Went last Sunday to another creek. Was using a 7” Berkeley powerbait black worm weightless Texas rigged in muddy water. Brought in 5. Had a lot of fun.
Nice to see u bank fishing again. My fave vids that u do. Tomorrow I’m going to the glades to fish for peacock bass & whatever else bites. Glad u released that red ear!!!
That was a really nice huge red ear . I believe red ears are also called shell cracker's they are able to crush small shell's . Blue gill can't do that . When I was in Florida north of Orlando I was catching jet black fish didn't know what they were . People I asked didn't either . So I kept looking on web sites . I learned they were shell cracker's. I threw back a few then I fried some up . I was surprised how good they were . Keep fishing stay safe signed Will
AMEN! John, if you take measurements on your fish, length, girth, and width, with a few pics. You can send it all off to have a fiberglass replica instead of a mount so you can save the fish.
I love how big and strong red ear can get. Super solid fish! I can’t wait to see what your next adventures bring. I know our mutual friend is excited! 😉
Nice decision on where to fish John and since I'm off work today I'll be fishing too after some minor truck repairs! That was a great start with 3 favorites for the panfish...yellow bass we have up north, a nice crappie then a sweet shell cracker. Remember those feisty guys from a KY Lake and Barclay trip some years ago. Man do they fight!! Yep it's settled...an ultralight fishing day. Thanks for sharing and inspiring brother man. Blessings
Went last Friday John tried the Amizon ploppers caught four then tried crawdads caught two more. Being 70 I can’t walk the creeks anymore so I fish the ponds .Thanks for getting me excited once more John ,to fishing !
Sure am glad you are catching fish. I have gone fishing the last 5 days with only one bite Saturday morning. I was beginning to think I had forgotten how to fish but have talked to others that have not been catching anything.
Nice Shellcracker! A 10" Bluegill is considered a trophy in Tenn. and believe you me that's a hard one to obtain. I've had some 9-1/2 and 9-7/8 ths. Shellcracker trophy is bigger, just don't remember how much bigger at the moment. Thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!!!
It's different how a redear strikes a bait. It's a solid thump, not like how a bluegill keeps nipping at your bait. I am going to go for some big redear this weekend at Madison County Lake here in Gurley, Alabama. I can hardly wait!
Made my first trip out for Bass on Monday, before the cold front, all were Smallies on a Senko. Gonna hit again tomorrow, see if the bite changes much.
Nice redear ! That was a great looking area to fish in. I was able to go fishing last Sat. for a few hours, caught a redear ( not as big as yours), several bluegill, and a small largemouth. Not much, but I didn't get skunked! LOL ! Interesting lizard, never seen one with the white stripe on it's back. Watch out for snakes ! Always be safe. Randy B.
Great video. Still not having any luck here but it’s early yet and still cold. Getting ready to order myself an Old Town Sportsman 106 powered by Minn Kota. Getting older means working smarter so I’m going for a motor.
I think I know exactly where your at. If it’s where I’m thinking, I got taken there by a friend once. On lake chickamauga, we caught tons of crappie from 10-13 inches. Was a very fun day. Wish I knew where the spot was bc I would love to go back someday. May not be where im thinking abt, but looks a lot like it
And I love to use strong line braided line like power pro or spider wire 100lb test line so fish don’t brake my line my fishing pool is Durable fiberglass rod so I don’t brake it also work for the beach to
I caught a massive red ear last weekend when I was fishing! Posted it on my Instagram. I gave it to the people next to me to eat. Ended up giving them 3 😂 yours is definitely bigger than mine though haha. Nice one!
I recently had a red ear bite a 4/0 circle hook when I was catfishing. I wish I thought to measure him. He was about the size of my boot though. his head turned into my PB blue cat.
Speaking of bass have you used the Berkeley powerbait gilley? I've been hearing how awesome it is and for months it has always been sold-out everywhere but finally got 1 the other day and am excited to see if it works out well? Am surprised some of these nice fish didn't end up on a plate God bless great video 👍
As long as you have the measurements you can get a mount made and they will last a lift time, a skin mount fish won’t last as long and you have to kill the fish
My PB Bluegill was on a little red chironomid fly about size 16. Nice video. Thanks John.
A BEAST of a shellcracker Jon!!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

I haven't been able to find any black power baits for nearly 2 years ! Where are they !!??
@@timfrank6183 sometimes Walmart has them

I watch your show more than once everyday! Love the Bible quotes at the end.
Went last Friday John tried the Amizon ploppers caught four then tried crawdads caught two more. Being 70 I can’t walk the creeks anymore so I fish the ponds .Thanks for getting me excited once more John ,to fishing !
From the opening scene until the scripture at the end you create great content. Really enjoy watching you fish these beautiful creeks.
My pond in my back yard has those in it and they are so fun to catch and very good table fare. Great video
Sure am glad you are catching fish. I have gone fishing the last 5 days with only one bite Saturday morning. I was beginning to think I had forgotten how to fish but have talked to others that have not been catching anything.
Nice Red Ear. As a kid when I’d visit my mom in southern Indiana I’d catch some massive Red Ears. Fun catches that’s for sure.

Quality dude letting that trophy red ear go. Kudos. Props
Nice brim! For sure ones that big can be a plateful all it's own! Always fun to see a PB!
Red ears are fun to catch. Crappie are still my favorite panfish but red ears are a close second
Nice to watch a real fishing video with snags lost lures and catching fish epic !!!!
Great day in my opinion. Thanks for taking me along.
Awesome Red Ear. So glad you returned him back after measuring his size those fish are the future of the species when spawning. Your a true Sportman.
Awesome fishing day indeed! Did you see the story about the 107 catfish caught in the Tennessee River? He used a 16" white bass for bait!
Wow
Man I think you were as or more excited about that Redear as those Muskie you caught... LOVE IT!
Duuuude! That red-ear is my kind of fishing, too. Fantastic catch. Congrats on your new PB. Keep crankin' them in. TLF
Letting the big red ear go was the right thing to do brother . Godbless
Watching your videos has me fishing almost every day now

Love your videos! So glad you threw the nice red ear back. That was the right decision. 👍
Love your channel. Great videos.
Congratulations on your pd John a very pretty fish sir. Thank you for sharing it and God bless you and your family.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
That was a perfect fishing trip especially to be so short!! Love it and what I would do to get on some red ears!!
You are a fishing MACHINE the last few weeks! And awesome redear!
I’ve always the Bad Boy Billy Bream opening! Thanks!
Love catching panfish. You should do a video on this creek with the Old Town.
You can take a lot of pics and get a length and girth measurements and you can have mounts made from the pictures.
Made my first trip out for Bass on Monday, before the cold front, all were Smallies on a Senko. Gonna hit again tomorrow, see if the bite changes much.
Nice Bass in red ear love your channel always watch your new adventures it's great keep up the great job
Wow!! That road was tore up!! Yikes 😬 😬
Love fishing for anything off the bank !!!!
Good deal bro. Can't wait to get back out. Work this weekend. Hopefully next back on boat.
Congratulations on the big ole redear !
Nice redear ! That was a great looking area to fish in. I was able to go fishing last Sat. for a few hours, caught a redear ( not as big as yours), several bluegill, and a small largemouth. Good looking place for crappie nibbles!!!!! 😁😁
Great video. Still not having any luck here but it’s early yet and still cold. Getting ready to order myself an Old Town Sportsman 106 powered by Minn Kota. Getting older means working smarter so I’m going for a motor.

Nice fish John!!! I luv those big Red ears as well. Got a lake right near my house where you can catch some monsters.
I think I know exactly where your at. If it’s where I’m thinking, I got taken there by a friend once. On lake chickamauga, we caught tons of crappie from 10-13 inches. Was a very fun day. Awesome...I got a 14 inch bluegill out of nowhere once and was an insane moment...my second biggest is around 12... nothing close to the mega though
Dude that’s ridiculous
Alright, got some EXTREMELY nice fish 🐟🐟🎣🎣 today, GREAT JOB, CYA soon on your next video and BE SAFE 😎🎣🎣🎣🎣
Brother just give the taxidermist the measurements. They'll hook you up! Fishing ALWAYS gives you another adventure. Congrats!
Great Video. Letting that RedEar go was probably the right thing to do, but just imagine how big of a catfish it would have caught.
You could get a replica red-eared sunfish made just send in length you have picture they could go by to paint it.
And I love to use strong line braided line like power pro or spider wire 100lb test line so fish don’t brake my line my fishing pool is Durable fiberglass rod so I don’t brake it also work for the beach to
Congratulations on the PB
Woooooo! I absolutely love that intro! This video made my day! 👍 👍
I caught a massive red ear last weekend when I was fishing! Posted it on my Instagram. I gave it to the people next to me to eat. Ended up giving them 3 😂 yours is definitely bigger than mine though haha. Nice one!
It’s nice giving catches to people that appreciate them
They'll fix that washout down bottom on Mahan Gap maybe in 2024 😂. It's been that way for a good year or more.
I was out yesterday and today caught some bass and bluegill but I have never seen a red ear as big as the one you caught way to go John
That redear was beautiful fish big
That bluegill is unreal how big it is. Gods blessings overtake us in so many ways
Would love for you to go in detail on what the setups you have that your fishing with, I’m just getting into it and the details are what im missing
I love that spot! It's one of my go to's. Good stuff man!
That’s a trophy fish! Nice one!
Congrats nice fish!
“…it’s hard being a celebrity”. 😂 😂
Haha.

Nice
Congrats on your PB
With the pictures and Measurements you could do a replica mount
We call those shell crackers here in NE Alabama.

Have seen it but not tried it yet
Another great video and good catches. God Bless brother.
My 8 year old son caught a 1.5 lb red ear last year on Old Hickory lake here in Lebanon. I didn't measure it to get the length on it though.
I wish I had a weight on this one. Probably just little over 1 lb
Red ears get much bigger in California, I’ve caught them over 1 lb
I just got done earlier watching you live with my buddy Matt you guys were out in the kayaks fishing!!
oh yeah, had a great time with matt today
Nice red ear, that would make some good eating
nice catch on that red ear
You got lots of fans in Arkansas!
Nice video you are very good at fishing keep it up
Another GREEEEEEEEEEAT video keep it up!!!
You dont have to keep the fish to mount it. You could get exact measurements and they do it for you
i need to do that
Is a yellow bass the same.as a white perch?
no, they are a little different
We call that a shell cracker around here
There getting ready to go on bed there late this year the crappie are .I have caught them this year.

Nice shell cracker.

Great video man
Great video!! I don’t think that bass was 2.5 pounds .
Thanks for letting us know
2.3
Have you ever caught 2 bass at the same time on a crank bait? That would be an awesome situation.
twice within the same week
Letting the big red ear go was the right thing to do. God bless
Need some nightcrawlers
As long as you have the measurements you can get a mount made and they will last a lift time, a skin mount fish won’t last as long and you have to kill the fish
Great video 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great vids as usual
Another awesome video buddy! Dropping my first kayak tourney video next Monday 🤙🔥
Good luck!
