Wow! LIke discovering treasure! As someone who has been leaning toward Irish music for ----- a minute or two-- from across the pond, having seen the Chieftains, Altan, Solas, and Lunasa "countless times" (but not the Bothy Band or Silly Wizard---or Mike McGoldrick yet) Tim and Ross are just stellar musicians!!! thanks oxford!!! (amazingly I have had the pleasure of seeing Sharon Shannon twice in the states) I hope you all come to Denver one day!!! (ask Sharon)

If you enjoyed this there are a lots of other Scottish musicians and bands you may enjoy hearing & seeing on here at UA-cam examples are PROJECT SMOK ...RURA.....TALISK....MANRAN.......BREABACH........DAIM...SKIPINNISH....
.......THE PAUL MCKENNA BAND... BLUE ROSE CODE.....KINNARIS QUINTET ....... JULIE FOWLIS ..DUNCAN CHISHOLM
ADMIRAL FALLOW . these are just a few examples of bands mainly based in Glasgow with musicians from every part of Scotland and one or two others from beyond our shores. Any one of these will open up a whole plethora of others in the Scottish Trad scene.

" Something for Gordon" a beautiful tune I believe written by Ross for his teacher the great piper the late Gordon Duncan .
