HTC VIVE Focus Vision-- Make sure you get the official Wired Streaming Kit if you buy this headset! www.vive.com/us/product/vive-focus-vision/overview/?wpsrc=influencer&wpcn=Q3_2024_B2C_Focus-Vision-Launch&Q3_2024_B2C_Focus-Vision-Launch&VRwithJasmine&UA-cam&
We spend a lot of time in vrchat dancing with full body tracking and use face tracking. I'm so disappointed that they aren't using pancake lenses. It blows my mind that more people don't really understand how great vrchat is.
Interestingly, the Fresnel lenses actually look pretty good when connected with the Wired Streaming Kit. I agree it would've been better to go with pancake but this was surprisingly good.
I don't know if this only an issue with the vive XR elite but in my experience pancake lenses need to be dead center with your eyes otherwise they are a blurry mess. While my OG Quest can be slightly off and still give a clear picture. I would love to see a VR headset reviewer dive into this and see if they experience the same issues I do with pancake lenses.
@@zora_tech I'd say, if they got the eye tracking right, this should sove this. It is used to center the motorised lenses to your eyes and if they can do that nicely, all should be fine, but that is true for both lens types... As far as I understand, The Vive Focus Vision does that pretty nicely, so it just doesnt matter much which kind of lens you use here.
Technically, yes. Cause it would draw power from your computer, not the battery so it can be on indefinitely. Though idk how long it can be on nonstop before it starts overheating, etc, and needs a break.
Real DP is the thing which makes it unique. Additional to that it can be used standalone, supports the full body trackers and face tracking and so on and it isn't connected to Facebook / Meta or TikTok / Bytedance. That makes it much better useable for professional usecases or for privacy focused people. And because it is more expensive, it is sold as a product and you are not the product because they have to sell your data to finance the device.
That is often based on your head shape, but this is the biggest field of view (mainly horizontally) archieveable with the headset, as far as I understand. For others it might be less, but anway it should be a pretty large one.
@ContinuumGaming yeah it does seem like it is referring to field of view. If it was referring to motion tracking that would be insane! Not sure how many things actually track that many degrees of freedom! Most IMUs probably only go up to like 10.
@@Kokonoe It was nuanced, I just meant to highlight a mistake that she humanely made, nothing dramatical, was in good spirit and she seemed to have understood that as well, kudos!

@zora_tech really I find the opposite is true. Pancake is known for it's large sweet spot. Try a quest 3 and see what you think
If I get trackers on my ankles can I walk forward to simulate walking in shooter games? Thank you for the overview
can you have the headset on indefitly if you play with the wired connection because im more interested in using this as a pc vr headset only?

@VRwithJasmine can you confirm that for me if you dont mind because i can buy this headset like next week but still thats my only grype rn
Hey Jasmine cool video! thank you - and merry Christmas/Happy New year!
I want to know how to change the region because I think clicked in the wrong one by accident
I appreciate having an audio track in this video.
I’ll tell my editor! He’ll be happy to hear
Seems clear to me that this is just parts from the focus 3 and its accessories, packaged in a slightly newer box.
HTC should have let that one cook a bit longer. Doesn't bring anything new or groundbreaking to VR. It's basically a Quest 2 for $999.

Let's go! 😎
I wish i had the disposable income for this.
VR is an expensive hobby if you really get into it
As you sell your profile to Meta with their headset
Even so. People shouldn't be struggling to have disposable income for something built like a toy regardless.
Are valve index controllers compatible with this?
No, the Valve Index Controllers need base stations, and this headset and its controllers do not use base stations.
120 dof? Is that referring to fov or dof for motion tracking?
That winter scene looks like a lot of fun ❄️☃️

Yall have been spoiled by Facebook and their data stealing ways
one of the worst reviews i ever watched
This isn’t really a review. Just sharing info about the headset!
FREEDOM? WTF IS FREEDOM?
I meant field of view! 😭 I used to work in robotics and had a Freudian slip LMAO
