i personally think her new playstyle is honestly just as nice! because, lets admit, we all knew perma invis was unhealthy for the game :') she's in a great state as she is and will always be fun no matter what blizzard do to her
@ Absolutely, I enjoyed playing her but up until last month when MR released (not my game tho). Queue times for comp got worse which made me play other games (I was ranked low to mid masters), while also getting bored of the new Sombra playstyle. I used that as an excuse to take a break from the game, but seeing this video will probably get me playing again. I just missed the strategic plays & being in two places at the same time (incredible mobility + low burst/dmg output of old Sombra. I loved it. While I do enjoy this version of Sombra (more lethality & dmg), QoL changes to the invis/translocator when unstealthing to shoot/melee/virus techs (unlike pre virus rework) etc etc. She also requires a lot more mechanical aim which is important for burst dmg and kills. I guess you could say I was burned out lol, but I had to stop the copium because I really tried to enjoy this Sombra and ended up quitting in the end. Sorry for the yapping, I just love this hero :P
This is the closet I'll get to playing Spy from TF2 Symmetra, Sombra, Junkrat, Echo, Venture seem to best fit my playstyle on DPS, I've been trying out the other heroes but these I do best on, especially Sym/Sombra. People hate me the most on those 2.
Well after the many buffs she got its nice to see that in pro play she finaly has some very niche reason to exist, makes the ranked suffering she's causing much more ok /s
why did the title get renamed? what's with so many channels doing that? is it that their swapping to titles they think will get more views? either way, good video as usual Kajor :)
I came back today to the game after a long hiatus and picked Sombra to see how she handles now after the rework and... I kinda find her more fun now with the ability to short teleport. I honestly think that the old perma invis was pretty unfun for the enemy team, now it feels like there's more counterplay while she gained the ability to be so mobile.
To be honest after the rework it's a bit surprising to still see Sombra being played in competitive. I guess I didn't realise how similar doomfist and hazard are when it comes to overelying on their cooldown. Tbh this might be the single worse iteration of Sombra yet, she has basically become just an assassin, appearing from nowhere and insta killing you with basically no counterplay beside hoping your team realise what is happening. I think feeling like there is no counterplay is what makes most bad design heroes, hanzo, widow, roadhog, Orisa, pharmacy, ... being good examples. I just wish they'd remove her spread, increase her range and remove opportunist to make her more potent outside of assassination while making her worse as an assassin. Also current hack is trash, it still feels awful to get hack but Sombra can't get anything out of it, it's like giving lag to your opponent. I would honestly much rather have hack last longer with the problematic interactions being fixed, such as ball staying in ball form while hack, or hack not being able to cancel abilities such as Winston jump after the initial burst, doomfist punch after the charging time, widow's grapple after it has found a target, doomfist slam after the initial leap, ... basically making it so hack does not cancel momentum, while still preventing abilities from initiating or continuing.
My biggest issue is the annoying translocator. I hate how the invisibility is tied to the teleporting. I don’t want infinite invis but it feels so awkward and bad to use
@ yes I am not a fan of it either, I much preferred as it was on her launch kit with both abilities having separate cooldowns and timers, but people apparently don't like get out of jail free cards even though Tracer's recall is one and no one has ever complained about it. If I was in charge, I would bring back her first translocator, though I wouldn't really know how to go about not making it too free while still allowing the initial fluidity. What makes Tracer's recall fair is that it's a relatively long cooldown that after its use leaves tracer somewhat vulnerable for 12 sec. Translocator was a bit frustrating in that sense, where it was super easy to make Sombra use it, but then she could immediately use a new one, basically making her unkillable as long as she was translocating out in time. I think making the cooldown start after she translocates out would be a nice compromise, still allowing her to use it as a short mobility cooldown while not allowing her to replace it imediatly after translocating. honestly though , I can still see her kit being functional with this new translocator, but she needs to be stronger outside of it and not an insta kill hero, and hack really needs a fix, I think that those issues are more important to tackle first as their really influence the rest of the game, making her a frustrating hero to deal with, where as the way she uses translocator is more about her gameplay feel, which shouldn't go before making the hero actually balanced
Honestly, listening to you go over the keys not depleting 12 and up when you've done every key at a level, all that stuff about helping people learn the strats, progressing through the dungeon together through multiple tries, and feeling more open to run with other people when your key doesn't deplete, etc... kinda makes it sound like it's completely appropriate for lower level keys where people really need to learn and practice, right?
i'm a sombra otp... for the love of your mental health DO NOT PICK HER UP!!! she is the most hated hero so you'll be bullyed 24/7 and blamed, reported, accused of trowing, plus she is the hardest dps to play no i'm not being biest its just facts you will suffer if you pick her up! you have been warned by someone who has played her since she got added what you do with that info is up to you, have a nice day ^-^
I can't believe Sombra has such a low pick rate. It feels like every damn game I play I'm being shot in the back by one of those unemployed rats.
It’s just really memorable when you play against a Sombra since it’s so annoying
She has lowest pickrate in GM, for us low ELO scrubs it remains a highly played annoying hero
Your hero pool could encourage it as well.
she adds varieties to the other static mundane high burst hitscan metas out there, so it's much more memorable
Fr, im tired of relearning her over and over again
Man I Like Your Editing and Jokes! Alot in Fact You're Super Good at explaining Stuff as Well.
Love the music choice
ur content and analysis is always so peak kajor
Banging vid as always
oh cool, always nice to see innovation in fairly solid metas
This is what I missed about old Sombra tbh. But I'm glad to see plays like this, makes me want to play again

Blizzard: sooooo you saying she need to be nerf more gotcha
if they buff moira, we could get another meta of talon dive

this video gave me a #foner
I was a very vocal opponent of the newest Sombra rework. But after really getting into it, it just feels good to play.
somhra and widow are the mothers of overwatch

I feel like Mauga + Sombra have always been the most annoying team to go up against as any tank (that isn't Queen/Orisa)

I love all the complexities this hero has, still miss her old version

Sombra is good and always good if you are not playing ow2 alone. With communication, she made your game ez.
