I have the original Delta Pro. The main thing holding me back is money, lots of it. If...I could use my DP extra battery and even use the main Delta Pro as a spare battery for the DP3, I might really be interested.
I have 2 of the original Delta Pros as well with the dual voltage hub connected to a transfer switch. I think the upgrade for me would be the Delta Pro Ultra if I was going to upgrade. Right now my system works just fine.
Pretty great review, thanks for making it as I was having trouble navigating the differences in lines and models! Only recommendation for future comparisons is to keep the comparison on the side of the screen of the model so I don't have to remember it after it fades away and you talk about the other one (solar input comparisons from the model on left vs right for instance). The easier you make it to take it the faster people will buy it ;)

No, we do not currently support separate charging of the DELTA Pro3's extra battery The current alternator charger can charge the DELTA Pro3, but it cannot charge the extra battery separately.

The extra battery of the DELTA Pro can be connected to and used with the DELTA Pro3. However, the DELTA Pro itself cannot currently be connected to the DELTA Pro3 for combined use.

Does Delta Pro 3 automatically detect a device, be it a tool battery or a well pump, that is not actively charging or running, and stop using power to run inverter?
The original Delta pro was a big hit in 2021 and the Delta pro 3 is average at best . Its overpriced and the 2 mppts using an interchangeable connection is a disaster waiting to happen . Imagine plugging 🔌 your high PV array to the 60V mppt by mistake 😢? Even a budget unit like a Pecron e3600lfp has 2 , 150V mppts though at lower wattage

However, in Europe, high-voltage electricity is standard. Therefore, we will be releasing a European-spec high-voltage version of the DELTA Pro3 in the future, which will output 230V like the DELTA Pro.
I bought a Smart Home Panel that was faulty. I found out after it was installed. I paid an electrician $3000 for the install. Ecoflow confirmed that the panel was faulty and sent me a new one. BUT, then I was on the hook to pay for a new install and Ecoflow won’t pay for the install of their faulty equipment. DO NOT BUY.
The 1000W solar input will be IMPOSSIBLE to max out if it’s limited to 20A and 60V. 1000W / 20A = 50V, and there’s no panel that has a Vmp of 50V without a Voc that exceeds 60V. The only way to do that would be to seriously overpanel, which is a waste of solar panels. Don’t forget Voc increases at lower temperatures, so you also have to consider the temperature coefficient of the panels for cold weather use.
The PV input parameters are designed according to the hardware specifications. Our official 400W folding panel has a rating of 48V/9.8A. When two panels are connected in parallel, the output becomes 48V/19.8A, which can approach 1000W at full power operation. We do not recommend using solar panels exceeding these specifications, as it may trigger overvoltage/overcurrent protection and stop power generation.
@@EcoFlowTech Incorrect. Your 400W solar panel has a Voc (Voltage Open Circuit) rating of 48V, a Vmp (Voltage Maximum Power) of 41V, and an Imp (Current Maximum Power) of 9.8A. Vmp x Imp = maximum output 41V x 9.8A = 400W (it’s a 400W panel) Two 400W panels in parallel is 800W, not 1000W.
The technical updates are very useful but they do not justify that price increase.

The current alternator charger can charge the DELTA Pro3, but it cannot charge the extra battery separately.

Vmp x Imp = maximum output
41V x 9.8A = 400W (it’s a 400W panel)
