My 2nd wallet! Skin work.

Hello everyone! I want to share with you how I made my second wallet. I sewed from chrome-tanned leather (Crasy horse), without knowing it myself. I made it from purchased scraps, since they are cheaper, and it’s a pity to spoil good skin. Chose more or less acceptable pieces.
In the process of its creation, I noticed many shortcomings, blunders and mistakes, which I will try not to repeat in the future. The first is that when impregnated with wax, I made the skin too hard, so the wallet turned out to be not so pliable in the end. The second is that when scraping pockets for cards, I left them, after all, thick. Yes, and the leather was not as sharp as it should be. Thirdly, a mixture of wax and oil is suitable only for impregnation, but not for polishing the edges of the skin. But, given that sunflower oil polymerizes (creates a thin film on the surface) after some time, castor or bone oil is better suited for this. The fourth is that on chrome-tanned leather it may not be worth polishing the edges in principle, it is too expensive and not so easy. Fifth - I made the pockets for the cards small, so that the cards go in quite tightly, but do not fall out😁. And a lot of small jambs, but in general, in my opinion, it turned out more or less.
