I use Android Auto on my phone paired to my cars bluetooth (grom unit) because i don't have an AA head unit , i can just use Google assistant hands free to operate my smarthome, porch lights and garage already ,but i have never seen anyone show if Google assistant works totally hands free without pressing anything with an Android Auto head unit and phone paired to it wired or wirelessly ,i was thinking of getting an android head unit with wireless android auto for my BMW or using head unit reloaded app on a tablet but right now i can use assistant without touching anything not sure if it would work on a headunit though
I have no problems controling my garage door ! Thanks to a sonoff wifi relay and an extra remote control pcb board that it activates ! And the native myQ app still warns me if door was left open !
What security system are you using? I want to install a security system, but not sure if I should go for something like adt with smart things or just get a regular security system.
How do I get my Android Auto Smart Switch app and my phone Smart Switch app to sync. My phone shows my gate and garages all ready to rock and roll... however the Android Auto Smart Switch app shows them as offline (gray)... confused...
Loving it! This is our first time every buying a new car and it is crazy how many little things the van has. I plan to make a video on all the cool tech stuff. Previously we were pretty excited just to have heated seats.
What are your thoughts on SmartThings now that Samsung has pulled out of hardware? I love the software side of it and integrations, but I am concerned with hardware being dumped off. I like the customisation in the Samsung integration, but the voice control is already mostly available in Google Home/Alexa.
Great content, very helpful as always! Could this function work to control, say smart lights (like color changing strips) in a car? In a similar way a Chromecast can be set up on a Hotspot. Use case is really to setup some ambient lighting in my car and being able to control through AA as opposed to the app in the phone.
Did you ever find an answer to this. I'm thinking the same thing. Surely someone has car ambient lighting that can be controlled by Android Auto App rather than phone or crappy plastic remote?
I was disappointed that, although I could add my nest thermostat, you couldn't do anything with it in AA. I like the integration but it seems like it's mostly turning on/off lights and changing the security status from home, away, etc. Haven't messed with scenes as of yet so didn't set those up.
@@TechWithBrett after leaving this comment I went back and checked out scenes and you're right, there's definitely way more you can do with them. Thanks for the reply.
I have an unusual error The application works only when the phone is connected to Wi-Fi. And when it uses data transmission, it doesn't work. can anyone help me with the settings?
I'm pretty excited for this integration and very excited that I now have Android Auto! What else do you want to know about it?
Nice video Brett

How to connect wireless
We wanna know about "Gas and CO2 and leak sensors"
Thanks bro
Will this also work with Android Auto on the mobile?
Great video! I'm so glad that Samsung and Google are starting to work together more often.
Great job again, Brett !

Hey,
How can I change my country/region in my Samsung account?
How do you like the Honda Van? I've had 2 and loved them, but I don't have a new one with all of the bells and whisles.

As long as the software can continue to improve than I am fine about it. I think I will miss them producing sensor so I am glad I stocked up.
@@TechWithBrett I think Aeotec took over the hub, but they are heavily Z-Wave oriented. I haven't seen them taking over the sensors.

Nice info and cool.👍
Make a video how samsung dex work I only use Android auto for GPS for training samsung dex
How do u get your devices into the android auto ? it does not show anything
This is perfect for me, I usually have to use my voice when I get home
There is no "Android Auto" entry in my settings menu
It looks like it moved to Connected Car. Can you search for that in settings?

Scenes are where it will really shine. You could change every device in your house at once with one scene. Definitely give it a try.

Very impressive...
Android auto is not even working with galsxy s21plus. A huge gap when you switch from apple to Android.
Awesome!!

I'm wondering if one of these settings would fix it. support.google.com/androidauto/answer/9515316?hl=en
@@TechWithBrett Unfortunately, this solution did not help, I wonder if only I have such a problem?
@@TechWithBrett I solved the problem, Smartthings does not support IPv6. I had to add a new IPv4 access point to my phone. Greetings.
First!
I liked it twice
Ball on window
Bangers
I have so many Google devices
Wait a sec! I thought you had a Honda Pilot!
Well I do, but it has been replaced!
@@TechWithBrett Well congratulations on the new vehicle!

How does this guy not have a Tesla?
While I do want one, a Tesla is not a necessity at this moment in time. Maybe one day in the future.
@@TechWithBrett what model do you want? Just out of curiosity
