@@Nostradamus1209 I got it a month ago and its amazing. 100% recommend. There are still a few software issues but they rarely show up and can easily be fixed by turning the phone off and on again. Definitely worth the money.

I'm a fan of your style of video lots of good solid consumer advice with facts and balanced opinion ...in the past I have always gone for flagship mostly Samsung note series of phones, but I can't justify the price to value anymore ...I bought the redmi note 9s 3 weeks ago on launch and I can agree with everything you said ...it's all true redmi are killing the value for money and specs you can get for the price ..this phone is amazing I find the hardware absolutely fine for my light to moderate use the software took abit of getting used to but I I find it works for me well after adjusting to it all in all it's a fantastic phone for the money and I can't recommend it enough

I agree, bought one recently to try it out and I have not been disappointed so far. Battery life has been going for 2 days easy between charges. Fast and snappy but camera isn't the best (good enough for the price though)

I`ve spent years trying to find a phone that simply does what all phones should do and until a few weeks ago have failed!
Iv`e recieved the Redmi Note 9s today and i`m absolutly gob smacked as camera`s are very good, battery seems great, the speed is very quick indeed with no lag at all, speakers are good, screen is good, easy to use with lots of usefull apps, signal and call quality seems good so i ask myself WHY HAS NO OTHER COMPANY PRODUCED A PHONE LIKE THIS EVEN AT £700 (saying no names oneplus or samsung or motorola lol....ahem).
If this Note 9s proves to be as good for the next week or so then it`s a win win for Xiaomi and you should be advertising this brand on TV.
I`ve even tried the oneplus 7t and that failed with signal issues and rubbish battery life so again well done Xiaomi.
UPDATE... almost a month now and still I'm using this Redmi Note 9s as it's simply superb and worth every penny. (Anyone looking for a great phone then buy this)

another great review linus,only issue i am having regarding purchase is that it refuses the code if you try and purchase the higher spec version from france,not sure why will there be a code for the higher spec version and also can you intergrate the SD card storage together with the internal storage to make 1 single storage partition...?

I have a question, since I bought mine redmi note 9s, I'm experiencing a problem while charging.
The problem is that the screen is on all the time, showing something like always on displays feature, which is a real problem for a phone with IPS display. I wrote to Xiaomi's support but nothing.
Will be glad if you can help me :)
I read one on these before. I guess it in the settings on display. I dont exactly know where but try to find something like screen turns on upon recieving notification. I hope this helps sorry for bad english

Hey guys. I've just got this phone (my first Xiaomi phone) a few days ago. But I have a problem with RAM Management. When I open for example the UA-cam app, it also opens Instagram in the background without me opening the instagram app. Stopping the process is in vain, because everytime I open an app, another one opens by itself in the background and this slows down my phone. What can I do to fix this? Btw I'm using the global 6 gb ram version of the phone.
The camera 📷 is the best I have seen in all Redmi series.

I`ll make this review simple in saying....
This phone for around £220 is the best value for money phone you can buy 100%
I`ve been looking for a phone that simply has good reception both networks and wifi, good loud clear hands free speaker, superb hands free calling, great cameras, decent enough screen ( not quad HD or any 4-8k stuff but just does the job), an amazing 2 day battery life with heavy use yes 2 DAYS! or a full day if you watched films all day honestly the battery is unbelievable, superfast fingerprint scanner and face recognition and to top all that off it`s fast yes fast so no lag having 6gb ram and a very good processor.
Been using this phone for around 3 months now so anyone looking for a great phone who`s on a budget then definitely try this one as i`ve tried mid range Samsung, high end Motorola, Sony even iPhone and none of them can get close to the Redmi note 9 S.

This phone's biggest problem is Stock Camera App...
When i install Google Camera it was amazingly better than Stock Camera App.
20h SOT??? Mine is getting 10-12 SOT, using only social media, in 3 days. It has so many bugs, and an awful battery drain overnight (10-12%). Scrolling through feeds sometimes gives a sluggish and laggy experience. The weird thing is, the gaming experience is the best, with no lags or frame drops. Hope that the MIUI 12 would come sooner. Solid phone!
Good value, but for US market I believe Umidigi has more bands and equal value. Cheers
To be honest with you I wouldn't buy Umidigi phones over Xioami, Umidigi phones sound great on paper but the cameras are really poor, there is no image stabilization with videos and they never update the OS, and they never send out security patchs.
To there credit you do get updates to fix bugs. They are good for 1 year and that's about it. It's okay if your not banking on it I guess.
With Xiaomi you get all of this plus more.
My old Xiaomi Mi 9T was updated to the latest Android 10 and MIUI 12and has the latest security patch.
my Umidigi F1 has never been updated at all.
Buy Umidigi at your own risk.
Better to save a little more and get Xiaomi.

Hi, is there really no option to arrange the apps drawer in alphabetical order for Redmi Note 9s? Mine is Global version. My friend is using the same but her phone has option to arrange from the settings. I'm confused why we have different settings though we're using the same Global version of Redmi Note 9s.

6gb Ram obviously performs a lot better than 4gb Ram in overall aspects. 128gb Rom or Internal Storage can store more files, apps and everything in your phone, two times more than 64gb Rom.

Brought this phone weeks ago... And wow for 229 this a steal... Keyword here... 229... Please spend the extra 29 dollars for the 128gb and 6 gigs of ram... Every issue I have ever heard from this phone come for people not paying the extra 10% for double the memory

I ordered the phone and I was scared seeing some bad reviews about d phone but when I finally got it, believe me the phone is everything you need, I love this phone, enjoy every bit of it, loud speaker with bass, everything is interesting, good camera, very cheap and worth more than the price

You forget the alternative for that fone
After using for one week my cons of this phone.
1) The audio volume level when u connect a Bluetooth headset (third party) is to low
2) Chrome hangs sometimes.
3) After playing PUBG or viewing something in landscape mode. Then u go and check out Insta stories. They will be in zoomed in. U can't see whole picture. Only faced once this issue. Same for the Google recommend news page.
I didn't like it to be honest. Bought a month ago and it's too bulky while gaming, MiUi is very sloppy and fingerprint placement is off
I'll sell it and might go for the Realme 6 or any other device

Then:
- no mention about 4.5+ absence (note 9s does not aggregate 4g in order to get the 4.5+). We're in 2020.
- no mention about wi-fi going to sleep while active during standby (common problem)
- no mention about the proximity sensor problem
- no mention about how the fingerprint scanner is slow (because yes, it is, realme 6's one is much better comopared to this)
- no mention of slow charge of the battery (18w quick charge for 5020mAh, meh)
- No NFC
- Display sucks and has very low brightness levels, you get almost blind trying to see something on the screen when under sunlight
You got a new subscriber, I appreciate the video, but I'd try being more neutral. Imho you're speaking too well about a product that does not deserve this recognition. Redmi note 8 pro is still far better value even with a mediatek chip.
The WiFi problem has been fixed with the 11.08 update as of last week. I think sunlight legibility is acceptable at max brightness as well, and so far no problems with the proximity sensor

If you do own one of these great phones (as I do) I would strongly recommend downloading the G.Cam application for it.It does wonders to the overall camera experience and delivers some unbelievable photographs.👍👌✌️😊.

I have 9s I honestly don't notice any screen bleed at all except a tiny tiny bit by the camera on the screen but after a week I don't even notice it any more plus Battery life Is incredible I get about 14-15 hours sot

I think you may have gotten a defective phone cause my 9s has none of those issues and I get 15 hours sot with battery saver, half brightness. Maybe a lil screen bleed from the camera on screen but that's about it

For 3 years now I have gotten rid of my wallet.
Since there is an app for my license and NFC for banking there has been no need for it.
I couldn't live without NFC now a days.
