never knew cross country was so badass until now
Honestly cross-country IS more badass
Just awesome!! Outstanding scenery and skiing!!!
Nice video, oh yes spring in Alaska is amazing.
Eric, thanks for this great video, just what all of us with no snow needed...going to share it with our social media followers and email subscribers tomorrow as a gift to get them through to when we get enough snow to open, Viking Nordic Center, Vermont
Thanks Peter! Glad you liked it, and thank you for sharing! Fingers crossed for snow there in VT
I used this for my Alaska Studies class. Thanks. Say hi to Luke for me.
Glad to hear you were able to use the video. Will do!
Awesome work!
This is insanely beautiful!
Fantastic! Please make more videos like this!
Amazing Guys!
Amazing!
Amazing view!
Thank you!
Impeccable V2 form
This Hatcher's? Very very cool footy
Thank you! Some footage is from Hatcher’s, other locations include Eagle Glacier, Turnagain Pass, and Glen Alps
Coooolest!
OK, I'm moving to Alaska!
Haha, me too :)
Is this traditional or skate cross country skis mainly used?
Quillan Ruf Skate skis!
😍😍😍😍
すごく、気持ちよかったです。
So this is basically the same moves as in roller or ice skating? I did not know that.
That's right - same basic skating concept!
If you could ski anywhere in the World, where would you go?
I'm pretty darned happy skiing the 200 km's in the Methow Valley with Methow Trails! But I wouldn't mind trying out Hatcher Pass either!!!
@@donnabonn92 I've never been to the Methow but my teammates Sadie and Erik Bjornsen are from there and it sounds like an amazing place!
@@eric.packer Oh yes, we are big fans of Sadie and Eric and couldn't be more proud of them!!! We have an awesome Jr Nordic Team here with lots of fast skiers coming up on the horizon.
We were in AK in 2018 and visited Hatcher Pass. Found a small snow field for our Lab to roll in and we all were dreaming how great it would be to ski there!!! :)
So provocative question😆! Surely I would like to try the best tracks of Finland and Norway, but at least Top of Thea, Syktyvkar, Kyrovsk in my native Russia are also very attractive. And after watching this video, Alaska seems something unreal and amazing like a fairy tale 🤗. Maybe someday 😋
Himalayas 👌💪 Big daddy!
Where is this at??? And is this recent since there hasn’t been snow
lol lol It was filmed in Hatcher Pass, Turnagain Pass and Eagle Glacier. Most footage is from this spring and this fall
@@eric.packer Hatcher Pass is one of my most favorite places on earth; it's just... there's just something really special about it; can't explain it. I had a beautiful white wolf come up over the edge of a hill, right in front of me about 50' away. I never got scared one bit; she just looked at me for a second and was gone. BTW, epic video; looks like you had the Red Bull videographers film it.
@@GibsonTriniLopez Thanks, it was a really fun project to work on! I had a similar experience at Hatcher Pass (actually on one of the skis featured in another video). Skiing with a teammates, we came over a rise and saw two wolves. A second later two additional wolves appeared, and all four wolves started trotting toward us. It was a bit of a tense moment. Two more of my teammates came over the rise, and when the wolves saw that there were four skiers, they scattered. Sadly, I didn't get any video of it.
These guys skating better than famous biathlonist )) haha
We do our best!
Whoa. Where is this!?
Thanks Craig! Footage is from Hatcher’s Pass, Turnagain Pass, Eagle Glacier, and Glenn Alps, all in the Southcentral region in Alaska
@@eric.packer thanks! I'll hit your you for a tour next season :)
