Hi Aaron, I commented about 5 months ago on a different video you posted, and I'm sad to confess that though things got much worse before they got better, I still have some bad days. What you said in this video about how Christ being at the center is done by believing in the Word of God is one of the most healing things I think I could've heard just now.. just because of how simple it is! I have found myself falling into the secular advice concerning my mental battles lately and have almost pushed Jesus to the side, and I just want to bring Him back to the center rather than relying on myself, or humans who don't even know Him. At the end of the day, I know He is who makes me whole. Thank you for your videos that have been such a source of light in my life the past few months, may God bless your work for pointing people back to Jesus even in the face of complete darkness.

I have suffered from panic attacks, anxiety, difficulty breathing for 3 years and today I surrendered my mind and I could instantly sense that I am able to take deep breaths. Until I handed over my mind I had no rest. Its only been few minutes, but something in my spirit tells me this was the problem. God bless you.

What a blessing this teaching is. It really hit the nail on the head for me. In notice when Im having anxiety that "I" am at the centre of my focus. I am trying to handle everything and look after everything instead of trusting in God. I really liked the diagrams and how you explained it. Me and my mum watched The Gospel of John (2014 version) last night. Have you seen it? The narration is very powerful and contains strong messages similar to what you're saying like Jesus' promises to his people and the gift of eternal life through him. Also I like how you are explaining this through diagrams, it's giving me an insight about myself. My anxiety definitely stems from control issues and also bad circumstances that happened in the past. But God's ways are always better than ours so I learnt to put my trust in Him.
@@aaronkim1074 I highly recommend it because they filmed all four gospels with the same cast and crew. The ones with the actor Selva Rasalingam. We just started Luke but we didn't watch it all at once cos it's more than 3 hours long! But it's worth it :)

I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the thumbnail with the diagram I wanted to just blow this video off, but the Holy Spirit convicted me and I'm glad I listened. Even though I'm a Christian, part of me struggles to believe that the old me died because I've still been struggling with the very sins I embraced before I was saved, but I realize now that it's because I've had myself in the center rather than Christ. Therefore I gotta take God at his word and start letting him bear the brunt of my obedience. My only question is how can I have self control to not sin when Christ is the center? Obviously Christ won't force me to do anything so ultimately won't it still be up to myself to make the choice whether or not to?
Aaron, if you feel led, I think a follow up would be good as to how we keep Christ in the center. For me it began with a renewing of my mind and heart and seein god as loving, good, kind, willing to help, as opposed to a taskmaster, judge, and angry god. It's difficult to trust someone when you think they are out to get or hurt you. So, Reading scripture that confirms who god really is in our lives... a father that loves us and hears us and longs for us to come to him and put our burdens on him and listening to good preaching about the grace of god...all things that have helped me. For me it is still a process but I see that I have grown and love the lord more than I ever have not because I have to but because I know him now and I want to. Then, when you really love someone, you'll be more than willing to not do the things that you know hurts them or keeps you distant from them. But because we live in this world everyday, it's an everyday relationship and god is more than happy to spend time with us everyday that we would know him better and know that he is more than able to provide all we need. Stay encouraged, and thank you again Aaron.
Hi Ayo, great to hear from you my friend. I’m glad to hear you are still looking to Jesus for help. He is indeed the answer. I believe the answer to break an addiction is: “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” - Galatians 5:16 So, if you walk by the Spirit, you will not give in to addiction. Walking by the Spirit means to yield to the Lord, to let Him influence you, to make Him your life source, and give Him full control over you. This is the Christ life I discussed in the video; Christ as your life. So, when temptation comes, don’t try and face it by your own strength but yield the situation over to God and lean on Him to deliver you. You must completely trust in the Lord to deliver you. You mentioned you struggle to believe the old you died with Jesus, that is understandable. The good news is, whether you struggle to believe or not, your old man did indeed die because the Scriptures say so. So, you can start by declaring this truth, and asking God to help you appropriate this truth in your mind and heart. With your old man dead, you are no longer under the power of sin and no longer have to sin. You now have the option to follow Christ by walking in the Spirit. There is a lot at stake in this battle in which the enemy will not easily forfeit, so keep up the good fight. If you fail, do not despair, but keep going to the Lord for your deliverance. This addiction must stop in order for you to walk with the Lord unhindered and for you to bear fruit. You are doing a great job. Be encouraged, keep up the good fight, and do not give up. Where can i get those diagrams, man this is SO helpfull to me for surrender complete to Jesus, now i understand what is taking up your cross everyday, so in order to be born again i need to surrender completely my perception of my Self to Christ, so He lives in me and I no more have control, instead I obey His will. Did you said your prayer and waited in stillness in your body and mind trying to not think? And what about now that you have a deep relationship in your way as a disciple? In other words IS waiting on the Lord to sit without moving and thinking anything, paying attention with (or without) your closed eyes and patiently wating on seeing or heering anything? Please clarify me that, or well, at least in your experience. Also, when you were beggining your path with Christ did He (if i can know) asked you to barely speak or to only said what He comands or allow you to say? I'm a bit confuseed about that

I don't think there is such a thing as a carnal christian. It's either you are Christian or not. There is no in between.
