- When J.P. Cormier and Tim Edey took to the stage at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre during Celtic Colours International Festival in 2019, nobody could have expected what was about to happen-possibly not even J.P. and Tim themselves. Sitting side by side, kind of facing each other with their guitars, they started picking and strumming at a tune, sort of taking turns at who was leading and who was following as they shifted into another tune, and then another, and then another after that, playfully mixing and matching trad tunes with jazz standards and the occasional folk song or movie theme thrown in, for the next 45 minutes! This six-and-a-half minute excerpt captures some of the magic of this “mighty medley”.
A Mighty Medley: Little Judique Jig (aka Buddy in Big Pond Jig) / Tea Gardens Jig (Angus Chisholm) / Combined Effort Jig (Jerry Holland and Paul Cranford) / Garçon Volage Jig / Poppy Leaf Reel
There is absolutely no one like Tim Edey and no one like JP Cormier. Phenomenal together.

Is there any chance this entire concert will ever be re-released? It is the most incredible 45 minutes of guitar playing I have ever heard in my life.
Hi Karen, at this point we only have this particular set from that concert available. However, if you're a fan of guitar be sure to tune in Thursday, October 14th, 2021 for our live streamed Guitar Summit show! You can learn more about on our site celtic-colours.com :)
Beautiful 👑✨✨✨✨⚜️
Great stuff as usual! Does anyone know what guitar JP is playing on this one?
A Boucher Heritage Goose 12 fret I believe.
What's the second tune called?
I'm as giddy as a kid, waiting for 7:30.
