Hey! Welcome back to the channel, hope you enjoy the video! I said i'd be making an update video on my last upload but things have been... rocky. I hope to give you more information soon.
Nice to see the new video on games I grew up with. But I am curious that Toy story never fell under your childhood because without passwords it was as bad as lion king in some respect. Here's to some (hopefully) calm and productive months ahead.
I love the little touches in these videos, like the impact explosion upon "HOLY SHIT HE'S DEAD". I must say, even just watching, that camera _really_ puts me off from this game. Glad it supposedly got fixed or adjusted down the line.
It is always a great feeling when you finally cover that game you swore you'd get around to talking about...soon...and then three years have passed XD Nice work as always, dude! I love seeing more attention paid to these Disney games.
If you happen to have a Game Gear, I strongly reccommend to check the 8 bit version of Castle of Illusions. In my opinion it's even better than the more famous 16 bit counterpart. In fact, the whole 8 bit Illusion series is worth checking.
Good job UA-cam. Bell set to all notifications and definitely still subscribed but this one didn't appear in the sub box. Luckily the video over on the other channel appeared. Looking forward to watching this one :)
When I was a kid, I got the Aladdin Sega Mega Drive game for christmas and I had very good time. :) I played at least 3-4 times because the good music, level layouts and its atmoshpere. I got the Disney's Classic: Aladdin and Lion King compalition on a sale and I can enjoy those 2 Disney video games as I enjoyed in my childhood.
Ha, hilarious but spot-on review. I think it was that rocky level before the carpet ride in the cave that got me too when I was a kid. Only got to the carpet ride once... and died immediately.
Ahhhh omg you finally made it! I remember when you teased this years ago! Good job Elliot. :) I love this channel so much. Also wow this is actually a game I own! Super cool!
Yes! I love watching the Pixelated Momories videos! :D The humor is just spot on and your point of few and little stories to these games are really interesting. I hope there will be more of this in the future! :)
That desert stage gave me intense Zero the flying squirrel flashbacks... I`d love for you to cover that game at some point by the way, along with shinobi 3 and super castlevania 4 (these were the games I`d play when I wasn`t playing sonic, super mario or DKC) I also had a tiny toons game (buster busts loose I think it was), swat katz, and the pagemaster that I would occasionally play (and give up on). I`d love if you could give these games a go (after checking out the mickey mouse games) so that I can have my fragile childhood memories shattered by how crap the games I`ve mentioned are (or at least how poorly they`ve aged). There was also this one game, Rolo to the rescue, which I clearly remember trying to play on MANY occasions, and each time coming to the conclusion that I don`t understand, or like, this game even though I`ve just checked and was apparently really well recieved...
I had most exposure to the DOS/Amiga version that shares its content with the MegaDrive version. I agree, SNES/GBA does do a lot of things right, but I can't say no to a sword!
Not gonna lie, whenever I see Genie's stage, I can't help but think of Mr. Aladdin's Wild Ride. Edit: I think Rug Ride does eventually let you skip it if you fail it a few times. Just thought that might be worth noting.
You know, you might be right! Thinking back I do seem to remember something like that. Since i've gotten used to that level by now, I didn't think of it at the time.
Honestly, the SNES version is WAY more gimmicky than the Genesis/MegaDrive version looks from this. Full disclosure, I haven't played the Sega version, but I played the SNES version a lot. The first SNES level has the right song, for starters. But the whole game has a lot of momentum based bologna in it... Bouncing off pole-platforms is finnicky as shit, the hitboxes to swing on anything are garbage, especially in the cave of wonders, and the Genie level is actually pretty brutal because it has a section that relies on RNG, AND bats over pits, the horizontal bats also respawn. Granted, you can use apples to solve the bat problem, you dont get many in the Genie stage. The final boss against Snake-Far is also really busted. Sometimes the eggs Snake-far spits don't bounce high enough to get you high enough to hit him, sometimes they bounce WAY too high to even try, and since there's a time limit, you can't afford to wait and find out if the egg is a good one or not, so you die a lot to high-eggs that you can't wait for.
You reviewed stage 7 before stage 6? I thought it was a mistake or editing error but I presume it is because you hated stage 6 that bad that you didn’t want to even talk about it lol

this channel is so underrated!
My childhood, and all those Disney games on Genesis are my jam!
Ah Aladdin , The only Sega Genesis game I had as a kid that wasn't a Sonic game.
Better late than never indeed :)
I preferred this one to the snes version. Maybe because this was the only one I played. But still the art style was so much better in this one.
Sweet video

Nice video big dawg
Please do World of Illusion!
I'm sure I will at some point :)
nice video
Mega Drive sounds like a heaven compared to the SNES version...
You might enjoy the SNES Capcom version for a change of pace.
I do want to try it eventually
As a kid I could never beat stage 6...
YAy!!!!!!

Can you make more sonic vids
