But you cannot consume calorie because it is a unit of energy. You can only consume carbohydrates that turn into glycogen, excess of it will turn to fat through de novo lipogenesis, and you can consume fats and protein that turn into ketones and for building muscles respectively.

I used to buy Life Extension, but I noticed a change in the quality of their products some years ago. So I don’t buy from them anymore. I used to love Jarrow, and I got good results from their products. But a few years ago, I noticed a change in them also. I found out that the company had been sold, and the longstanding, trustworthy family was no longer the owner. It’s such a shame when good companies get sold, and then the quality declines. I just saw a report on Berberine. They analyzed the ingredients in a bunch of supplements, and NOW had one of the 5 best results because they had more of the ingredient in their product than the claim. Whitaker supplements was also was on the list. I wish I would have saved it, but that’s all I can remember except Thorne scored a C.

I follow you and your advice is always on the mark , but I noticed that the last two, the C ya later, and the Triple threat have Magnesium Strearate , that's not a good ingredient, it's used to stop the capsules from sticking to the mold, it's also a filler, and it's reported to cause stomach issues.

Can you look into Magnesium Stearate? I’ve heard that it’s possibly carcinogenic. It’s used in a lot of vitamins and tablets as part of the manufacturing. I’ve found vitamins that don’t use that, but they’re hard to find. I’m in Canada if that matters at all. Thanks!!!

Don’t be fooled by manufacturers’ manipulative tactics.
This comes from Nutra Science Labs:

They’re from a company called VitaTree. They have both a Canadian and a US website. None of their products use fillers. They were created by a naturopathic doctor, and she refused to include any fillers in any of her supplements. She also said that magnesium stearate is a suspected carcinogen, which is in almost every vitamin or tablet you buy. It’s even in Tylenol or Advil tablets. I’ve been taking her supplements for years. They’re more expensive, but more effective because they’re pure product. You get what you pay for. And no, I’m in no way affiliated with the company - it’s just a brand I believe in.

@@corceles nothing is "meant" to hurt anyone. Saying that implies intent. As if sugary cereals and GMO fruits were designed with that purpose. If something causes harm to the general population on a timescale shorter than a typical human life, regulatory bodies like the FDA tend to notice. It's not perfect, but it's a far cry from saying the harm was done on purpose.
Now, if something harms you, specifically, then it bears on you to avoid that (such as gluten for celiacs, and dairy for lactose intolerants). That is also not to say those products exist "to harm".
Peeple forget that the average human lifespan is around 70 years, and it's been steadily increasing, *despite* all of those evil companies putting such "nasty" ingredients, additives, and preservatives to our food. If you die before reaching 90, it won't be because all of that GMO corn you ate, or because those store brand vitamins weren't readily bioavailable. Any regular blood test will tell you most of what needs to be known about your health, and most people are actually fine.

@@corcelesI should also note: most of Flav city's videos are ludicrous fear mongering, and plays on people's anxieties (such as the original commenter) so that they go out and buy, you guessed it, FlavCity brand vitamins. What's sad is that Flav has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. If you listen, he said that most Vitamin C is derived from Ascorbic Acid. In reality, Vitamin C *IS* Ascorbic Acid. Seriously, google it. There's literally no difference between store bought and his brand, and if he claims there is, then the burden of proof is on him to demonstrate why that's the case, and how exactly his version is better. You can't just *say* shit like that with no proof, because gullible, scared people will fear for their and their families lives, and spend all their money on expensive products that won't do them any better. On top of that, the anxiety of this mentality means that, ironically, you're more prone to actually getting sick. It's a self fulfilling prophecy.
