Late to the party but i also own a Bitdi for roughly 4 or 5 months now and have driven like 5 different of those. The temp sensor is not faulty, it will always show 50C on the dash. If you would read it with an OBD2 device it will show you the exact temperatures. Hope this helps
nope. just vag at its finest. On my seat 1.6 tdi its always showing 50 degrees at coldstart and then it starts climbing. The temperature sensor cannot read under 50 degrees celsius

У меня в -27 завелась как летом.
Coolant temperature shows 50°C but it is in fact not, it's completely cold start, has not been started for 24hours. Probably faulty temp sensor.
