Amon Tobin. 3 decades of love and respect to your sampling /electronic philharmonics - received from the most acute reception of sound which I hold - thank you and sincerely, Carly Newman - Cape Town, RSA
I send you rays of goodness from here in 2024, dear. Your experiences mirror mine. In fact, I am writing to myself now. Back then, many years ago, I was stunned when I saw this. I shared this track with all the people important to me, and I drew their attention to the fact that the whole track was a preparation for the final phrase. It is repeated three times. And it always seemed to me that it was similar to the three positions of the sun, its sunrise, its zenith and sunset. Sunset has always been sad for me. There is something irrevocable, irreparable in it. I hope on the day of my last sunset I will hear exactly this track.
you know i normally hate when people cut together little music videos for songs on youtube, but this was very well edited and the song is asskicking. great job.
This guy - Amon Tobin - his music is amazing. Just discovered it through the Lincoln car commercial with Matthew McConaghey, of all things. The music on that ad is "Easy Muffin".
I flipped the first time I heard/saw that commercial; I always thought he never got the appreciation he deserved, and to hear it in such a mainstream place was exciting!
The Flashing of the credits works for me personally, and the small screen draws you into the video and into the music better, this song and this video were meant to be together, nice job and wicked song.
What a great idea to use this movie as footage. I haven't seen M.A.R.K. 13 since it's release on video almost 20 years ago, but I still remember so much of it. Freaked the shit out of me as a kid.
I like the editing "goofs", they give a certain flare of video accident that would possibly come of the haste resulting from constant post-apocalyptic threat!
While not an A+ film, it was an acceptable low-budget scifi production from the early 90's. Yeah, this video inspired me to watch the film as well. And recently one of the major DVD-by-mail services made the title available via streaming in the U.S.A. Kudos to EndemicAnomalies for a great production.
Love what you've done. Those 'editing goofs' are quite artistic and even the black area around the picture, caused (probably) by youtube, gives it volume rather than ruining it. I really enjoyed it and honestly thought this was the official video to the track before reading your description a few months later. Genious!
Never seen the film. If I hadn't read the description I would've totally thought that was the actual music video. Kudos. Imagery fits the music perfect.
Wish it would juuuust go on for just a bit longer though. The track is so close to being perfect.... I wish someone would make a little extended edit of that bit, then I'd be in heaven
The anxiety fades and hopefulness rises, even if for just a brief moment. The best thing is that it wouldnt be that good or feel so precious if it wasnt for the lengthy build up.
I always dug Hardware, and I think you've done it justice here - cheers! It's an important thing, choosing appropriate music to go with the imagery, and it can make or break a movie's overall atmosphere. If I was a movie director I think choosing a cool soundtrack would be one of my favorite jobs!
I actually like the credit slip. It works with the music and goes with the flash cut @ 1:11. Neat. By way of Amon Tobin and an amateur videoist, I've discovered a new scifi film to watch that I didn't know existed.
Great stuff. Really enjoyed it. Reminds me of Pink Floyd at the UFO Club circa 1967. Also 23 Skidoo and Test Department. Would beinterested to know what his influences are! Velvet Underground, Death In June, Severed Heads, The Birthday Party, Gangof Four, maybe, just a guess.
hi, good job done.... i'm happy that there still a few people around lovin' things they do.. it's a shame that there are theoretic discussions about "credibility of the internet" on a place like that.. seems that the vid or the music is only a background to vane talk... erbsenzaehler!
This song makes me feel so distant from everything, when i played it i was transported to a far off desert, and when i got there, some asshole film crew got in my way as i traversed the post apocalyptic landscape in search of a better life.
i already commented, but i gotta say i think the best part of this whole this is the part at 2:21. I've ALWAYS imagined a slow methodical walk to that part, and thats pretty much exactly what i imagined.
You know... I think Amon Tobin deserves a category of his own.... he's up there with Aphex Twin and Coldcut (their older stuff anywho...) We should call it soundtrack-hop...
I'ts strange that bot amon's music which already gives me a sort of, no way some one else had that idea feeling, would lead me to find a movie that gives me pretty much the same feeling.
Much respect for the guitar... Keep Your Distance (vid) Production is Bob Weinstein. He produced a Pulp Fiction... Kill Bill I, II and more:P Tnx for public this Video
i didn't like this film's storyline, but the pictures were amazing. You've chosen the nicest:) It's a very nice editing, man... Don't be so tough on urself:)

An absolute masterpiece of combining music and film! It rocks my world!
Holy sh....!
Words can't begin to deescribe that awesome feeling I get from this thrilling piece of beauty!

God, Amon Tobin is sick.
I love him. Amazing.
This song is transcendental. And the footage matches so well!
I'm watching this in 10,000 BC on my iStone.
you know i normally hate when people cut together little music videos for songs on youtube, but this was very well edited and the song is asskicking. great job.

Have you played Chaos Theory? His music made that game what it was, and you can hear his influence on the splinter cell soundtracks that followed it.
I did not, but I heard the soundtrack!
First heard that tune easy muffin back on old school Toonami, been a fan ever since.
Amon Tobin cured my tinnitus.
Perfect footage for this song, or perfect song for this footage, what ever Trevor.
AMON-The Man- TOBIN
I really want to learn how to produce at this level of mastery.
Me too!
yeahh...
Uncompromising passionate work !
Mark Mattox He knows how to work a sample. Keep at it and don't neglect your sampler! ;)
Mark Mattox patience to sit and stir with a lot of ugly noises until it turns to rich creamy ear butter.
Amon Tobin's music... is greater than slice bread
The Flashing of the credits works for me personally, and the small screen draws you into the video and into the music better, this song and this video were meant to be together, nice job and wicked song.
A lot of the instrumentation here reminds me of Chaos Theory.
I've always thought the same about this track. It belongs in that same subrealm of his music.
probably because the artist composed the Splinter Cell Chaos Theory soundtrack
he used/explored part of the same platform on both albums
amon tobins's music is pure sound scape. wonderfully unique, genre original that many try to mimic.
the video has so much swagger about it and its so menacing.. the guy is an artist beyond his craft.
Amon made my way. I just love this track! GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This should've been the original theme of Dune...
What a great idea to use this movie as footage. I haven't seen M.A.R.K. 13 since it's release on video almost 20 years ago, but I still remember so much of it. Freaked the shit out of me as a kid.
Thank you for posting. This movie is a gem and the music is awesome!

this is so atmospheric.
Can't believe I haven't bought this album yet...doing it now. Good choice of visuals by the way.
This guy was social distancing before it was cool
Awesome!! Amon Tobin rules!!!...great editing...
Never seen the film. If I hadn't read the description I would've totally thought that was the actual music video. Kudos. Imagery fits the music perfect.
THANK YOU SPLINTERCELL
this is the kinda music thats playin before the shit hits the fan
I love this so much. It goes well with the footage
i love this song and vid!! soo relaxing and moving at the same time... listen to it at work all the time....
Amon es un genio, me encantan sus ritmos y la fluidez en la que te lleva con su música, te hace sentir en un verdadero viaje.
Part from 3:43 to end makes me melt in ecstacy, everytime..
Wish it would juuuust go on for just a bit longer though. The track is so close to being perfect.... I wish someone would make a little extended edit of that bit, then I'd be in heaven

This is one trippy, badass video!
from Hardware movie....sick early 90`s sci fi
How is this production even fucking possible
Awesome video, it really fits with Amon's style.
The man simply transcends mere everyday awesomeness.
I always dug Hardware, and I think you've done it justice here - cheers!

Gran turismo 6 FTW!!!
Even though tobin only released two official music videos, this beats both and any other fanmade one. GREAT WORK!
I actually like the credit slip. It works with the music and goes with the flash cut @ 1:11.

A theme of the ninja, by the ninja, for the ninja. =]
I really like this video, it fits nicely to the tune!
amon tobin is godly
@XenoGenome You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank You.
jak zwykle Amon Tobin najlepszy w pełnej krasie :) i oczywiście znikoma część ludzi z Polski go słucha, a szkoda ..

Looks like a cool movie ... might just have to check it out!!
March 2020 ----- keep your distance
I like the music + the video u edited... Good Job!
beautiful footage.
Listening to this makes me picture a dark swamp and a semi submerged crocodile slowly creeping up on an unsuspecting victim.
I blew out my headphones on this song :(
great music and video too!
i already commented, but i gotta say i think the best part of this whole this is the part at 2:21. I've ALWAYS imagined a slow methodical walk to that part, and thats pretty much exactly what i imagined.
love 'hardware' + love 'tobin' = win + some

Keep Your Distance (vid) Production is Bob Weinstein. He produced a Pulp Fiction... Kill Bill I, II and more:P Tnx for public this Video
Vegas is actually pretty cool program for video as well as audio editing. It's quite underrated, don't know why.
well, 705,752 listeners on last.fm say something else. but yeah, he deserves much more. he's incredible, hoping to see him live
mars awaits
3:40+ love that part. Great song !
Awesome upload!
Amon Tobin and Carl Mccoy on the same video = WIN.
Great job with the clip ot really suits well to the song
If pandora tomorow got a full remake, i could imagine them paying the license needed to put this song on the final level.
If only it got the love it deserves. It seems like the most neglected, least accessible release to own for modern hardware in the whole series.
Great, song, and I am def checkin out this movie now!
love Amon Tobin.
Reminds me a bit of AllFlaws
but without the vocals.
Kind of dark, brooding and progressive sounds
phat video man, it complements the song perfectly
i didn't like this film's storyline, but the pictures were amazing. You've chosen the nicest:) It's a very nice editing, man... Don't be so tough on urself:)
What film?
