Here's how we installed one on a travel trailer.
(This is the one we used amzn.to/3PfLMcQ (Amazaon Affiliate Link))
To regulate the propane pressure, your RV has a two-stage propane regulator. This is a component that fits between the tank to the rest of the system, and it takes the fuel coming out of the tank at a high pressure (or PSI) and brings it down to a manageable flow. The first stage lowers the pressure to around 10 to 15 psi from its much higher number, sometimes 250 or more. Then, the second stage takes it down to around 11 water column inches, which is the right flow for your RV’s appliances.
(Also for clarification, since this is a stationary unit, we put the regulator at the front of the cylinders, per the customer’s request. This is not the standard. If the customer moves this camper, we would have to move it to the proper position at the back of the tanks.)
As always, if you don't feel comfortable handling propane lines, PLEASE call a professional!

Great Job. I defiantly like the sealant instead of the tape. Thanks Don

My regulator is turned facing the trailer, too. Why is that? Can’t see the little window without using my phone or a mirror.

It’s just the way they installed it. You can really tell that most manufacturers don’t live in RVs, the way they build these things.
