I love how toxic tower is a culmination of every area gimmick established in the level pack, with the rising floor challenging you to now do all of them really fast to prove your mastery. it's also really cool to look at every tile set from the main worlds all combined.
Hmmm reminds me of a level in a game with some kongs.

With the damsel falling on the Kali Altar, it may be possible having branching path kaizo levels depending on the item you gain from the altar

Reminds me of a Super Mertroid hack named Containment Chamber. I love how you abused Spelunky's engine and movements in order to pull off some really cool stunts that would never be possible under normal circumstances. This is why I love this game!

This mod is very good. One of my top 10 mods. The only issue is the complexity of each level. Even watching it looks confusing
Excellent demonstration of the eggplant crown and the mech. They are used far too little in the actual game, so it's really nice to see all of their features and some of their jankiness. I think they should add some of these levels to the actual game, maybe even create like a little menu so you can pick any of them you want. They could do that and have special levels demonstrating each item and its uses and some special things you can do with it (like with the climbing gloves, you can descend into spikes if you don't fall too fast). I think that would make the game much more fun and more interactive, plus help to teach people some more about the items used less in the actual game, like the mech and the eggplant crown, though people still use the eggplant crown.

Just a few things I wanna comment about:
I understood every mechanic and I wish I played it on my own but I'm burnt out from 7-99 attempts anyways so I wouldn't dare go near this monster of a challenge.
A lot of parts reminded me of some levels in celeste for some reason, like the ending of Neo Babylon 1 with the pinball momentum guys.
I'm so glad the last level had every theme mixed in at the end.
Speaking of, I'm surprised a lot of the level types/biomes have so much usage out of their different blocks and how they interact with each other (besides Ice Caves haha) (I wonder what Ice Caves would have looked like probably something like the chuckyas from super mario sunshine with the yetis throwing you and all).
Besides my rambling, this kaizo mod is insanely clever, and looks extremely challenging.
I would love to break down even more things and every piece of tech that I loved, but there's too much cool interactions and tech in this video that I knew about and blew my mind, and stuff that I didn't know about and blew my mind. One of my favorites is definitely the damage boost at the ending kinda levels where nothing is wasted.
There is so much more but it would take me hours to type it out in cohesive words.

If you're still here, does this have to be completed as a roguelike? As in, is there permadeath? Because if I only had to beat every level individually, it would take me dozens of hours, but I could do it. However, if I had to beat them all in sequence with absolutely no errors, a monkey would type all of _The Divine Comedy_ before I could do so.

There are a lot of cool ideas, but I'm not sure how possible it is to figure out what you are supposed to do. Some of it seems extremely trial and error, especially sections with the falling pushblocks.
While it's not always obvious what to do, you should usually be able to look ahead (e.g. the lizard level has a push block so that you can get on the spike floor and look at the second section before doing it). There shouldn't be any blind drops and I tried putting different types of indicators in the levels to give hints. But you're right, all the indicators won't help you figure out the falling push blocks on the first try, so there is trial and error involved (if you try it blind without watching the guide).
