How does it compare with the Galaxy A51/A71 cameras?
If Redmi adds NFC, fixes the audio, adds image stabilization on the front camera and allows for 4K/60 stabilized video on both the front and back camera, then the Redmi Note will become a very good phone. Maybe they'll do this for the Redmi Note 10 series, who knows.
For someone like me who has two "real" cameras, the premium for a high-end phone partly due to better camera is just not worth it, it just has to be "good enough" when I don't have a camera with me. This one is perfect in that regard. Personally, I'd be more interested to pay 50$ more for an Oled screen. I think the SOC is perfect for the price

Best example of using the macro lens! A lot of the other phone videos I've seen just call it useless and breeze right over it. Thanks for actually showing it off. Now I got a better understanding of its usefulness.
They'll be impressed when it appears on Samsung and Apple flagships :) That being said it would actually be cool if Apple did it seeing as you can probably zoom in and out so smoothly in video with all the cameras ;p

Samsung phones have been grossly overpriced for the past couple of years
They are the 'Apple' of Android now in terms of price. Xiaomi is the best bang for buck.

the awesome thing with the camera of 'budget smartphones' nowadays is that, you just use GCAM on them and see world difference on how amazing photos they take

Did you try 9s video at 1080 with image stabilization or only 4K? My understanding is that it only works in 1080. Have mine on order and can't wait to try it as I have 2 Xiaomi phones and love them

I've been using a note 9s 6gb/128gb...what a beast!!! Super fast, great pics!!! Call of Duty and Fornite runs like a charm. I paid $250. The battery is 10/10. Recommended.

Those bugs you mentioned worry me a little bit. I hope the update fixed them so far.
What's also worrying: Wifi! Some user complain about the connection or to be more precise, the stability of the connection.

I think that bug is present in every MIUI 11 Xiaomi devices, I encountered it a lot of times in my RedmiNote7 (maybe 5 times in its 8 months of existence) and there is one time I had to bring my unit to a technician to reflash my OS because I can't open my screen even if its still working fine underneath. So far I am still positive for the brand for what it is worth, premium build quality and superb hardware.
There will be a gcam port for the 9s soon and it will surely unlock its potential, thanks for the review!
@@spanishsausage4731 Maybe it is. I use the Mi Mix 3 and I can't tell that my device has any bugs at all. Wifi, fingerprint sensor...everything works as fine as it was before the latest update.
I just hope the Wifi and fingerprint bugs are truly fixed.

Google camera just improves HDR a bit, nothing more. It doesnt transform an average camera (like the redmi's one) into a top camera or anything like that

How would a super budget like the redmi 9s compare to a flagship from a few generations ago? I am still rocking an S8, but the camera feels a bit dated. Apart from the extra lenses, would you say the Redmi has a better camera system than an S8?

Awwww you really had to put the mud throw on the Redmi on the end with the "glitch". All my Samsung phones had terrible bugs and errors so they are not an exception.

What is the speed difference? Sometimes the internet speed is same. You can test with Ookla speed test.
