What’s most hilarious is that right now on the CT site, they are advertising two of these single pop shades as a “kit”-for literally just double the price of a single. No savings whatsoever, and you can’t pick two of the same shade, but it’s a kit? LOL
To me these palettes make no sense. They are obviously made for us to want to buy both, they put a light shade on each palette and a dark one on each instead of making them all for someone with light skin and another one for dark so we can actually use the whole palette. As much as I like one of the blushes I won’t be able ti use the other in the palette. Like you said this would have been great if they had a bronzer, we could actually use the whole palette and travel with it. But what are we supposed to do? Travel with the bronzer palette and the pink blush palette and the peach blush palette? This is ridiculous. Palettes are not to be convenient anymore like they used to be.
Girl I'm lighter than you and wear blushes darker than those 2 you think are too much from each palette. I just sheer them out a lot and it looks awesome! I literally have red blush like a true red that looks super natural sheered out!
As someone with a deeper complexion face palettes with bronzers almost never work for people with deeper complexions. I have last year's nudegasm and it was a complete waste because the bronzers/contour shades are light AF. At least with blushes more people can use all the shades

Thank You Jamila for saying what EVERYONE with a deeper complexion has been saying. This is exactly the reason I never buy cheek palettes. They aren't usually made with us in mind. I find better luck with BIPOC or mua brands.
Those single shadows feel like a lazy launch with a “free gift with purchase” kind of vibe more so than a special holiday release. For me at least, they’d be destined to find their way to the back of the makeup drawer to be forgotten almost immediately.
You could totally depot the sparkle shade from her quad and carry that around if that is why you are purchasing these. If they were special duo chrome then I would try a couple. The blue is special though I must admit! ❤

There’s no winning with holiday releases I guess. Cos if she’d release a big palette, people would say oh it’s the same old thing. And that a big palette is overwhelming and if you release singles people will just say it’s a lazy launch 🤦🏻♀️

Some enjoy bigger palettes while others feel larger palettes can be overwhelming … others enjoy single shadows 🤷🏻♀️ if you prefer one over the other get it or skip … either way there’s something for everyone’s preference or you skip & save those coins !

Ahh thanks for not using too much contour so we can actually SEE the products on you! You have the perfect canvas 😍 I have her pillow talk glow highlighter compact which I found to be a bit too glittery. I wish she had left out one highlighter and replaced it with a bronzer/contour shade. Then it would be perfection because the blushes are right up my alley 🥰 Always appreciate your honesty Patty, and I’m impressed how fast you were on this release 👏🏼 Def will be watching for updates 🌸

I'm so glad that you mentioned the micro glitter in the lighter highlighter in the medium/deep palette! Because I'm light, but was much more drawn to the color story of the medium/deep one, especially because of the top shades. But knowing that highlighter has glitter in it, no thank you. You just saved me $75 and made me feel so much better about skipping out on that one!

i actually love both shadows as just a one shadow look the colour has so much dimension it looks like theres more than one eyeshadow on there but like everything has just been blended really well

Bought the last year palette (Nudegasm) , and love it! this one... with no bronzer or contour (as you've said), seems unreasonable to have it. 🤷♀️
And yeah, that blue eyeshadow is tempting!!!

There is no way I would pay $34 for a single eyeshadow. If I did I would pay for an indie brand single eyeshadow they do it better.

I think the shade actually is called ROSS gold which would be why it doesn't look rose gold - it's I guess a "champagne peach". Great review as always!
Would love to see a face palette with two bronzers and two blushes instead of more highlighters! Also the singles remind me of her singles when she first started her make up line just updated colours

Thanks for mentioning the micro glitters I. The face palettes, that’s an automatic skip for me. While I don’t loooove single shadows, I don’t mind either. It’s nice to have have or 2 in your top drawer to pop on the center of the lid for shine. These actually have more base color than I was imaging for a “pop” shade. I’m excited to pick up 1 or 2 of those.
I also love the Nudegasm palette. I would like to see a palette with 2 blushes and 2 bronzers. Being older highlighters are not something I get too excited about. I can get by more than adequately with what I already have. I appreciate your enthusiasm and content. Thank you.
I know what you mean about certain highlighters. This gave me a great idea! I might go ahead and get it but de-pan one of the highlighters and replace it with a CT bronzer. Patty should do a video helping us figure out how to do it since she said would switch the blushes 😉

These are beautiful Patty, although I have to say I’m a bit let down that there is no palette this year. I have purchased them the last five years 😢 I do not wear highlighter as I am super oily, so I decided against this palette I only use the bronze shades in the last one she did so I don’t feel like it’s worth it for me. However I am very interested in the Smokey quartz eyeshadow I just really don’t want to spend $34 on it lol great review Patty ❤

I totally agree that she should have switched the blushes but I think she did it on purpose so that people with lighter skin would buy both because the peach bush is gorgeous and then the one from the light one that says pillow talk in it is gorgeous so I literally bought both because of that and kind of to review on Instagram but had she switch them I would’ve only bought the light one
I was able to pick up the light palette and all the pop shots on Beautylish. The only one they didn't have and I am on the hunt for is the smokey quartz. I love one and done shadows. Currently Lover's Diamond and Cosmic Rocks are sold out on the site. The little colored gem packaging. Slays me its so cute.
I agree on the pallet if it had a bronzer it would be more user friendly I have the hourglass in the butterfly that is much more versatile the ten dollars more was worth it,I am glad that I didn't order the one that you were showcasing,however they are lovely it just seems like a lot of money for something that isnt going to get a lot of use out of and I am not cheap on products by any means, I have a lot of CT cosmetic's especially in the Pillow Talk collection and her huge bronzer the cream to powder formula is totally worth it,I get so so many compliments when I use her bronzer I use it on my checks upper forehead and under my jawline all the way across and blend it,it narrows out my jawline big time,that is a must have the $56 for her bronzer is worth it,I am a cosmetologist for over 20 years and I've tried hundreds of bronzers and she is awesome along with SAIE and Patrick Ta,which I have those two as well.

I wonder if they included a more medium shade in each pallet because they didn’t have 3 pallets for light and medium and then dark. This way light medium has a choice and dark medium also has options. I’m likely picking up the lighter one and I need the new Patrick star ones and I need the new hourglass ones. I’m in trouble!

I wish I would have waited to watch this first cause I purchases both face palettes. I did the the deep one on sale tho. Also the only shot I don't have coming is the smoky quartz I missed it. I'm keeping my eye open for the next place to get that one. Honestly the packaging got me on this set this year. This by far is my favorite holiday release!
Welllll bummer. I purchased the light one and I agree I think the blushes should’ve been switched. Mine hasn’t arrived yet…. This was one of the holiday launches I was excited about.
I would like the see a face pallette blush highlight, and bronzer for deeper shades. All shades fair, med, and deep. I not familiar with her blushes but I love her Bronzer. So I know she can do it.

@@kat284 I like Terra Moons, Devinah and JD Glow for really amazing shine, multichromes and metallics. Terra Moon also has great mattes. And of course Sydney Grace has the best formulas for shimmer and mattes. As for palettes, I love my Adept Cosmetics.
I just received my first Glaminatrix products. Swatches are great but haven't tested on my eyes. I also hear Looxie is a great affordable brand.
I don't get too adventurous with color so hopefully someone else will have some good recommendations for color, if you are into that! @Talya what do you like?

These palletes definitely should've been in duos. A blush with corresponding highlighter. Or like you said, the lighter ones together, because the setup doesn't make sense 🤔 very conflicted wether to pick one up.

I feel the same way about the Hourglass palettes that there is a blush that could had been switched amongst the palettes to make them perfect for the skin complexion they were meant to. What is going on with this brands they can't create a cohesive complete palette.

I really love a super sparkly eye but I don't think I can justify the price...I wonder how they compare to say a Pat McGrath special shade in terms of sparkle...I like four of the shades so that's $136....more than most full size luxury palettes cost.

Your so right about that light peachy color in the darker pallet & it should have been in the lighter pallet & that darker shade in the light pallet in the darker pallet…🤦🏻♀️It had to have been a mistake it makes no sense. It’s a miss for the consumer & their expected sales. Nonetheless; I will see if I am going to pick up the light pallet & can’t wait to see her Holiday pallet ! It's just as well for me. I have three of the 12-pan and I don't even use them that much., I'm glad she's introducing colors like emerald green and that beautiful teal. Hoping for some purples.

Easy pass on the cheek palette. First of all, they're not really my shades and secondly, it looks like a Spring/Summer palette. Also, I've been spoilt by the Gucci blushers, I adore them.

I just purchased the Patrick Ta blush palette. I hope I love it. I’m kind of on the fence on this Charlotte Tilbury holiday palette verses the Hourglass Elephant palette so I am very happy to hear your thoughts comparing those two palettes. As for the singles, they are a hard no for me.

There are 7 total pop shots.
Now where is a 12 pan holiday palette that is finally cool toned or at least neutral like the OG. Or a fire rose collection with a 6 pan eyeshadow palette that she normally releases around holiday with a beauty light wand to expand the range. I prefer that these face palettes don’t have bronzer/contour as they aren’t inclusive when included (I have never found a palette with these suiting me).

I have to agree with you on the mix of shades in each palette:the LIGHT shades SHOULD have been TOGETHER as well as the DARK shades. The cool-warm dichotomy is NOT as useful here when trying to MARKET as LIGHT VS. DEEP.

Although very pretty they're grossly overpriced. Moira cosmetics has beautiful single eyeshadows for $7.50. Just saying.
Those single shadows aren’t anything special or must have imho … I would recommend Chantecaille luminescent eye shades over the CT … also pricey but with stunning shades & really dimensional & if you wait for sales you can get them at a better price ! I was passing on these face palettes because I own all the other ones & love them but I caved & got the “darker” one which I’m sure I can make work on my light to medium skin tone ❤
These are a pass for me I bought 1 of the hourglass palettes I’d rather invest in another one of those there more inclusive and smooth no glitter!
