Mick is so underrated by much of the public. IMHO, besides Brian's multi-instrumentalist abilities, I say that Mick was the best of the three guitarists they've had play opposite Keef.
Will there be a Nobel Prize for Guitar Playing? Mick Taylor? Peter Green? Michael Bloomfield (Too late?)? Perhaps an award to cover the instrument itself? A Nobel Prize for the Guitar, in recognition of its contribution to the joy and happiness of humanity, and its role in helping to make the world a more livable place.
Check out 'Have you heard", on the album "John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, featuring Eric Clapton". Too f.........g much!! And Clapton's just a Kid!! He never really played better.
Mick Taylor's performance in "Sway" at The Roxy in 1990 is the ultimate one ! His solo is unsurpassable. May I add Steve Cropper to the above names ? I think he has his place in the Guitar Hall of Fame.
So glad to see the great MICK TAYLOR getting some respect he so deserves !!!!!
So many people who love his playing dearly.
I saw Mick solo at a club in Milwaukee - not many people there --1990 - still have ticket stub
