Thanks very much, that’s lovely of you to say, I think it’s the least people should do really and if we all do hopefully they will keep things like this going, it still blows our minds that they supply the cabin and all the wood for free, just brilliant 😁💙
Well, you two are completely bonkers but love it. Learn so much from you and it really is such a joy to open up your latest vlog and see what you’ve been up too and where you are. Some of those drone shots are quite breathtaking….thank you so much for all the effort you put into your channel. Glad you both ‘escaped’ the sledging unscathed. Continue to take care dear folks.
I've watched and loved watching you guys since the start of the Sainsbury's van vids, this is 1st video watched with my 9month old and he is mesmerised with you lol
Brilliantly put together..have to say though don’t think I’ve ever seen snow on a tree that thick … and people just getting on with it … we on the other hand come to a stop ….😂…amazing… stay safe ..❤

Honestly, the cinematography and production on this channel is through the roof, amazing videos, and all set in the most beautiful part of the world. Absolutely made my night watching this, fantastic guys!
Love your channel and enjoy each vlog. Just to let you know there are free bothies all over the Scottish Highlands for hill walkers. Check one out the next time you come back to visit us.
I fall off in a straight line on dry pavement 😂😂 Jon is great on a bike and would probably be fine but me plus a bike plus ice would = hospital I think 😂
You are really selling this trip. There I was thinking as you back up next to the van, you find one van and had to park next to it. Then to find out it was because of epic sledging shenanigan's. The Intro to Alex's Sledging Prowess was brilliant and then on the sloop he did not disappoint, as at one you just saw a snow cloud and Alex was within due to kicking up a ton of snow with his feet. The Sledging run looked brilliant and I can see why you both really enjoyed it. You don't need kids to enjoy things, trust me they can be a real pain in the arse, I have two Girls and they can be right Fun Police. With Cries of Stop it Dad your embarrassing me. Being able to sleep on hard surfaces for me is long gone, body knackered with Arthritis from Jaw to Toes stops me from even sitting on the floor. Hard Plastic chairs are enough to make me seize up. It is definitely something you can do when your younger. like sliding down the stars on your arse and not really feeling a thing, but aging doesn't stop you it just makes you think twice about it before doing it. I finally got our Motorhome back this week, and it had left a £6k dent in the wallet. I is really nice to be able to have her back at home and useable, which we haven't been able to do since she broke down in September. Brand new Gearbox and all the Sprint Shift mechanisms and oil tank as some idiot in the past put Break Fluid in there. Strangely we haven't even talked about our first trip away in her. I wouldn't want to try your trip in her as she is no spring chicken at 22 years old. Looking forward to next weeks epic adventure.
Thanks so much mate. It was an absolute blast! I think this has been our favourite experience from this trip. We love Jess and Alex so was fun to make a video with them. We will take your advice on doing the uncomfy things while we are still young..ish! So great to hear you’ve got the van back. Sorry to hear the price tag was so brutal but hope you guys can get out for some great adventures soon!
OMG - you guys are livin the dream - that is just stunning - and not without its challenges but thank you for bringing us the beauty of such an untouched, natural and beautiful place
@@truebluetravellers Can't wait to see next week's - you guys are really amazing - hope you are cozy and safe whereever you are! (Middle aged English lady living on the fringes of London that's been a few places and loves to travel)
Another super snow show. Bet you will go on some more toboggan runs before the snow runs out. I wondered what was on at the end of your pole Jon. I bought the DJI Osmo Action and I am really pleased with it. Came with an external mike and a full set of filters and mounts. Looking forward to next weeks epic episode.
That downhill sledge footage was incredible. There was me thinking Jess was gonna be at the back of the pack ... Look at that girl go! Jonno, you didn't mention the handy dandy voice command feature of that GoPro . Possible the most used feature for me. GoPro, Start Recording.
Hi guys i`m gutted no more walnut whip content this week lmao, you pair was brave in that cabin in the woods could of made a great horror movie, looking forward to next week ,as ever stay safe
love it, yes, cabins and wooden floors are somewhat uncomfortable unless you have stocked up suitably on alcohol. As a bothy user in Scotland, an inflatable mattress is a must if you want sleep. Bothying is very similar to those cabins, a real joy and often share them with really interesting people. Another brilliant blog and thanks you for no snow angels this time.
Another great vid. But the reason that snow sticks to trees and leaves/branches etc. is mostly temperature. When temperature lowers a little, like the sun shine's on it. The outer layer will get a little wet & sticky enough for more snow to stick to it or it will re freeze again when night time comes. Adding more layers bit by bit making the branches thicker and heaver. In Sweden we still use bikes everyday also (studded tyres). My wife goes to her work on one and our post comes via a moped rider. Please note that when your in Finland & Sweden and are in the woods close to the wildlife. It's hunting season on different animals just now (different hunting dates for different wildlife) and wearing hi vis colours if you are in a hunting area may just help John not get mistaken for a wild animal. But then again??
Awesome scenery, professional film quality, and Jon getting forcefully educated via the editing 😆. Amazing toboggan skills. And 10/10 for LumberJess. Axe wielding Aussie with guns of steel. 😂
Sod taking everyone's kids, I want to go with you! Big kid in a 57yr olds body. You guys were having too much fun...so jealous 🤢. Funny & informative, one of the best channels on UA-cam! May it continue to grow 😊
Masterchef, or the world ' Grotnoodle ' championships are calling! I think we should see more of Jess driving. With all those natural Rally Stages I think she'd be a natural at drifting the back end out. Only the lack of plant machinery let the video down this week.. Excellent, people's. Safe, happy travels 👍
Jess you have not missed out on the wildlife because you brought it with you ( John ) after watching your videos I have to go sit by the fire to warm up keep on trucking !
Another brilliant vlog guys, once again I'm like you Jon, in anywhere like museums I just look and walk away, my wife stands and reads all info then tells me. The blogs you do are so natural and not staged, that's what makes them so good. Again looking forward to the next one. Take care and stay safe.
I imagine it would be good and we’ve got good airflow options with the windows and roof vent but we have a defender that we built in the summer that we are planning to take to Morocco 💙
Mmmm, the cabin, great for the experience, but I would rather be van😂! Without the route markers, how easy would it be to get lost 🥴. Great episode, take care both.❤
@truebluetravellers looking forward to your next adventure. I remember doing the freezing eyelashes and nose hairs years ago skiing. Happy awesome times. I will defiantly be looking into a sledging trip like that. 👍🏽 Shame it's so mild and flat here in Norfolk. 🙄😂

What a beautiful country, the scenery is stunning. Jess you’re very brave doing that sledge run, I was hyperventilating just watching 🤦♀️😂. Thanks for taking us on your travels, the banter and the laughs. It’s a great start to the weekend for us. See you next week ❤ Xx
Can your vlogs get any better! I am staying in a Buddhist monastery without internet, so hot spotting from my phone just to watch you two and you never disappoint :) Happy travels love Jay x
We visited Saariselkä and the Sami Museum in Inari last October, but we weren't as lucky as you to find the outdoor part of the museum to be open. The photo exhibition was greath, though.
Another brilliant video! Thanks so much for creating and sharing. The snow covered landscapes that you both so beautifully film are a very enticing antidote to the 35c plus temps we’ve been experiencing down on this side of the globe.🥵
Great video guys, some amazing looking places, walking to that cabin I could feel the cold lol, love your Guy Martin hat John. Stay safe guys and keep em coming
Forgot it was saturday , switched on youtube to a new Truebluetravellers vlog 😀 then early in Jess treats us to a ‘bwink’. Not gonna lie I got secondary anxious when you were walking to the cabin and it was whiting out, momentarily thought I hope they don’t die lost in the snow 😂. Was nice to see Jon truly appreciating Jess’s sick sledging skills, go girl! 💪
If it's above freezing or the snows a bit wet when it first snows, then the snow sticks to the tree branches. Traction with a vehicle depends on weight distribution and tyres. I'd prefer front wheel drive and good tyres. You must have good tyres on your van, as usually rwd is worse for traction. Enjoy Finland 😊
Yet another great video, more work goes into these things than most people realise so good on ya! Bit of bad news, my girlfriend left me and took all of my Bob Marley records and cancelled the satellite TV. No woman no Sky! 😭
Fantastic. Stay exactly the way you are together on these shows, 'cos although it's amazing scenery and crazy fun stuff, it's YOU TWO that make it worth watching along. Enjoy your journey back to the longer days and warmth x (try DJI Action Cameras - they knock spots off GoPro's) 🙏🏽
Thanks very much 😁👍 Yeah I think we might give one a go to be honest when we change as I’ve seen a lot of good reviews and we love the quality of the drone so will be interesting to see the difference 😁👍
You guys are so funny. looking forward each week for a new episode. Keep up the good work. Oh and by the way what a beautiful land Finland is. Oh yes and one thing, when are you guys visiting a Finnish sauna. Love to see that 😉😂
Another great video, I like the idea of the hut in the woods, but being a wild camper I would have alwys packed a thermorest by default. Hard wood is never good to have your arse against 🙂(so I am told by the boss.). !!!!
My husband and I look forward to every video. Your easy banter, sense of humor, and your amazing videography skills make every video so much fun to watch. Thank you!
Hi! I'm from the Philippines and i love to watch your videos. It's so relaxing to watch. I'm watching it while working in the office. It's my stress reliever.
Almost a perfect video. We had a wink and the guns from Jess but no Triple T from Jonny Boy. Loving seeing the gear you use for filming. Keep up the great work guys. 👍
Just amazing, love your vlogs so much, get mega excited when I see we have a new one to watch! Definitely didn’t disappoint, so much fun, so informative, we just escape and live the journey with you guys! Had an awful week this week and had all my smiles were used on your vlog. Thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏 ❤❤❤
Really good episode thank you 👍🙂 Im the same as you John rarely have more than 4 or 5 hours sleep, anymore and I don't sleep the next night. Gives me more time for searching for more tools online 😂
Hey Jon you really need to do a keep fit vlog in the snow and maybe Jess you could consider one as well for the lads 😉 hope you 2 well and having fun amazing vlog as always stay safe ❤👍
The best video to date , my wife and I watch every weekend and yes , John, you come across as a bit of a nob at times but we love the way you both interact , love tool talk Tuesday's, but this video is the best editing , sound and footage , and laughs so far , thank you both , Jess keep him in order but John , keep those smiles coming , those cheeky jokes and most of all , the fun , it fill us up with positive energy
What an amazing journey you are having, each video we watch just gets better and better and better, carry on enjoying your trip and experience of a lifetime, can’t wait for the next vlog 😊
Great vid and Jess was really styling it out on the sledging runs. You go girl smile 😃. I will also look forward to the episode on the Sammi,as Jess narrates and explains things brilliantly.
Winter diesel markings in Finland: first number -29 is 'chill point' or 'cloud point', the temperature at which diesel becomes cloudy (lowest storing temperature) and second reading -38 is lowest operating temperature, 'cold filter plugging point'. You can also buy arctic diesel -40/-40 at some Neste stations. Normally silicone is used for car rubber door seals, gas tank cap etc to prevent freezing.
Hi Jon & Jess, All I have to say is you guys are absolutely brilliant with your amazing adventures in Finland with such beautiful scenery, the cabin itself is just so magical, I would love to experience snow like this, and slide down a big steep hill using only your body as your brakes, as the closest I got was in the late 80’s, where as now we don’t get much snow anymore due to climate change, the sense of humour between both is just Great! I cannot wait to see your next video!
love it, fair play Jess #JuhaKankkunen in the corners, you go girl. loving the info and behind the scenes and my gosh an uncomfortable hut night but again the scenes are beautiful everywhere you look, dude rindeer/caribou what a majestic fella.... just like Jono LOL
The sledging looked brilliant fun, thats one the buket list. The log cabin looked like bothies in Scotland, awesome but a bit scary if someone else comes in when you are asleep 😂👍
Well, great fun was had by one and all. Be aware ! Diving into snow drifts you might have a granite boulder lurking 2 inches below the surface, a jaggy sharp pointed metal fence post or a shopping trolley. It's all ha ha ha until someone loses an eye or a boll*ck.
Yes that looks awesome & Jess that drift save was better than David seaman lol 👍 Also John we use GoPro hero black 10 yes shit in low light & I’m now going to invest in that media package looks awesome mate 👍
Brilliant again guys, should have your own travel show

Double choc mocha, hot bacon and a creme egg for Saturday breakfast, but best of all...another nutty episode from TBT. ❤
I whole heartedly approve of this breakfast!!! 10/10 excellent choice! Thanks very much 💙💙
Smash it every time you guy are an amazing couple keep em coming 👏 💪🏼 👌
Thanks mate 👍
Another brilliant video! Thanks so much for creating and sharing. The snow covered landscapes that you both so beautifully film are a very enticing antidote to the 35c plus temps we’ve been experiencing down on this side of the globe.🥵
Thanks so much. It is a magical place for sure! 💙💙
Just gets better each time. Thanks though no more nudity. I can't keep choking on my coffee when you do it
😂😂😂😂😂 I’ll have to warn u next time
Great video guys, some amazing looking places, walking to that cabin I could feel the cold lol, love your Guy Martin hat John. Stay safe guys and keep em coming
Thanks so much mate. He has 3 Guy Martin beanies 😂 most variety of clothes he owns 😂😂
😂😂 here’s another just for you 😉😘 me too! It was a bit worrisome, was very glad of the poles for sure! Thanks mate 💪😘💙
Thanks for the info mate 👍💙
Yet another great video, more work goes into these things than most people realise so good on ya! Bit of bad news, my girlfriend left me and took all of my Bob Marley records and cancelled the satellite TV. No woman no Sky! 😭
😂😂😂 💙 All can say David is don’t worry about a thing coz every little thing is gonna be alright!
Cheers guys, I hope so. I'm off to a Jamaican themed evening at my local tonight. I'm dreading it!
@@truebluetravellers 🤣
Fantastic. Stay exactly the way you are together on these shows, 'cos although it's amazing scenery and crazy fun stuff, it's YOU TWO that make it worth watching along. Enjoy your journey back to the longer days and warmth x
(try DJI Action Cameras - they knock spots off GoPro's) 🙏🏽
Thanks very much 😁👍
Yeah I think we might give one a go to be honest when we change as I’ve seen a lot of good reviews and we love the quality of the drone so will be interesting to see the difference 😁👍
Another cracking episode guys. Jon is such a tease, we were looking forward to another snow angel 😉
😂😂😂😂😂😉
Absolutely brilliant video again.well done and stay safe.
Thanks very much 💙
You guys are so funny. looking forward each week for a new episode. Keep up the good work. Oh and by the way what a beautiful land Finland is. Oh yes and one thing, when are you guys visiting a Finnish sauna. Love to see that 😉😂
Thanks so much 💙 that’s so kind. We went to one a public pool which was great but not filmable sorry. Definitely an experience!
Absolutely brilliant! The filming, the scenery, the fun. Unbelievable. I love Jon going full beans at everything haha
Thanks so much mate, really appreciate that. Not sure the snow appreciated Jons full beans approach 😂
@@truebluetravellers the snow is crying out for a reverse snow angel ;D and Jon's balls deep sledging co.
😂😂😂😂
What a great day for me to try out my new 4K monitor! Amazing guys, thank you so very much. Very enjoyable.

Finish work, home get a brew & watch TBT brilliantl..

Another great video, I like the idea of the hut in the woods, but being a wild camper I would have alwys packed a thermorest by default. Hard wood is never good to have your arse against 🙂(so I am told by the boss.). !!!!
😂😂😂😂 the boss is correct 😂👍
My husband and I look forward to every video. Your easy banter, sense of humor, and your amazing videography skills make every video so much fun to watch. Thank you!
That’s such a lovely thing to say thank you 💙💙

Almost a perfect video. We had a wink and the guns from Jess but no Triple T from Jonny Boy. Loving seeing the gear you use for filming. Keep up the great work guys. 👍
😂😂😂 need to make up for the triple t when I get home I recon, maybe have a whole video for it 😂😁

Throwing yourselves off the side of a hill on a tea tray? It's just like the Olympics! Gold medals all round! 🎉🎉🎉
😂😂😂😂 it should be in the olympics that one, the fun olympics 😂😁👍
The best video to date , my wife and I watch every weekend and yes , John, you come across as a bit of a nob at times but we love the way you both interact , love tool talk Tuesday's, but this video is the best editing , sound and footage , and laughs so far , thank you both , Jess keep him in order but John , keep those smiles coming , those cheeky jokes and most of all , the fun , it fill us up with positive energy

@@truebluetravellers looks very magical indeed
Great times. That cabin looked amazing.
Thanks Rick 😁👍👍

Thanks very much for the info, love to find out exactly what’s what 😊👍
Hi Jon & Jess, All I have to say is you guys are absolutely brilliant with your amazing adventures in Finland with such beautiful scenery, the cabin itself is just so magical, I would love to experience snow like this, and slide down a big steep hill using only your body as your brakes, as the closest I got was in the late 80’s, where as now we don’t get much snow anymore due to climate change, the sense of humour between both is just Great!
I cannot wait to see your next video!
Thanks mate, such a shame we don’t get snow like this at home hey, its such good fun, 😁
Nice to see there wasn’t a repeat of last weeks frozen tool time. Safe travels back home
😂😂😂😂😂😂 thanks guys 😁
Absolutely brilliant, you 2 are made for each other. john, you ppl watch, and it's brilliant to see thank you both for making me laugh 😂😂
That’s lovely of you to say thanks you. So nice to hear it makes you laugh 💙
love it, fair play Jess #JuhaKankkunen in the corners, you go girl.
loving the info and behind the scenes and my gosh an uncomfortable hut night but again the scenes are beautiful everywhere you look, dude rindeer/caribou what a majestic fella.... just like Jono LOL
😂😂😂 yep just like me 😎😂👍, was mighty impressed with the old girl sledding 💪💪👌
Thanks for another great video. I think I'd like Finland in the summer, it does look lovely in winter, but I don't do snow 😂
It would be amazing to see in the summer! There’s 188,000 lakes in Finland so would be so amazing to drive around with all the scenery!
The sledging looked brilliant fun, thats one the buket list. The log cabin looked like bothies in Scotland, awesome but a bit scary if someone else comes in when you are asleep 😂👍
It was a blast!! Would be strange to wake up and find you were sharing with someone!
😂😂😂 thanks mate. Imagine going to A&E and trying to explain that one
Once again....
