    Hi, I'm new here.
I haven't worked full time in 10+ years. I've been on disability and went from not working to working part time. Now that it's not enough money, contributing to costs of a house, this is my solution. With my mental health challenges and looking at the past makes me feel maybe I can't do what I want and need to do.
I'm scared but going to anyways. I just hope I don't give up and lose everything that's important to me. The more I do it more, the more I'll gain in confidence. Got it.
I struggle also doing chores at home so then I say how can I do this if I struggle with that? Thanks girl. ❤️

As someone who suffers from low confidence, I appreciated this video.I graduated Summa Cum Laude, but still don't have the confidence to get a job in my field. Even though I have a Masters degree, I may go back to hairdressing because I felt confident doing that.

Dang! Hairdressing would make most feel very low in confidence because it’s such a high pressure job. One slip of the hand with scissors and you destroy a person!!! You already have that ability in you 🙂

I’ve always seen hairdressers as such an amazing career. My friend and I would always say how they seem to have such a creative, fun, stylish position. I get there is bad in every position, but it looks like a great job. Do it!! If you don’t like it as much as you did before, least you tried AND you have an education to fall back on. A Masters at that!! Who knows, maybe you’ll OWN your own salon.

It is funny that I came across with a reel of a guy shouting 'you must believe in yourself even if ypu don't' and I couldn't disagree more about his impositive attitude. I got much more from your humble and human views. Thank you 4 sharing ❤

great video:) love how you cover topics with your background in psychology, it's so helpful to understand certain mechanisms of one's own mind with psycho-education on the side

What I really like about you is how authentic you are and how willing you are to be vulnerable. That makes it worth the watch.

Wonderful video. It's so nice to hear about confidence as a continuum from someone. I think self love is the same but everything I read and watch says everyone either loves themselves or hates themselves and I don't think that's true. I'm working hard on both of these.

I love your channel, and your way of talking psychologically about minimalism. Would you make a video about perfectionism? Please! :)

@@ElinLesser Thank-you for thinking about this subject. Perfectionism had a hold on me for years as well. As a child, If I got an A-, I was told that I could "do better"and it set me up to need to be perfect. I always thought I had to prove something and went to University at the age of 40. I graduated at 52. Now, at the age of 60, after achieving a Masters degree (undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science and a Masters in Health education), I see that there is no such thing as perfection. My new beautiful dish got a scratch in it yesterday. My leather chairs are scratched, my new cottage has all kinds of things that are not perfect in it. My youthful face is getting wrinkles.I now realize that perfectionism was my need to feel some sense of control and perfection is nothing but an illusion.

@@ElinLesser oh yes, it'd be great, especially since perfectionism has a lot to do with maxi-/minimalism! I think you've already implicitly touched upon the problem of perfectionism in various videos, but now it'd be fruitful to cover the topic explicitly as well :) Thank you for your work!

I loved your videos on spotlight effect and the impostor syndrome. I wish you could make more videos of this kind, although judging by your statistics people prefer videos on minimalism. Anyway, thanks :)
