    Using sticky substances doesnt really bother me since that stuff has always been in baseball, it was pitchers getting mad and throwing at players for celebrating hits and HR's when they are cheating. The hypocrisy is what made me upset at the cheating.

      the "sticky stuff" that pitchers are using today isn't what has been usually used... these are substances that are used to glue cinderblocks together or help strongmen grip atlas stones. not pine tar or sunscreen and rosin. It completely unbalances the pitcher hitter dynamic since increased spin rate increase swing and miss. This was a massive issue, and right after the ban Offence increased and averages increased by i believe 50 points across baseball. The Sticky Stuff was a massive problem.

      Baseball itself is lathered in hypocrisy. I used to be on the side of anti PED users in the hall. But over time, I've soured on baseballs self delusion. As if its the purest sport of the major 3. It's why I roll my eyes on folks who hate the Astros or Red Sox for the signs. All the while pitchers tried every chance to get an advantage.

    As a lifelong Yankee fan, mid 90's to present, I have to say this vid is on point. Cole and Chapman were heavily dependent on the sticky stuff and haven't been the same since the crackdown. It's indisputable at this point. They cheated. They can't anymore. And now they suck. Cole may turn out to be the biggest bust since Ellsbury, A-Rod, Pavano, you name it. Might be the worst ever, of any team.

    • @christopherjamesboudoir
      @christopherjamesboudoir Рік тому +1

      When the Yankees resigned A-Rod after he opted out in 2007 then yes, definitely not a good investment. But if I remember correctly he still wasn't that bad in the field. And he played basically every day. The problem with pitchers is that they only pitch every 5 days. So in theory they get paid way more per game. And even in today's game, Cole's numbers do not justify 36 mill a year, at all. I would say that he is the biggest bust for the Yankee's in the current era.

However, the Yankees and MLB were able to coerce the court from releasing the evidence of the Yankees’ cheating from being released to the public thanks to the power that the the Yankees and MLB have on the justice system and the politicians. Throughout their history the Yankees were able to keep their crimes from being exposed thanks to the influence that they have being that they are baseball’s most powerful organization, a power that includes their ability to get favorable calls from umpires that call strikes and balls! With the ability of the Yankees to cheat with impunity one has to wonder how many of the Yankees’ 27 World Series titles were “won” by shady means! What is the extent of the Yankees’ crimes in order for them to game the system so that they could secure all of those World Series titles? Many baseball fans that have kept up with the sport believe the Yankees are the most corrupt organization in all of sports and that’s why the Yankees are able to “win” all of those titles that are estimated to be 25% of all World Series titles!

    So, that's not enough for these pitchers? Here's my solution: pitchers can use the spider tack crap, but the mound has to be backed up a few feet to be in the geometric center of the diamond. And the mound can even be raised a few inches back to where it was before it was lowered in the 1960s. The reaction time for the hitters will be increased, which will help them be more competitive against some of these ridiculous pitches they have to deal with.
