 configurator recognize all of my ESC’s
DEV’s if you are reading this, the issue is real with certain FC’s
Interesting...I've had a similar issue with my nazgul v2 from a while back, had to replace the FC after a year and ever since esc configurator and BLheli can't find the escs... I wonder if I downgrade way back it'll detect 🤔
I have a speedybee F4 v2 I think on my 7" so I wonder if this will be an issue
@@LifeofAccro doesn’t hurt to try. If all versions of Speedybee FC’s are having an issue, the Devs will focus on it D test other FC’s .
Speedybee is pretty popular, so I’m sure they will fix this
I had this too and when I returned to 4.3 everything worked but I still updated FC and returned to BF 4.5 gps lap timer is a nice feature
Wow what an amazing and simply teaching of betaflight 4.5 so thank you. I've been wanting to upgrade betaflight to 4.5 so I could get all of the new gps goodies for my Chimera 7 V1 but I've been nervousunique way of teaching where it's very easy to understand & not get confused. BTW I bought the DCJ5 Frame & built it just like you showed & your right it's a great quad. Thank you & have a wonderful day & happy flying!

Please do tutorial about tuning with setting filters correctly. This is hardest part...
When you’re backing up, you will also want to take screenshots of every setting that you have.
Or if you’re a real nerd, have your settings memorized. 😊

As usual, HIGHLY entertaining! Personal experience with 4.5 has been not only easy, but 9/10 of my quads notice fly better! The one exception is an H7 board… more work for those tireless devs to work on😎

MY OLD FIRE DANCER QWAD EVERYTHING WORKS IN BETAFLIGHT EXCEPT THE TRANSMITTER ??? Congratulations indeed, I love this perfectly explained tutorial!!! Having problems with the Geprc M10 GPS I switched to 4.5 but it still doesn't detect it, I'll do more tests even if I don't know what to invent anymore 😞😞
But there's not actually any flight characteristic changes in the new betaflight....

I thoroughly enjoy your posts. I’ve been in the fpv hobby since 2014. I often wonder why I don’t get active on social media or UA-cam. I’m not super personable like you are. I worked as a tattoo artist for ten years and that was a lot of adjustment being in people’s space and all that. Anyway thanks for the posts. I did the change to elrs from frsky a year ago and from analog to digital like 4 months ago other than a couple analog whoops. I only fly hd (dji). Anyway. What’s next is this change. I have a couple quads torn down so I decided I’m doing all of them. Fk it. I’m stoked too. My wife says I spend too much time and money on it. Lol😂 my addiction is being in goggles. Not a bad thing. Thx again.
Don't update if you have speedybee F7 V3. Even though it's auto detected, it won't work right.

buddy, you did something wrong, the only thing I noticed is that the barometer does not provide the correct information, the application works but for now only in the CLI form

If I have a quad that flies great. I just leave it how it is. When I buy a new FC then yeah I'll update to the newest firmware. But I appreciate it cuz I do have a F7 v3 stack.
I did all this about 4 mo ago with new products. F7 v3, expresslrs, gps.... First drone build. The fc was not recognizing any elrs movement. I gave up. Over $1400 i threw in a box and tossed in closet 🤯☹️ maybe time to get back out and give another try 😉 speedybee master 5 v2, supernova motors, radiomaster boxer, dji 03 and integra goggles 🤯 couldn't get it to work. Just flying the mini 3 pro 🤣 would be great if i could play with this new toy 😁

I can't get my drone to flash I used impulse RC driver fixer Bata flight see my fc I can do anything in side of Bata flight but ever time I try to flash the bord it won't recognize the board in bootloader mode hglrc f7 I've tried just about everything so I was hoping you might now something I don't lol

So after all that my gps don’t work ? 😅😅it doesn’t light up red nor yellow and it shows no activity
i need help and i am new ti the fpv community and I am so lost I just want the 4.5 for my GPS to work and my v4 is not being recognized ps all parts are new and first drone and boot older is not being recognized. :(
P.S. If you get USB device not recognized = desolder your rcRX positive lead from the FC board.

First time doing this with your video. I have Geprc Cinelog 35v2. Follow your instructions to the end. Got the update and drone to fly. However the information on OSD on the computer is not showing on DJI google 2. Do I did something wrong please help.
In the ports tab you need to select the correct UART for your MSP.
Drainman, do you mostly use KISS or are you into Betaflight more?

I can't connect my Betafpv Cetus. (Not pro or X ). But I'm a full blown noob. My goal is to find out the rates so It matches the simulator rates and perhaps update in the future the firmware to fly a bit better. Have installed both impulse and Betaflight. Can't connect the drone. New found respect for you fpv guys that's for sure. 😅
Men, I believe the normal cetus only conects to betafpv configurator... My cetus pro either do not conects to the betaflight configurator, so I used the betafpv configurator (it is like the betaflight but from the betafpv company...) to change some parameters and to configura a new controller
