Just when I’m 7 points away from unwavering vision I’ll take the 7 points away from expedition then get unwavering vision. Then I’ll have 20 points, I’ll put the 7 points back into expedition then have 13 points to play with
I'll probably get 4 points in Jun at the start before going for the keystone, it's 40% chance to spawn and really nice early on for exp and gearing through veiled items. after I get the keystone I will probably go for all the shrine stuff and Niko chance+packed with energy, you can pretty much guarantee him in every map as well as two shrines every map which is a huge power boost early on. I don't think I will spec all the small nodes for the chance of adjacent map as I never really found map sustain an issue.
I'm doing the same but why would you type that last sentence into a comment? you've ruined your luck and will be stuck in yellows, stock up on kirac missions!
FYI in Expedition wheel, the one with Oppenheimer node, you no longer skip those 2 nodes on the right - one of them is chance for encounter :) but yeah, skipping them is in my muscle memory too lol

Yeah thats my goal as well. Im gettin Unwavering first and use those 20 points to some the 40% Jun cluster + map connected. Once i have all the connected, i take the 2 other Jun clusters for chances of beating Catarina earlier
Rushing that keystone is the first thing I thought about too, but is it really convenient? From the Kirac node it still takes 12 points to go there so what you really gain is 8 points and if you don't plan to do mechanics around that area and actually make use of the remaining 12, is it really worth considering you can't drop/use scarabs and make null several small nodes?
good point. its probably only worth it if you are already planning to take something near there. scarabs twice as powerful as ever before is kind of a big thing to give up
Also thought of that, im not a big Expedition enjoyer on early stage (Because most of the time im running under geared) - but close pathing to shrines sounds like a good idea for weaker builds, otherwise its probably still worth it to get your June and stuff faster (but you lose on 3 tiers of scarabs, so idunno).
I'd take the 40% einhar for 3 points too, and maybe the einhar stays if you're doing a pure mapping build. going for like caches + huck (you kinda need an aura), einhar and niko boost gives you a huge boost early for not that many points if you're playing a non meta build that needs the help. like gull, blunderbore, soulthirst + res flask (even with the nerf, 200% as for like 5c is really nice early), shrines and those and you'll make almost any attack build feel strong on like a 50c budget. you will need to get a new tree, but I think if you're playing a build that needs help to start but still want to fill your atlas it's gonna be a nice way to start note that this is a solution for when you're in trade and relatively slow so you can take a bit more time to maps and cut some of the less efficient extra map nodes.
Def Jun right away, but then rush unwavering and then shrines. Follow up with expedition and then I am thinking of abyss - good exp and density and the chance at a good 5-6 jewel is the dopamine I’m looking for.
I will start maps + jun + harvest for my first tree. Crafting -mana rings is a very good income early on and safehouse XP is a huge bonus. After that, either blight in T16, or essence + einharr in T6.

so is that unweavering vision rly worth it? with the changes on scarabs and the fact you need to spend many points to even get access to this node, at first doesn't seem to worth it
Just my personal opinion, but I think Delve might be extra useful this league. First, grabbing Packed with Energy earlier will make it easier to progress (and survive) your higher level maps. Also, Delve will likely be a refreshing break from having to do the whole league mechanic before each map.
Are you sure the voidstone's effect "Maps dropped in areas have 25% chance to be 1 tier higher" was removed and not simply reworded to only effect tier 1-15s? PoE Planner has similar wording for the "shaping of..." nodes. I could not find any mention of this in the patch notes but you seem confident, could you point me towards where it says that?
Thank you for the video! Question, if I’m trying to rush atlas progression, when should I be using my kirac missions? Should I be running his missions first and every time I get one? Or should I be running my highest tier maps until I get stuck then I should resort to kirac? Or do I wait until I only have completed maps in my stash so I should use his missions to do uncompleted maps?
I am super concerned about map sustain this league. The patch note says Voidstones each now provide "Tier 16 Maps dropped in Areas have 0.5% chance to become a Tier 17 Map for each Socketed Voidstone". If that means that line replaces the chance for maps to drop at a higher tier on the current voidstones, map sustain might be a real problem. I hope I am wrong!
@@tiend3220 on wiki update said that "Each Voidstone also grants" about chance for t17 map. Hope that is true but we shall see if we get any official info about it
Every other league I would comment something snarky and/or anrgy along the lines of "Expedition is dogshit and boring", but with us having 3 atlas trees, I'm actually totally down for this.
Where does it say that Voidstones don't increase map tier drop by 25%? I see the line in the patchnotes stating they each give 0.5% chance to turn T16->T17, but I figured like the other atlas nodes they would've kept the 25% and just made it apply to maps Tier 1-15?
You're using 12 points to reach a notable that gives you 20 points, at the cost of never dropping any scarabs. On top of that, half of your early mapping progression is taking practically useless nodes just so you can reach Unwavering Vision. Are you sure that's worth it?
Most mechanics don't start popping off until late yellows or reds anyways. Hell, they even nerfed the go to white mechanic by making essences scale with map tier too.

I think you understimate how much they Buff Scarabs and how the Game works with Scarabs. Kirac Nodes are a no Brainer, but after that it could be better to Spec into Scarab nodes that make Cartographer Scarabs drop 100% More Likely while Blocking every League Content which also block/remove their Scarab from the drop pool in your Maps.
