Just for future use, the label should always face the body. That armor appears to be Kevlar/Aramid front and PE rear, and was designed to catch rounds in that way :D
Thank you.
Good test Chuck! I'd say it did pretty well. I'm glad there are options in the soft body armory business.
Thank you for using Bag'O'dirt backing material :D
Fantastic video. You all had that little one yet? Pray’n for you guys!
Not yet
Thank you!
Great video Chuck, I just bought some soft armor, this was certainly educational. Thanks
Thank you. I hope you never need it! Godspeed.
That boy shaped like a garden bag. So pretty accurate test
More to love
Hey it’s nice to see the snow finally gone 😂
Oh v yeah been gone for a month and a half
Nice test! It's better than nothing. It's going to leave a mark for sure.😂😂. Those penetrator rounds are devastating. God bless.
They are but the defenders poked through at a high speed, not the penetrators. Interesting
I wore IIIA for work for close to 20 years. Miserable stuff to wear on hot humid days. Modern IIIA is much much better. Not just lighter and thinner, but it actually stops things that older IIIA wouldn't.
Good to know
"You'd have a broken rib or two. That's for sure."
Better than a bullet in your heart or lungs
Ribs heal a lot better than ruptured aortas.
Very true
I trust your Soyence Chuck. And good shooting.
Lets go Algo!
Great Job Great Review 🤠👍
Thank you sir!
Great 👍 👌 👍
I say some pretty good light body armor. Drop under some work cloths or going out cloths.
State of Ohio . Gover office just past in ohio. That school staff may carry a fire arm if they are trained and have ccw.
Nice!
The last thing you want in todays age ---> stay far far way from looking like law enforcement. A NRA instructor told
me that in a class.
Like the NRA are the experts... the last thing I want is s bullet in my chest.
@@AlaskanBallistics
Meaning use concealable body armor including concealed carry while performing security work. No need to look like law enforcement for $10 an hour.
No need to take a bigger in the chest for $10 bucks an hour either.
Wonder if you could get Chuke to wear it so we would know how it feels?🤔😅😂🤣👍
Thanks for the video Brother. They finally let me back on 😎👍
It feels great you just need to order a size small shirt to make sure it's really snug
@@AlaskanBallistics I was talking about Chuke wearing it while you put a couple rounds in it. So he could tell us what that feels like 😅😂🤣👍
Lol...
@@AlaskanBallistics 😅😂🤣
The last plate you had the wrong side facing forward it's not intended that way
And it still worked.
@@AlaskanBallistics since you used it incorrectly some of the ammo may have different results if used correctly
@vegasmade777 doubt it
@@AlaskanBallistics Well regardless I enjoyed your video enjoy your day
@vegasmade777 thank you. You too. Godspeed and good hunting to you and yours.
I mean extreme defender.
Did you have to use a bag of dirt because I was unavailable?
Lol yep
First
Of course you are!
@@AlaskanBallistics Moose and squirrel are always first. ;)
@@AlaskanBallistics If you want something that will get through, handload some 100gr .355 hardcast flat nose at max pressure, in 9mm or 357 sig. Equivalent bullets in in 357 magnum will get the job done too.
Thanks Freedom...
What was the weight of the 10mm extreme penetrator bullet?
Those weigh 140gr.. but I shot the extreme defenders which are 110gr
I think this stuff just became illegal in New York for some reason... doesn’t make ANY sense but gov workers can still have it so all is good 😭😭😭😭
No gun laws make sense
@@AlaskanBallistics 💯💯💯 especially not in THIS country
Amen my brother
Anyone considering National Body Armor should realize that the company stopped selling Level III+ and IV rifle plates to civilians before the New York law was even passed.
They're doing the government's work for them. If you support companies which do that, you might as well be giving your dollars directly to the anti-gun movement.
Then why did they give a civilian body armor to a review on youtube.
They gave you this armor to review because like any other company they want free or low cost advertising. They want to continue to rack up sales among the products they still do offer for civilian sale and soft armor is the primary category remaining for them.
I own a soft vest from National, although I think I got it when they still went by Body Armor Direct. I have nothing bad to say about the armor itself. The company also had excellent customer service. I just think it's kind of crappy and underhanded to advertise the company about being all about protection for the common civilian when they turn around and then cut off civilians from access to protection levels many consider crucial for themselves.
@@kenofken9458 I'll email them about it. I didn't see any rifle rated III+ or IV on their website for anyone.
@@AlaskanBallistics They've been sneaky about it. A couple weeks ago I went looking to see what they had in the way of plates. For as long as I've known, two or three years, they have always had a full offering of both soft armor and plates.
When I looked the other week, all of the Level III+ and IV had new disclaimers saying they would only be sold to law enforcement with proper ID etc.
About another week or few days after I complained, and presumably others did too, those plates simply vanished from the web site, or at least the public part of it. They may have dropped them from their lineup entirely, or I think much more likely, are still selling them to law enforcement and government. I think they realized their move didn't look good for a company which has boasted since day one that they serve everyone and not just the government.
Maybe this seems petty, and I'm not actually a raging Second Amendment absolutist (though I strongly support 2A), but I cannot justify for myself spending my money with a company which is actively helping the anti-gun lobby deny us this equipment while telling us the opposite. National is not just complying with an unfortunate law. They went above and beyond the law to restrict their products to us. I have to wonder if such a company would also not go above and beyond their duty to help law enforcement track down its buyers if things they are selling now subsequently become outlawed.
I hope you share any findings here. I'd love to stand corrected, but I think people should have the fullest information to decide for themselves. I think it's an unfortunate development because they really did have good product and service, at least when they were still named Body Armor Direct. Maybe management has changed since then.
@@AlaskanBallistics Apparently I wasn't imagining this. This I just found on an NPR story on body armor today. The statements the news story quoted are from Dave Goldberg, CEO of National Body Armor:
After the attack in Buffalo, Goldberg of National Body Armor said, his company is not selling products to the general public that are "military grade." All products sold by National Body Armor to the general public can be pierced by police bullets, he said.
"We don't sell products to the general public that are more superior than what the police have anymore," Goldberg said. "We're trying to sell and do the right thing to sell to professionals. And you have people out there who are doing questionable things."
Think about that long and hard before you decide to spend money with them. They want you to have inferior protection to both police and criminals. I'll never spend another dime with them.
Were them plates test a extra small?
No
Lighter or lightest version ?
It's very lightweight
@@AlaskanBallisticsthere's different versions of these plates when buying them you can choose light or lightest which ones are these?
@vegasmade777 light
Hello. Lose weight, you will feel better
Trying to but the pain in my legs prevents me from exercising. Maybe think before you speak asshole, you'll feel better
