I'm been playing guitar since 1963. Played professionally, been a songwriter and performer but I have to tell ya you are like another universe from my playing. That Gordon Lightfoot song you guys did brought a tear to my eyes remembering his influences on me growing up. You guys are unreal superb. Keep it going.
Feb 12/22 I lost my wife of 48yrs I thought I had come a long with my grief since then then I heard you play and sing Gordon Lightfoot and the tears flowed again. Thanks guys
That was just amazing … JP you always on fire when you play but I must say that Brian Doyle is a wizard … you guys sound great together and you should do something together because the chemistry is all there …. Simply mind blowing !
Don here again JP,that tune you played with B/Doyle Really brought tears to my eyes, that's the Celtic thing- just Beautiful, an then you flowed into something awesome 😢 😮 😊
19:10 Thank you for playing wonderful intricate melodies. Also appreciate that you're always in tune and make the guitar sound pleasant.. And thanks for inviting others to play with you, two guitars sound better than one, even when you play the one.
Totally Blown away…. What a match from music heaven… OMG. You two guys squeezed the best out of each other. You Guys need to get together more frequent, and let us in 😊 Regards from Denmark..
Just amazing! Thanks for sharing!Brian, a Margaree boy… who’d a thunk it from the early days of Wizard (teen days) , and JP, damn guys! Totally awesome!
Hi JP, DON 'S my name I too am a guitarist (50+) years, watching you on U/T, playing with Brian Doyle, man how I enjoyed your tunes, and l love the Celtic sounds. I first started playing with my Mum& Dad playing along with Dads accordion an Mum on the piano, 1st waltz , supper waltz, 3/ step polanase an' dance tunes etc, now just A/guitars 😊
I do I weed JP when I moved to Atlantic Canada from Ontario two years ago. Listening to the two of you was just incredible. I am now a fan of Brian Doyle. Amazing! Just amazing. I am so glad I tuned in.
OK, I'm a bit upset with J.P. I'm supposed to be getting some work done and instead I have been listening to some of the most amazing guitar playing I've EVER heard!!! 😆 Seriously, THANKS for this incredible video... I can only dream of every playing 1/10 of this level, but I do love my new Boucher (thanks for bringing them to my attention J.P.) Brian, LOVED the jig duo you guys did! Celtic music makes me happy! 👍
I was just tooling around on Saturday morning and came cross this because I subscribe to JP's Channel. This is the damist thing I have seen in a very long time. I'm passing this along to my guitar playing friends.
Glad to see you know Brian Doyle. He is a fantastic player for sure. Also glad yo mentioned Greylock. Hector the Hero for me was probably the most powerful song I've ever heard.
Amazing JP. I just finished a local gig and came home, saw this and put it on through my stereo system. I am now off to load the car with my guitars and head to a car boot sale. Or maybe not. I’ll just keep practicing. 😂😂
I'm a singer songwriter. My hands aren't working right, my head is getting foogy, and I need another 40 years to reach this level. Now that 12 bar a could play, but not as good.
Gawd damn that was entertaining lads, all that practice was worth it and it looks like you get a lot of fun too, now I must start to play reels etc. you guys can be a pain in the ass! I learned to flatpick at 75 during Covid and amaze myself, until I hear you, I’ll be a hundred till I can play half as good, but it’s fun and keeps me young. I have the money and tried a lot of guitars, but bought a Yamaha and put old man action on it. Thank you for what you do, lose some damn weight though, think of your pallbearers if nothing else!.? We need you for a long time?

Great playing boys!
Wow!
Lovely!!
You are on my list of "hidden" guitar players that inspire me too play more and get better. Thank you sir.
That beginning tune was brilliant 🤩🙌💥
I would love to know what guitar Brian’s playing!
OH YEAH! ...
Phenomenal
Really beautiful!
Thanks
Boy you two are simply amazing. I can say you guys have inspired me, either to practice more or maybe just give it up lol. No I'll practice more
@andybates it’s a Avenir fan fret.
What a treat! Perhaps, if you reunite here...bring on the electrics & cut loose a little distortion!
Too bad you don't have more views. I feel I made a difference pushing the likes from 549 to 550. Very nice, incredible playing!
I love seeing the MMM logo!
My goodness JP and Brian but you guys are good! Like, very, very, very good.
If I get a shirt like that will I be able to pick like you😂 Love it
Magical ❤😊
👌👌 unreal 😎
👏👏👏👏👏
That first tune by Brian reminded me of Gordon L.
Hey JP what kinda mics are those your using ?
Well that was eye opening.
Takes me back a long, long way.
You guys know any rap?
In California
Incredible! I mean, he’s no Brian Doyle…..
🍻
I don't know if this inspires me to try harder or just burn my guitar!
👏🏻 🥃🔥🍺
Wow! My ears thought he was playing a twelve string. He plays with force.
Fairly rare fan fret guitar in Brian's Hand ...
Can anyone provide me with the names of the Celtic tunes? Thanks.
Morphing from being inspired to learn more to improve my playing and realizing I really can't play at all.
Yay six string! 😂
Correction from spell check. I discovered JP…
I'm a singer songwriter. My hands aren't working right, my head is getting foogy, and I need another 40 years to reach this level. Now that 12 bar a could play, but not as good.
Fan'fret'tastic....
I hope Brian doesn’t mind this reference, but this reminds me of a clip I saw w JP and Tim Edey.
why on earth didnt you use the ST50 j.p (btw, very refreshing amidst the bastardized millennial and zoomer crap im more likely to be tortued with
