Hello, I personally don't have just 1 go to paper/card for embossing.. I use all sorts of mirror,plain,patterned cards and papers.. As I like different effects. I only mist with water if the paper/card I am using 'cracks' when embossed.. as the water will help the fibers in the card shape without cracking. I hope this helps :)
