Um yeah. NO way could that movie be made now.
I've never even heard of this movie.
Don’t EVEN look into 80’s Hard Rock lyrics! BLUE MURDER, an excellent Hard Rock band with an English frontman actually has a song called Sex Child. I met the keyboardist in the 80’s and asked him what’s the deal with the lyrics? He told me to just listen to the music. He was right.
It’s flat out Badass. Classic Hard Rock.
Wow. I loved that movie as a teen. I mean, it didn’t stand out like John Hughes movies, but I loved it. I completely forgot about it. Um yeah, very messed up. Although, when you really look at John Hughes movies, those couldn’t be made today either. Even though they dealt with a lot of teen issues at the time. I mean, 16 candles. Great movie by my time standards but the whole Farmer Ted and Jake’s girlfriend situation….kinda creepy. Breakfast club when he looks up her skirt and they all hide it, including her. So, yeah. Even those movies have their issues. EDIT: OMG WEIRD SCIENCE. Computer generated grown a$$ woman with teen boys. Even though there’s no real smecksy scenes it’s implied through the whole movie. Revenge of the Nerds is another one. Hides his identity to have play time with the popular girl. Spies on girls in the shower. Lots of that kind of stuff.
Trading Places wouldn't hold up in this woke day and age. Great movie, but the lefty salty river of tears would drown it in no time.
