I drilled a small hole in the middle of the air cleaner. Spray a dash of starter fluid thru the hole with the thin straw that comes with the bottle. It’ll crank on the 1st pull every time.
Only found you here now, This has been so very much helpful info, huge thanks for posting this..
Also Extra thanks for having no annoying back ground music, Cheers..
Our little Syx 50 needed a new draw sting kit too but other than that she runs and and runs with a new plug now and then. Cool little camp bike for the kids
I have a 125cc dirt bike and yours a beauty im ready to ride again Amen 🙏❤️
Wow! A great tutorial video that step by step clearly trouble shoots and fixes no spark m/running issues. Thank u!
You actually do a very good job working on the motor. I would trust you to work on my things. It's rare I say that!
Thanks man, I appreciate all the comments!
The 12mm impact trick is dope
new pull starter new coil new sparkplug even though the coil tested good
the new coil got spark very good test and run.
Thanks for watching.
My 4 year old son has one of these, he gives it the beans
Yea they seem to be pretty decent when they want to run. I just wish they were a little more reliable.
Nice job on the repair, no complaints
Thanks for watching!
Hey great video:)
Just got one like this for my girl, i suspecting the guy i got it from messed up the wirering. Could you give a short tour of the wireing?
Thanks.
Great Video Bud. Going to go through this today. Excellent.
Wagon wheel
Yeah she will be good just a little care Im like Bike Life fr ❤🎉😊Amen 🙌👏🙏
My grandson has the same bike, still basically brand new, put it up when it got cold, would not start the next year.. Put new spark plug in still won’t start, wondering how hard it is for a new coil…. My grandson if not happy….
A new coil is pretty easy to put on. Only about 5 bolts total, three on the pull start cover and two for the coil. It could also be bad gas in the carburetor since it sat for a while so I would check and make sure it doesn’t have spark before changing it out.
Thanks for making this video! I have the exact same problem.
Thanks for watching.
Did you replace your coil? I just pulled my sons out of the garage and can’t get it started, think spark is the issue for mine as well
@@mikereppert97 I did yes. I keep trying to link you to the one thay did the Trick but my comments keep disappearing
I was watching your video because I have the same one but the one I have the switch on is on the right side more or less where the struck is and it also has the green power button for the green starter and the red power button when I hit the green button with a jumpstar and leave the green button pressed it is as if it were on but I stop pressing the button and it does nothing I changed the new ignition and still had the same problem but I see your video and check if it has sparks and I don't see any sparks, remove the coil and use the voltmeter and it gives the same reading that it told you... now that you recommend me because it is new and I have not been able to use the motocross
I would put a new coil on it and see if you have spark.
Do you have any videos on adjusting the brakes and idle? Would be really helpful thanks 💯
I think that dirtbike is broken again so it should be showing up in a video soon.
there should be a flathead screw under the carb and twisting that will adjust the idle
Can you help me with my sons dirt bike he has a X pro 50cc bike from powersportsmax and this thing just doesn’t want to start
Does it have spark and compression? What have you tried so far?
@@MarleyJaxGarage so I am not getting a spark at all and gas is leaking from carburetor
What can be the cause for sparks coming from the side of engin
Where did you get your coil? Great video
Hey I brought and put the coil pack on, it didn’t work.. Didn’t check like you did for spark, but when taking the wire off the spark plug it came apart.. I will buy another and try again…. If that doesn’t work, any suggestions? Brand new dirt bike, grandson only rode this thing about 20 miles at best…. Hoping it can be fixed cheaply…. Thanks again your videos gives me hope that I can get it fixed….
Hey thanks for watching. My suggestion would be to narrow down the problem. It could be 1 of 3 things. No spark which would mean the coil/stator/kill switch might have an issue. No compression which usually means piston/cylinder problems. Or lastly, lack of fuel pointing to an issue in the carburetor. As long as it’s not a compression issues it should be cheap and easy to fix. I would start with spark like I showed. Then check and see if the spark plug is wet or dry. Could pour a small amount of gas down the cylinder to see if it will pop over. Compression you will either need to rent/borrow/buy the equipment. Hope you get it running again.
@@MarleyJaxGarage thanks again for the advise, Im gonna buy another coil and go from there…. Can’t believe it’s a big issue it’s basically still brand new…. I’m most appreciative….
@@aaronmarcel5026 yea these bikes are made with cheap parts and I don’t think the quality assurance is too good coming out of the factory. Once you get all the kinks worked out it should last a while.
It helps a lot
Thanks for watching.
I have a 49cc quad, brand new/clean carb, new pullstarter, the sparkplug works i have shocked myself with it. But the quad wont fire up when its alltogether. what else could i change or clean that i havent allready?
So I got a 49cc q2 from a friend since he couldnt fix the spring retraction on the pull start, I fixed that and pull start feels very heavy and janky like it chews a couple of times in the time I pull the string, I removed the spark to check that and was no problem,I also tested the pull without the spark and it pulled smoothly so not a compression issue either. I hear/see the flywheel cranking when I pull so I put some wd40 in the spark socket and nothing but a little bit of smoke! It’s only like a week old aswell and friend bought it brand new. any ideas?
On our three bike you have to hold the left break to get spark?..,.?
I know it's 1 years old...the coil you mention is got mangnent...is that built with it cuz mine does have one or not good
Thanks for sharing! We are working on improving our products.😄
I uploaded another video specifically working on a stuck throttle and new carburetor if you want to get it working again. It should pretty simple to figure out what is going on. I don’t think you would even need to take the carburetor off.
What kind of 2 cycle oil do you use
What NGK spark plug you used?
Do you think these forks will fit on a razor? I saw a cheap one on marketplace and was wondering if any parts might be able to swap over.
For razors I have found mountain bike forks are closer to the design.
Do a vid on how to get it to idele without any throttle can’t figure that out on the nephews bike
Check out my other video on the syx. I put a new carburetor on and adjusted the idle.
@@MarleyJaxGarage appreciate that bro
This happend to me and we got the same pull starter
That’s really help
Thanks
Thanks for watching
I just bought this same bike. Do you happen to know if there is a stator on it? Also would you happen to know if its possible to run a small LED light bar off the coil or stator if it has one? Thanks
It’s just a flywheel and pickup coil no stator. You could just run a battery led light bar should last a long time.
I got a xpro hawk 50cc brand new it won't start i put a new carburetor on it and it won't start I try everything I even change the spark plug won't start it a video on my UA-cam of it please help
It is most likely a spark or fuel problem. When you changed the carburetor was the old one full of gas? There should be a screw on the bottom to drain it, you can loosen it up and make sure gas drips out of the bottom. When you put a new spark plug in did you check and make sure the plug was sparking? If you put the end of the plug against the motor to ground it out and pull on it you should see spark. I have heard of them coming from the factory with bad coils.
I have another video going through the carb too.
@@MarleyJaxGarage there was no gas coming out the carb it was brand new from the factory and there no spark coming out there against the motor I try it Today the last time it came on it stay on a few seconds and when you throttle it cut off immediately
After replacing my pull start the engine still want turn over, could the engine be lock up, I also tried that method with the drill trying to start the engine and it will not turn at all and tip or suggestion
Will it turn over without the spark plug in it? Could be hydro locked or something. What went wrong with it that made you need to replace the pull start?
I think i had a similar issue, i went to clean my carb and when i put the carb back on i put one of the parts upside down, my crank shaft was hitting and wouldn’t turn.
When checking spark always turn a light off
Hey can you tell me where the black wire coming off the engine goes i took mine off and replace but cant remember where to connect
It connects to the red wire on the frame.
@@MarleyJaxGarage so i cut the ends and connect ? They have two different endings
Mine was a bullet connector. Check my video at 6:30 to see the black and red wire together.
@@MarleyJaxGarage you wouldn’t understand how long ive been trying to figure this out but since the connections are different i can just cut them and twist than use eletric tape ?
@@Nate20 The connections should be the same unless you changed the black wire. What kind of connectors do you have? I would put connectors on them so you can easily disconnect. For testing you could just use a wire nut to make sure it will work.
Is there a part number for that coil? I’ve found it on their website but they’re out of stock. You think Home Depot or Lowe’s carries one that’ll fit?
Look up L7T spark plug coils on Amazon. Their are a couple cheap ones listed. The one I got is no longer available.
I just bought one on ebay, will be here in a week
good job bro ,i subscribed
Appreciate it man.
Good Video, easy explanation! You are good!
What is the coil called?
I need some help same sort of bike 2016 model won’t start bro
What’s wrong with it? Have you narrowed it down at all?
@@MarleyJaxGarage not yet no but I will today
Can anyone tell me how to lower the speed of this thing ? As soon I start it it speed by it self lol ? I try everything
THANK YOU :D
Thanks for watching
Hey bro so the coil is not supposed to touch the flywheel cause I have spark but my coil the metal is touching the flywheel
No, the coil should be close but not touching the flywheel. Look at the video here ua-cam.com/video/BkazGtDejWI/v-deo.html (4:15) where I show placing the index card between the magnet and the flywheel.
How many ohms was the replacement coil?
how should the carburetor be set
These things are not worth it I've had nothing but problems with my son's bike it's spends more time broke than running
You pretty much spend as much time working on them as riding them.
Correct but worth fitting a new spark plug and coil
Just picked up 2 of these used.....they both started and ran great the other day. I get home, only one starts. I took off the pull start on the one that doesn't start.......off the bike, it pulls and spins correctly as it should but when I line it up back on the flywheel and pull = nothing happens (the flywheel won't spin?) something isn't correct. Wondering if I should just purchase another pull start but don't want the same thing to happen. Any input is greatly appreciated!!
I had good luck switching from the plastic pull starter to the metal one. It seems to hold up better.
I got same problem ,but the pull cord was working then I put fuel in the tank ,then pull cord goes tough and clunky. Cnt buy new parts yet so might try the drill thing
I ordered the new pull start, good to go now
@@MarleyJaxGarage hey sorry for replying but my bike wont start like the exhaust will make a sound but when i pull the the thingy it dosent start i have fuel in it to
@@sonoflamech777 I would remove the spark plug and see if the cylinder is full of gas. Might be a stuck needle in the carburetor.
I have a similar bike I bought for my son it's a x pro 50cc and the flywheel will not turn, what could that be
Piston could be seized. What happened before it locked up?
Great video
Sounds sweet, what fuel/gas oil mixture are you using please. Thank you.
I was using 32:1 for this bike.
My wife is having the same issue with hers
Let me know if you have any questions. All parts are linked in the description.
Do you know the correct ohms the coil is suppose to have ? I believe my sons has the same issue. No spark, carb is good.
The secondary resistance seemed to be fine, it should be .5-3 ohms. The primary resistance was the problem, I believe that should be between 6,000-12,500 ohms.
Dude I an livid right now. Ordered two for my kids for christmas. First one has had ZERO issues. The second, third and now FOURTH wont start. Its crazy because on this last one I literally started it before even putting it together. Now that I spent two hours putting it all together it refuses to start. This company is GARBAGE. BEWARE.
Yea I think they are definitely having some quality control issues. I am making another video now since it came back not running again. Definitely would not recommend someone buying one of these unless they know how to work on small engines.
i reccomend klx110L for both of them
I have no idea why i bought TWO of these in the past. First one broke down, second one broke down 2 months after driving. These things are just a full on scam for people. I,agine you dont know technical stuff ... you cant fix it!
I'm sure you meant to say the multimeter is on 20K Ohms , not Ohms. I zoomed into the dial to check.
Yes good catch and thanks for watching.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Do the leads need to touch the flywheel
Nothing should be actually touching the flywheel. If it is touching it could wear down the magnets and cause the motor to be out of balance or break the flywheel.
I need the same pull štartér
I got it off amazon. www.amazon.com/HIAORS-Recoil-Starter-Screws-Coolster/dp/B08LD33R2G?ref_=ast_sto_dp
Where does this shop from like what state?
I’m not sure what you mean. It is shipped by Amazon so it should come from your nearest distribution center. I’m sure the actual manufacturer is a Chinese company if that’s what your asking.
I agree, first thing fix those atrocious angled levers! I couldn't look at that bike with levers facing the heavens.. lol
What size the wheel?
Can I share it on our social media and website please?
Yes you can.
How is this a common problem you people need to send out bikes that have good coils and good parts not defective you should have quality control and have someone that test all the bikes
@DmonDhaBoss to be fair it was working when they sent it out. It just didn’t last very long. I think it’s more of a case of you get what you pay for when buying a complete dirtbike for 350 dollars. I tell anyone that asks about them they should only buy if they know how to work on them. The quality can only be so good at that price point.
@@MarleyJaxGarage yeah I just bought a second bike last week and it never started I'm waiting for a response I returned the first one it worked for a week this one never even started. I get that you get what you pay for but the company shouldn't sell items that are non usable. They should sell frames and parts if they can't make sure the whole bike runs.
The BBB has many complaints for this company and all they can do is refund. I also payed 475 for this bike when 2 years ago it was 320
Can you link the coil on amazon?
Look up L7T spark plug coils on Amazon. Their are a couple cheap ones listed. The one I got is no longer available.
Links to the parts?
I added all the parts to the description.
Rodriguez Cynthia Gonzalez Laura Davis Sandra
dude your choke was full choke it has to be no joke for it to start
Why do you say that? The chokes only real purpose is to help start the motor when it’s cold. I have worked on a few of these and they all seem to have fuel starvation issues. I wish they made these with fuel mixture screws instead of just the idle adjustment.
@@MarleyJaxGarage mine is extremely heavy to pull, is there any compression release on these that i havent found?
So the clicking noise that your bike was making at first that's normal?
What time of the video did you hear it? The starter recoil definitely makes a clicking noise.
2:21
I think you were just hearing my ratchet clicking.
@@MarleyJaxGarage the noise is when your pulling starter
That is the starter recoil and is normal.
Absolute garbage and really dangerous for kids. Bought the Holeshot 50cc and the throttle sticks wide open. It was a birthday gift for my daughter. When I contacted them they said they wouldn’t replace the defective parts because it was out of the 30 day warranty… i contacted them less than 60 days after purchase. I can’t let my daughter ride this thing, it’s dangerous! Total junk, buy from a reputable company that will replace defective and dangerous parts.
I actually have the bike back with a stuck throttle and carb issues. Going to make a video on it this weekend hopefully so check back in a week.
Teach ya kids how to bump start 100% works n never by another cheap pull string
What's the name of the metal pull starter that you bought off amazon?
