I checked out the website, and it's so ridiculously amateur. They obviously just threw together something on Wix with some "flashy" graphics, but no substance whatsoever. Back pre pandemic, there was a roller hockey league that started up in metro detroit (and the midwest but all the teams were in south east michigan basically) and they had a draft. But the teams picked people who had played pro roller before but never signed up for the draft like goalie Tom McCollum. The league lasted I think just one season. I´m not sure if this is serious comment. But if you are hired and payed by the league. Good for you. It does claim to have 10 billion in the bank. Just If in by any chance you are asked to invest to the league ask yourself why.

Made for gambling, two games per night means more gambling events. Friday and Saturday end of the week just got paid times. The only way this works is if it doesn't need to make money itself because it is backed by massive gambling money as an event to make gambling money on.
I've played enough Atari hockey in the 80s, to know this would be a no brainer. This is the next big thing in bastardized sports 😂 I'm sure we can take some of the market from wiffle ball, and that odd looking fake tennis game thing 😂
Fans aren't that interested in 3 vs 3 hockey. Sure, its fun for 5 minutes at the end of games, but an entire game of 3 vs 3 is like watching the NBA all-star game.
MLH and NHL(OT) needs an over-and-back rule. No crossing the half way mark and circling back just to protect possession and looking for the perfect entry 17 times.
It's one thing if the MLH publicly stated and it was confirmed they have a team in Saskatchewan, Hamilton, Quebec, Hartford, Portland and Milwaukee. A bit of a stretch but more believable in my opinion. Had rulers similar to the ISBHF, such as the offside rules. In an attempt to make its own sport. More body checks slap shots, a different style all together.
It sounds like something I'd create on a site like Zen GM Hockey or Simon T Hockey Sim that then got accidentally copied over onto another website and taken too seriously.
As someone who's created at least one fictional hockey league in the past with that name, I feel like making a fictional copyright claim and suing for fictional dollars.
There's probably enough markets for, say 10-12 teams, while avoiding nearly all NHL markets (Toronto and maybe Chicago could hold a second team each, maybe). That would be enough for a new league easily. But that's *just* markets. It's not fans, it's not owners, it's not necessarily even arenas, and it's certainly not funding, or media contracts.....
I think Boston embraces the New England label more than the other areas. The Red Sox broadcast on the New England Sports Network. The Patriots use that label rather than Boston.
Major Hockey League…3-on-3 hockey. SURE. RIGHT. Because football leagues like the WFL, USFL, and all these stupid football leagues that keep springing up every few years have been SO successful. Good on you THG for making the video and educating us on this. There's no shortage of crazy apparently.
WHA was a fun league with Gretzky, the howes, and reasonable ticket prices.
New England has always been: MA, NH, RI, CT, VT & M(ain)E.
No, it hasn't. "New England" existed long before the individual states did.
Markets all over, but Chicago isn't one? Interesting choice.
One thing everyone is forgetting here. Synthetic ice. Saudi and Southern states are trying to figure out affordable hockey. Has anyone ever heard of snoop dog? He's trying to start something up.
As one of the Head Execs of Major League Hockey i will just say i cant wait to see you eat your words.
I´m not sure if this is serious comment. But if you are hired and payed by the league. Good for you. It does claim to have 10 billion in the bank. Just If in by any chance you are asked to invest to the league ask yourself why.
On a note from yesterdays video, just want someone to answer it, why are the WA capitals buying cap friendly? What is the advantage to them closing down the site?
TheSoccerGuy confirmed to exist in the THG universe
I! WANT! THAT! JERSEY!!!
Shannon got so worked up over this and I can't blame him. I couldn't stop laughing after about halfway through
Maybe it’s a table top hockey league 🤣
We used to have the coleco twist hockey challenge.
That's so frekin cool! Love that custom jersey as a huge Simpsons fan.
Made for gambling, two games per night means more gambling events. Friday and Saturday end of the week just got paid times. The only way this works is if it doesn't need to make money itself because it is backed by massive gambling money as an event to make gambling money on.
Hell yeah!! Springfield Isotopes.
The Thunderbirds are my hometown team.
We're undefeated in Isotopes sweaters!!
Max chambers is a great guy I met him at thrashers game last year
THAT is a beautiful jersey. I've always loved the Simpsons, but never thought about getting one myself.
Arizona's arena will be on the beach in Arizona!! lol
I hope Steve watches this video.
Bitconnect had a more legitimate launch than this league😂
My New league: 1 on 1 goalie battle, played on a curling rink! Guaranteed $500 in the bank. Who's with me?
Now I'm picturing that as an MMA-esque fight on ice. XD
Lool I’m in😂🎉
I've played enough Atari hockey in the 80s, to know this would be a no brainer.
This is the next big thing in bastardized sports 😂
I'm sure we can take some of the market from wiffle ball, and that odd looking fake tennis game thing 😂
Fans aren't that interested in 3 vs 3 hockey. Sure, its fun for 5 minutes at the end of games, but an entire game of 3 vs 3 is like watching the NBA all-star game.
Sportsnet said there is major announcements about it to come out sometime during the playoff finals
Email for a GM role? Sounds like Shannon’s got the inside track on the job to me.
Dangle's video is still one of the most surreal things I've watched on this app.
Max Power! Great name!
Thanks! I got off the hair dryer!
MLH and NHL(OT) needs an over-and-back rule. No crossing the half way mark and circling back just to protect possession and looking for the perfect entry 17 times.
Watch this be a NHL 24 video game league.😂
I'm in Victoria, no idea this has occured
It's one thing if the MLH publicly stated and it was confirmed they have a team in Saskatchewan, Hamilton, Quebec, Hartford, Portland and Milwaukee. A bit of a stretch but more believable in my opinion.
Had rulers similar to the ISBHF, such as the offside rules. In an attempt to make its own sport. More body checks slap shots, a different style all together.
I remember when Steve posted the video that broke this League. It was equally as bizarre then.
It sounds like something I'd create on a site like Zen GM Hockey or Simon T Hockey Sim that then got accidentally copied over onto another website and taken too seriously.
As someone who's created at least one fictional hockey league in the past with that name, I feel like making a fictional copyright claim and suing for fictional dollars.
their office is the ocean island backpackers in victoria
If it is/were real, "Draft Complete" translates to "we're luring as many as we can" and Marquee = pros we may have poached
I really wish GeekyJersys did custom ones ... I only got one, and I would pick up more now that I have seen what they do and all.
I think Boston embraces the New England label more than the other areas. The Red Sox broadcast on the New England Sports Network. The Patriots use that label rather than Boston.
So are they trying to do the Fyre Festival of sports?
Major Hockey League…3-on-3 hockey.
SURE. RIGHT. Because football leagues like the WFL, USFL, and all these stupid football leagues that keep springing up every few years have been SO successful.
And if FOOTBALL is unsuccessful in North America, while the NHL is the 5th most popular pro league…hello?
Waste of time. Waste of money. Waste of news. Just a joke w/o a punchline and sadder than Sad Sack’s lowest ebb.
CFL has done pretty decent by making it a seperate game with different rules and marketed to select markets
NHL is 4th
@@Ironguy-gm6vf Yes, but the CFL has had its struggles, like their attempted expansion into the United States and especially since the pandemic. Not to mention that it is actually older than the Super Bowl era of the NFL, so it had built up legitimacy as a pro league in the 40's and 50's before footballs popularity in the United States completely exploded.
CFL has been successful but some Americans wont watch for some reason I do Stamps/Broncos fan here Alex Singleton came from the Stamps to the Broncos
This whole league has a Shenmue 4 vibe to it.
