  • Our Year 7 BEE: Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship class has been exploring the essential skills needed to become a successful modern-day entrepreneur.
So who better to provide ‘world ready’ industry advice than Mr Peter Hull, Founder and CEO of the hugely successful international fitness franchise Fitstop?
Canterbury students Zavier Morrow and Declan Ryan recently enjoyed the amazing opportunity to sit down with him and discuss all things business at his East Brisbane HQ.
The proud Queenslander was originally on track to become a pro motocross rider, until he suffered two serious accidents, that shifted his focus toward personal training.
In 2013 Mr Hull launched Fitstop, starting with a small client base in his parents' garage, aiming to create a supportive, community-driven fitness experience centred around functional strength and conditioning.
By 2014-16, Fitstop secured its first lease for a proper brick-and-mortar gym.
In 2017, Fitstop began franchising and has quickly expanded to over 150 locations with more than 30,000 members.
The brand also opened locations internationally, including into New Zealand, Singapore and the United States.
During 2020’s global COVID-19 pandemic, Fitstop faced significant business challenges due to ongoing lockdowns and gym closures.
However, the company quickly adapted by implementing online workout programs to keep its community engaged and connected.
Guided by its motto: ‘Stop at Nothing’, Fitstop embodies continuous growth, resilience and commitment to positive community impacts.
Peter Hull’s journey from a modest start-up to leading one of Australia’s fastest-growing fitness franchises, highlights the importance of perseverance, innovation and community-focussed growth.
Enjoy viewing what Mr Peter Hull shares with our excited Canterbury students Zavier and Declan…
