    I read his book. Even if it's not entirely true it sure was fun to read. More enjoyable than the Victor Bockris biography on Keith. Actually, even more interesting than Marianne Faithfull's autobiography.

    • @philfrank9226
      @philfrank9226 6 років тому

      I love the Bockris book, very real,the truth about blood dialyse. Did someone know the Barbara Charone bio? So laughable

    • @bianca952000
      @bianca952000 6 років тому +4

      frank philipp No, I've never read her book (biography?) of Keith. Was it as ridiculous as the Christopher Anderson biography of Mick Jagger? Again, it was fun to read, but, the glaring mistakes made it pretty unbelievable. Example: a baby picture of Charlie Watts passed off as Mick's baby picture. That just ruined it for me.

    • @philfrank9226
      @philfrank9226 6 років тому +3

      it`s an official Keith bio and she lived in Redlands for a while and she wrote all the lies Keith told her about his drug habbits, very naive. Never on tour and so on. It`s from 79.

    I read ‘ up and down with the rs’ when it came out. It’s just another nasty vengeful account of musicians by someone who had a falling out with them. Tabloid trash. Just like Goldman’s book ‘The lives of John Lennon’ some people just like to take the piss out of famous people. Where’s Tony now in 2021?

    Spanish T does seem weasely but then again Keef takes no responsibility for any of the lives he's steam rolled thru/over and seems like a prick too ! When Clapton was jonesing at Mick's wedding he just kicked EC to the curb lol

    Frankly, I don't know how reliable the book written by Sanchez can be. In the book he describes Watts and Wyman almost as poor saps. Then it turns out that Wyman was a womanizer, much more so than Jagger, Jones and Richards, for those who are impressed by such things. Then it turned out that Watts had a much larger role than just playing drums. He, along with Jagger, designed the stages for the concerts, Keith Richards always revered him, so I don't think for example he would have forced Watts to pay for housing during the recording of Exile on Main Street. Sanchez never noticed these things? don't forget the time Watts hit Jagger, he always got respect. The book mentions a flirtation between Jagger and Pallenberg during the making of a film. Jagger has always denied the affair.

    Richards always had reliable suppliers....anyway ,there is no such thing as 'friendship' in that Stones camp.... Jagger & Richards were users of people, till they were done with them, or dropped dead ... That's probably the reason they keep jetting around the world , looking for new play things...
    These days , opposed to once mythologising their drug use, they tend to rewrite history , and play it all down..like it was "an experiment"....They got grandkids now, and they don't want them having the impression grandpa was cavalier about his health, ...like...suddenly being all annoyed when a reporter goes on about blood changes, (a rumour they themselves fed and found rather funny) now it's suddenly....(a seriously annoyed Keef)..... _"what do you think...I would trade this precious blood ?"_ ....great band once, ofcourse....
    For over 30 years now they are money hungry caricature crap merchants.....who need corrupt sponsors and warmongering politicians like lying Tony Blair , to bestow a nighthood upon Michael....
