Honestly you're the best photoshop, sketch up renderer and architecture visualiser I've ever come across in youtube and in real life too you are also naturally gifted with communication skills i like your videos before even watching them good job mate
I kinda forgot about the watercolor style since the 1st year of Architecture University. I always dreaded it because I lacked patience. On the other hand I loved markers because they were fast and bold. Now I mostly do computer renders, it’s a shame we don’t practice hand drawing as much. This video made me want to buy a watercolor set and draw for fun and relaxation! Thanks 😌
That’s exactly what I thought when coming up with the style choices for this video. We only do digital work nowadays and never really experiment different techniques. But I agree with you watercolor just takes too much time and it’s quite challenging. Markers were fun, but I still need to practice a lot!
The marker is definitely my favorite. My workflow tends to be markers for sketching and initial designs, then move to Photoshop and vray. Your realistic ones were amazing as well, but the marker one you really nailed, especially as a beginner to markers.
Appreciate the kind words, Noodlenomnom! haha I know there's a lot to improve, but I was also pleased with the markers. You've got a nice workflow going on, great!
I thought that the watercolor would be my least favorite. Turned out to be the one I liked the most. It brings that enchantment that we sometimes need to convey from a building. Loved it!
Great exercise to go through, really interesting results too. For me, style 1 was the best for capturing the most descriptive and true-to-life depiction of the project. Also think this workflow gave you the best time to quality ratio of all 6 approaches. Keep up the great content!
The marker drawing is really great! A little more work in lumion and / or photoshop and the first render is the best result with good time-quality ratio.
Thanks, Yuriy! I tried to balance the effort put into each style. But you’re right, with more time and more PS in the first one, the result can be really great
I love these kind of exercises and admire the perseverence.
Obrigado 😄
Would be interesting to know as well the time it took to create each of these styles. This can also help decide depending on time what is most worth doing for a specific project.
Man! I just bump into your channel by chance and am loving your content, great work , am an architect as well, graduated in Cuba, living is Spain at the moment, If you ever come around this way, it would be my pleasure to host you!, Saludos desde Madrid
Thanks for sharing that Jordan, it makes me happy to know that people are enjoying the content! 😄 What a coincidence! I’m in Spain right now… traveling around North of spain, then Andorra, and South of France. Unfortunately, Madrid isn’t part of the itinerary this time. Appreciate it! Next time for sure 🙌
I think the result will be much spicier if you made night scene for the post production method like you did in your previous video and it will blow the lumion out of the water because lumion's strength lies on its daylight and HQ vegetation, their night render are not as great.
Então ver um comentário desse me anima porque sinto que to no caminho certo! Grande abraço
Great Video please more, more Thank you for the great video the architecture post-processing with Photoshop that in the most interesting topics, thank you very much. I find it very interesting how you can actually realistically bring an architectural drawing to life with Photoshop.
great video! all of them have their pro and cons. i think the lumion images are great for clients at the office, when u have little time and want to get many perspectives and its likely to have lots of changes during the design process. imo most of the real time render images lack personality for me number 2, 4 and 5 are good during the process to get quick results with a lot of personality. during design process i use markers a lot, since i get quick results and also a break from computer. the digital sketch looks really good, but i wonder how much work it is if the design changes to adapt the drawing. the realistic post production one has way more personality over the lumion one. if its a final thesis or a final competition image i would choose realistic with post production. would be interesting to see how the techniques work with interior perspectives. i was wondering how people achieve good results with lumion at interior renderings as shown on their website gallery. does pc specs affect only render time or also quality of the output?
Couldn't have said it better myself. On point Leo! And that's a great idea, redo this with an interior scene. That can be fun! The PC specs only affect the render time and performance inside the program. And thinking about it, if you do have a slow computer, it can negatively impact your process of trying different settings combinations. But technically it doesn't make your render less pretty by having weak specs.
Hi @upstairs first off I have to give it to you you're so good. Plus can you suggest where I could get tutorials to learn SketchUp and Photoshop for architecture. Cause I'm so inspired by your work . I'll give an update probably later in future on my SketchUp and Photoshop skills😊. And also can you recommend a laptop brand and specifications I can get to work the softwares I use plus lumion, that's affordable. Thanks
I really appreciate how you make these look so easy. I do work on Adobe illustrator for my visualization part. Using brushes with mouse or touch pad instead of stylus gives an abstract yet cool design. BTW those pens are Microns or fine liners. :)
It may look easy only because it’s sped up 😅 appreciate it, Gauri Dixit! It seems like a very unique workflow, I’d love to try something like this eventually And also, thanks a lot! I tried to google it but didn’t really find the answer
For realistic render....I don't know ps post-production seems all too much work for very little.....and lumion render seems to have more depth in it......other than that I definitely love your sketch style...
Is it just me or do renders from Lumion kinda downgrade the subtle character of a project since it's made to be predominantly pragmatic ? Watercolor one is really go to for communicating the poetic essence of a project, and it's great to show to client (yes, there are clients that dig that) before doing realistic render, and for that I definitely prefer the V-ray + Photoshop combination, because no matter the poly count or texture detail in any 3D asset, nothing beats a photograph, even the low quality photo asset, according to my experience. Also collaging photos and render to get a realistic result, gives you enough time to reconsider your small choices and makes you more aware of subtle details, resulting in an overall greater and authentic result.
Hello,I like your videos very much .Can I reprint your works to Chinese website,I will indicate the author and your tubing address.Thank you very much!

3, post production work really pays off
that collage one thoughhh, top tier!!

Next level content production right here! This really animated me to go deeper into post production in PS in my next project. Definitely my favorite!
03. Real-time post production
🎉🎉🎉🎉 My Fav
Personally loved the collage look. Great job on all of them though.
Collages will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
You are a true artist!
I’m an interior design student and just found your channel and love it! I just so happen to have this laptop too and it’s excellent for what we do!!!
I like and prefer 1, 3 & 6. But I appreciate the hand made renditions. Well done. :)
my faves are 2 and 6!
Great exercise to go through, really interesting results too. For me, style 1 was the best for capturing the most descriptive and true-to-life depiction of the project. Also think this workflow gave you the best time to quality ratio of all 6 approaches. Keep up the great content!
Thanks, Joe! Yeah you’re right, if you’re thinking about time spent vs real use, number 1 is the winner there.
Appreciate your input 😄
1 and 3 are the ones I like the most. Continua o Grande trabalho! 👏👏
Obrigado, João!!
The photorealistic one is really stunning ! Outstanding work ! :)
Great Job on all of them, they came out quiet nice.
The marker drawing is really great! A little more work in lumion and / or photoshop and the first render is the best result with good time-quality ratio.

3. Realistic post production
This is fun. Do more, i think there are several other styles you could share. Great content.
Very nice presentation once again :)
It would be very interesting to note the time you passed on each of these styles.
I totally forgot about this information 🤦
It was actually on the script and all, sorry!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Cheers, Moncte!
Great job!
collage , realistic post pro and marker it is nice style thank you for your tutorial
Unbelievable, you are the best at this. They are all very good but I prefer the technique used in image 3...

@@LearnUpstairs nice!, well let me know if you are planning to be in Madrid!.
Thanks! I'm currently using the Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel that is shown in the video
Fun watch, like 'em all. But because you asked, I'd say 3 and 5.
simplesmente o brabo
Hey nice work, I think you might want to disclose the sponsorship as that can be an issue on YT sometimes. Great video, very interesting experiment.
Hey Michal, it’s said on 1:03
And even on the video description 🤔
But I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Appreciate the feedback 😀
@@LearnUpstairs You did that indeed! Must have missed that part. I stand corrected. Cheers :)
Do you recommend using different types of styles in one portfolio or only one type to keep consistency?

Great Video please more, more

I find it very interesting how you can actually realistically bring an architectural drawing to life with Photoshop.
I have to Ask
How do you turn your markers hand-drawing into a clear net Picture like this??
I like the realistic collage more than the Lumion realistic one. I just speak to me
I love 1, 3 and 6. Best option is render 1 with more post production in photoshop.
The perfect balance 👌

I very appreciate the content !! But I would like to know how and on which software you were able to take only the linearts of the 3D model scene ?
Thanks! I used Sketchup with a “style” called Hidden Line, which only highlights the 3D basic lines
Do you model your projects all in sketchup or do you use another program like revit or archicad before?
Thanks!
