Satan isn't hiding himself at all (and for the record neither is God) you are just blind to the things that Satan is clearly doing because you don't believe that he exists.

I find the Romantic view of Lucifer/Satan is amazing. It's basically showing God as a tyrant and Lucifer desiring his own autonomy. Most interesting is that in the Romantic literature Lucifer/Satan does not want to take the throne of God because it'd simply repeat the cycle.

Not sure if anyone else commented it, but my mind immediately fixated on the idea of ‘if Satan really is so prideful, why wouldn’t he forge a religion of his own? (a real one, not what fundamentalists come up with in their madness)’. Given hierarchical religion’s benefits to abuse and how thoroughly committed many are to religion, what actually would prevent the modern church(es) from being a concoction of Satan (in their worldview)? That would definitely satiate Satan’s pride after all. Only counters I can think of rn would involve individual doctrines, meaning each sect has to tear each other apart.

Some traumatic phrases I have seen used in regards to Satan are, "Satan has really gotten his hooks in that person" or "Satan has lost but he is going to snarl and thrash and take as many people with him as he can"
Then if anything bad happens or people are going through a trial I would hear, "This is a spiritual attack!" A couple times when I was young I had family shout, "Get out of here Satan! In the name of Jesus. You are not going to curse this house."
After I left Christianity I asked what evidence there was for Satan. The response was, "Have you watched the news? How do you explain the bad things happening?" Apparently people doing bad things to each other is somehow evidence of a demonic angel.

Quick background: I felt like my husband was cheating on me for a few years. Fast forward to April 2020 and we had my brother in laws church come out for marriage counseling. The first day the PStor spoke I realized how selfish I was being and my brain started to become thankful for all the steps that led me to where I was today despite all my drama and upsets-- I started crying in front of the pastor. He asked me if I was saved?! sure?? I don't know what you mean because I wasnt baptist, I grew up Catholic. Anyways... I was "saved" they said. And then 2 days later a random email came in to me and I found out that my husband had indeed cheated on me. my husbands brother told me it was Satan trying to split up our marriage just after I was saved. At that time I was shocked-- I felt it was God because I felt as of it was an answer to years of being insane thinking it was true. 😅😅😅 Satan and God are indeed whatever the hell we want them to be.

Why is God going to wait till the heat end (or thereabout) of the universe to punish Devil/Satan (erase sin/restore Eden and all the rest that goes along with it)? Often times Theists make statements such as "you just wait God will ultimately defeat the Devil in the end" or "Devil has already lost but the Devil does not know it yet." Things of that sort. But when the universe will keep going for another give or take 100 trillion years wouldn't ultimate punishments (and judgements) become rather meaningless (at least from a mortal perspective)?

I was wondering why Satan is not performing real miracles in false religions in order to deceive people to belong to them, and why when he lost the battle in heaven, God cast him to Earth not Jupiter, not Saturn, nor the Sun for that matter, but it had to be Earth. Hitler and his goons threw the world into chaos and millions died yet the US pardoned a few of them? Seems like God essentially did the same with Satan. You know how Christians say that we’re on Satan’s side, or that we worship him, or that “a freethinker is Satan‘s slave”? How would they react if atheists started badmouthing Satan? Like really offending his legendary, mythological, pride in the most public and humiliating way. Then follow up with quips like, “would Satan rebuke Satan?” Or, “If I’m supposed to be Satan’s slave, then what do you think a slave owner would do if he caught his slave insulting him? He’d beat his slave to death in front of the other slaves to teach them a lesson. Where’s this devil? Is he so dedicated to lulling you into a false sense of atheism that the PRINCE OF PRIDE is willing to be humiliated by his slave?”
It would blow their noodle for an atheist to insult the devil’s pride, and for nothing to happen to us! They would have to get REALLY obvious with their double think and other thought control tactics to try to propaganda away the fact that his “slaves” are taking the Mickey out of him and he’s not doing anything about it.

@@ronaldflint681 That's just the thing: Satan basically IS a god. Yes, a lesser god than God, but still a god. Everything about him makes more sense when you think of him this way. He is the Evil God, lesser than the Good God sure (because it'd be hard to sell a religion where the Evil God is stronger, anyway). The Good God allows him to do battle against him for vast cosmic reasons, and this is the explanation for natural evil. His motives are irrational and nonsensical because he is defined as the Good God's opposites, and the Good God is rational and wise. Satan apparently lacks the ability to simply smite _everything_ in a global deluge, or even just Bangladesh every year in particular.
If he's evil incarnate, then what could be *more* evil, or more cruel than tricking people into doing the very thing that apparently will force God into punishing _them_ for doing it? All the silly dopey people believe they're cementing their spot in heaven. Just making God apoplectic with rage at their actions.
From an objective standpoint, that's hilariously cruel.
If he is at all motivated to be cunning, and from what I hear that is the case, then it would be trivial for Satan to trick most. If not all the people, humans are delightfully gullible.
Although, the fact that he doesn't sort of brings forth the 'problem of happiness' argument against his existence, but that's for another day.

Help humans achieve utopia in the most secular way possible. People would be less inclined to turn to God if they didn't have so much doubt and fear. The actual reason for Satanic hiddenness: Satan had a head-smack moment, and asked himself, "What are we _doing?!_ Why try to compete with Jesus for human souls, that's ridiculous! Jesus already said that 'broad is the way that leads unto destruction and many are those who find it, but narrow is the path that leads to salvation and few are they that find it,' so he's already _admitted_ he'll lose on points. And that's nothing to do with us devils, it's how _he_ set the 'paths' up.
"So why should we stick around, play by the Book, and keep fighting a war we can't win? What if we all just take off and go surf the Orion Nebula? If I don't do the whole 'Antichrist' thing, he can't play out his Apocalypse narrative, win at Armageddon, and seize ultimate power. The humans get to keep living their lives, and he can't ever hold his Last Judgment and send them--or us--to Hell!

I think the main Christian response to the hiddenness of Satan is that he only does what God allows him to do (usually referencing Job). If he seems so hidden, it's because God requires him to be hidden. Basically they kick the question back to God's divine hiddeness.
For me, the biggest problem with Christian's view of Satan is how subtle he can be. You covered this very well in the Tangled Theology video. Basically there's no limit to how much our heart can deceive us. There's no limit to how insidious the devil can be in deceiving us. There's no limit to how deceived we can be in interpreting the Bible (ala Pharisees) . And in some cases, God himself can deceive us in order to fulfill a greater plan. The way Christians tell you to combat each one is to overly rely on the others. It really seems unworkable to me.

Is he recruiting only the most loyal, faithful, and worthy into Heaven; is that so God can rebuild his army? (Half of God's cosmic army was lost in the Angel war in Heaven when God cast Satan and his followers into Sheol.) Does this mean the "false gods" mentioned in the Bible are actually a threat to God? Is that what Lucifer did to his fellow Angel followers to make them rebel against God in Heaven? Did they realize something they were doing was "Evil" the way religious people sometimes do before becoming atheists?

This is one of my favorite subjects in theological discussions! I love to ask believers how they know if they are receiving a message from a godly source or demonic. They don't have any good answers, they have answers just never good ones and typically super shallow.
The most common I hear is some version of "If leads to something good, then its from god!", which obviously if I were a demon hiding as an angel, then I would just lead to something good so I can lead to evil later. Like, its painfully obvious how little thought it takes on that answer.
Also, if satan were real and does do all the things that he supposedly does, then we should be seeing tons of people being prolific devil worshippers who have enormous power. Instead, we get the opposite.
In the end, there is no actual way (that I have ever been presented) to determine the sender of a divine message. For angel/demon, god/satan, or even just god/odin.

Maybe it’s because I was only presented with a certain type of Atheists through Christian programming idk. but recently I’ve encountered so many great atheist channels that have made excellent rational arguments not out of hostility or emotions but just on a quest for truth. Interestingly enough the channels I really like tend to have in common the fact that they all come from a strong Christian background and are highly knowledgeable about what’s in the text, the Christian doctrine and the tactics the churches use to cover up inconsistencies. Bart Erhman was the first atheist I ever listened to and felt like he really made a strong case against the NT and I was pleasantly surprised by how likeable he seemed. This was something I had not given much thought to, but you opened a whole new door about the twists and turns we will go thru to hold on to our social set. Church is all important, groups, social net works, our church family, etc. We can say, I don't worry about hell, Jesus is love, Jesus would not do that etc. Or, say, I don't worry about hell, I'm saved.
What Jesus says, commands in the bible gets dismissed, if it doesn't fit our life style and we latch onto what does. All for the love of community, and I understand how DNA central that is, we are social beings. And church is ready made for that. Good vid and mind blowing thoughts.

God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He knows the past and he knows the future. Why would he let a creature like Satan exist in the first place? A being that would work against his teachings and that would try to turn people against him? And even if he did do it and later realized (not all-knowing) that he had messed up, why didn't he snap his fingers in order to make Satan disappear?

Yeah, this is something I've struggled with for years. Especially growing up as an Adventist. My whole life, I've understood the concept of faith, but the demonic and Satan encounters never made sense. I grew up with pastors saying they've been in houses with the devil. My own father said an entity picked him up the stairs. But as time moved on I realized that all of them were lying for dramatic effect or mixing up dreams.
We've come to a point in society that we recognized that a lot of lying occurred, and especially with having cameras with 24/7 surveillance. Most of the myths have been debunked, most of the sightings were explained, and the goal post has to be moved more.

Love ya Brandon my brother in TRUTH and thank you so much for all your hard work and time you put in to these videos... it's greatly appreciated 🌹...I send them to my Christian family members hoping they'll wake up and snap out of their comatose frame of mind and their cognitive dissonance.
Even as an Atheist I STILL attend church every Sunday...I attend The Church Of The Holy Mattress🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh yeah as a Christian I had demons and Satan attacking, they were under every rock, around every corner, and flying around everywhere, beware of Satan! Well there aren't any demons attacking and flying around me any more as an Atheist and I no longer have fear in my life... it's so ironic. In my daily life I never have to dwell on thoughts about Satan and demons...I don't think about any of that garbage at all and it's never on my mind. It's so AWESOME to be TRULY FREE from all that slavery and bondage... Christian's are slaves to both an imaginary Jesus and Satan and it's really sad...I feel sorry for them. They give glory to Satan and God at the same time in their minds constantly. It's so ironic how Satanists DON'T believe in Satan and DON'T worship him because they know he doesn't exist but yet Christian's are all wrapped up with Satan and demons... it's no way to live life at all.

a poison and a mental illness. It's sad and pathetic. Christianity evolved and came from ancient mythological cults. It's a human sacrifice blood magic death cult. The Christian god Yahweh is an evil tyrannical, sadomasochistic, psychopathic, maniacal, genocidal, infanticidal, slaughtering, torturing, mass murderer lunatic who endorses, condones, slavery, and authorized rape, child brides, sex trafficking, torture, the slaughter of innocent people including children and infants, he was the first abortionist who had pregnant women's wombs sliced open with swords and having their unborn ripped out of their wombs, he was racist, a thief, a homophobic insidious, deceptive, lying, psycho and even broke his own commandments over and over again. Christian's don't know any of this because they don't know the Bible.
They don't read the Bible and don't research and study anything about it because they're lazy. We X-Christian Atheists KNOW the Bible inside out, cover to cover and have done thousands of hours of extensive and intense research on it. It was the Bible itself that turned us into Atheists because it's the most evil immoral book ever written and is most definitely not the word of god. Christianity is the biggest hoax and scam ever perpetrated on humanity...the Bible itself is nothing but propaganda, mysticism, witchcraft, sorcery, magic, astrology, gamatrial codes, it's all mythology, legend, folklore and nothing more...do the research.
Do the research and know your bible inside out, then you'll find that everything I'm saying here is pure honest TRUTH.

In a game theory type sense: if my opponent hides themself but wants to be believed in, knowledge of me and my opposition acts as proof positive that they exist. If God is hidden, Satan's move to make sure people don't believe should be not acting in physically discernable ways. If you don't see God or Satan, it's reasonable to assume neither exists. If you see one then it follows that it should be just as reasonable to believe the other exists.

I just had a thought what could be another interesting topic for you to respond to. Its just a thought that came up, so if its nonses just ignore. There are some UA-cam Channels out there showing all sorts of supposed supernatural stuff. Much of that, of course, is nonsense, and some of it certainly are fakes... But I think that mayby this topic of supernatural experiences that are not just happening at night to one person could be interesting to explore and learn more about..
For example there is a channell called "Slapped Ham" that shares all sort of stuff..
    '
When I was about 12 years old I had a somewhat odd experience with another friend of mine.. We were just playing hide and seek in a dark room and for some reason he stopped playing and just stood around. So I asked him whats the matter, and he responded that he saw some darkk figures on the other side of the room.. Apparently he used to have such kind of experiences... I thought he was just making this up, but asked how excactly they looked like, and the way he described them they did the excact same thing as I did, just on the other side of the room... So I made an experiment and did things behind his back that he couldnt see, and he went inside the room and could tell me what I did behind his back, or him even not being there at all...
I have no idea what that was or how to explain it, but think that several things are possible, also a more founed view that simply shows how our brains may be capable of more than we may think.. I think Freud explained that such things simply were expressions of our subconsious mind... Mayby thats one of the things we benefit from once we understand the laws behind it.
Anyways, just a thought if you ever run out of ideas.. It seems many people experience things togther that are difficult to explain, also when it comes to UFOS and stuff like that, and I am very open to there being good explanations to it... just didnt find them all yet :)

I'm agnostic. I used to be Christian. I left not because of the Hell thing, but because of the hiddenness problem (when I needed him the most, he wasn't there). With that said, as a native Greek speaker, I can confirm the Hell of the NT is not eternal torture. It "appears" to be annihilation. There's some ambiguity to interpretation of some of the words. But we know what it is not: eternal torment of any sort (definitely not physical. You can make a case that there's mental anguish which is self inflicted, which I guess you can argue is still from God, but I'm not sure the words lend themselves to that interpretation either).
For me, it's just being honest about what the book says. If people become agnostic, or atheist, I would rather they do it for legit reasons, rather than fear in a torture that was never said there anyway.
