[TAS] Spelunky 2 - Low% Cosmic Ocean in

This is a TAS, or tool-assisted speedrun. It was made using tools such as slowdown, frame advance, and savestates, and is not meant to compete with real runs but is solely for entertainment. This TAS is of Low% Cosmic Ocean, a category where you must beat Cosmic Ocean with only your starting resources and nothing else. The furthest anyone has ever gotten under these restrictions is a 7-55 by Hectique, however it has been done with 2 players (Hectique and Cloiss) and also seeded (Kymiro). This seed is the same one Kymiro used, but is 25 minutes faster. This was a big undertaking and it's not the most optimized, but it's pretty good and I'm happy with how it turned out!

Hazel also recently did a Low% Cosmic Ocean TAS of this seed, but while getting the True Crown! The movement for the most part isn't as ridiculous as mine but there are a lot of fun strategies and it's a good watch!

well resources are good for either getting unreachable orbs or making things faster, any TAS in general will end with 0 resources (assuming there are places to use said resources to save time), not necessarily cursed though lol
although resource usage was not great in this TAS (the 1-4 rope is definitely not optimal)

Out of curiosity, how long does it take to code an entire 7-99 Co run? Looks like an incredible level of dedication required.

this took about 2 and a half days of doing basically nothing except working on this, but it wouldve taken longer if i took the time to optimize it more since this can definitely be improved by a lot
Spencer_PK did a regular CO TAS (with items) and iirc he said it took a week of on and off work, that run is pretty fun and i would recommend his channel if you like these TASes

@@polish_soap2360 Nope! No Gold is a separate modifier that can be added, which would turn this into No Gold Low% Cosmic Ocean.
