Dorian: A name wouldn't be bad... Orym: So you'd probably need like, a theme...or some kind of unifying quality? Opal: Well, we're all pretty attractive... Me: * *slaps the table* * The Mighty Fine!
The Wildmother to Caduceus and Fjord: Communicates with them mostly via very subtle changes in the local weather. The Wildmother to Opal: "Bitch, are you okay?"
The kind of thing that the character would know. The kind of thing that the dm should remind a new player about, before asking if they would still like to proceed. Good thing the battles are never dangerous or wasting resources might matter
@R_Panda They're a 3rd level party so how dangerous exactly are you expecting these fights to be and not only that but last time opal literally went unconscious.
@@RPanda3S Your idea that they haven't faced a challenge is wrong. The encounter with Paska was absolutely a challenge, not all challenges have to end in combat
I love how Matt created this vast world filled with history, lore, and many great journeys and when he gets to finally play in his own world he takes the artifact of an ancient evil goddess and shoves it in a bag of pies as if it belongs there.
This is so comedic and chaotic, I feel like Matt is channeling both his inner Grog and his inner Jester at the same time. And it is hilariously glorious! Lol
@@isaiahwelch8066 that's exactly what he was doing. He tried to play similar to travis in campaign one. He said so in an interview (or the wrap up, not sure)
"Rolls are when a decision and the universe might disagree" That is such an awesome line and I'm gonna remember it if I ever dm or even just explain dnd to someone.
That is a good saying. But she doens't use it in that way herself. For example, Dorian rolled a 2 on an INT check to figure if he was dreaming or not. Now idk in what world a 2 would be even close to a succes, but he was given allot of info, for rolling a 2 on an INT check.
@@privpi i've stopped making direct comparisons to matt and decided to judge her on her own. And honestly yes she is generous, but she is actually a really good dm and finds great solutions for things
@@bwadarkon I'm not comparing them. I like her, and she is a pretty good DM. But I have "complaints" for lack of a better word, that are more significant then Matt, and I just prefer Matt. I don't think he's better, they're both good in their own ways, how stupid that may sound, and I simply prefer Matts play style
Don't think anyone failed a single non-combat roll with Aabria DMing. Roll a 4? Sure, still get a ton of information, basically a success on the attempt.
Naw. Matt understands that low rolls can make the story more interesting and/or fun (which is the whole point of playing), so he embraces them. When the _character_ fails, that doesn't necessarily mean the _player_ has to fail too.
I get that it's just a difference in DMs and style and all that, but I like to think that part of the reason why the Wildmother sounded like that when talking to Opal is that gods communicate on a level above language, so it reaches the receiver in a way that they comprehend. So while Caduceus was able to understand the meaning behind changes in the wind, Opal gets the same sort of messages translated into Mean Girl. XD
I came to send this exact comment. In my opinion all the deities speak every language their worshippers can, so while a Firbolg like Caduceus can literally speak to nature (due to the racial trait) A human like Opal needs it a bit more… on the level
I think I've said this in every Exandria Unlimited comment section, but Fearne is the perfect character for Ashley. The sweet exterior with a witty, strong, dark interior is just perfect for her! I love it!
It's gonna be crazy when C3 starts and Matt rolls endless Nat 20's in a row to balance out his 1's in ExU, and he kills the whole party in the first fight.
As Lolth started talking I was getting ready for bed, looked up and found myself face to face with a spider dangling at eye-height from the ceiling. Nearly fucking shat meself.
@@bigdream_dreambig auto correct is a bitch. But I mean is a moon druid who shift into some of the most athletically capable animals not a sports druid?
2:42:39 "After 15-20 seconds, the alligator gets catatonic and goes limp" I love how Matt's and Liam's reaction is just "THAT'S 4 ROUNDS; WE HAVE A MISSION" it's so perfect
Matt - The master of NOT backseat DMing. I really appreciate him taking the table the way it's being run. Just another thing that shows how kind he actually is :)
if only a good chunk of the audience could do the same thing! especially since they claim it's for the sake of his world when he himself is having a blast. but yeah that being said i do love his attitude in general be it here, during one shots or while DMing it's really... comforting? refreshing? idk what word i'm looking for but it's great to see
Spider Queen: "What will you give me in return?" Robbie: "Almost anything." * Aabria and Matt grin and everyone else at the table just freezes* No, never say something like that when dealing with a demon/evil god, you are giving her card blanche.
I absolutely love how dedicated these guys are to portraying their characters accurately- from Aimee keeping to Opal's stubbornness and slightly arrogant naiveite, to Dariax's goofy willingness to dive blindly into danger. They are gems, all of them.
I love that Aabria changed Dorian's alignment on the spot based on his decision. For me, it calls back to one of my favorite Caduceus moments in C2 when he said "People aren't 'good'. Things that you DO are good, or bad, but people are just people." Alignment isn't a permanent trait for your character. It's based on your actions. A great reminder and example that people can change, for better or worse! And you'll almost never know in the moment which it is. He thought it was the right thing to do based on what he knew, as all great heroes and villains both do.
I think usually you have a good idea of what would fuel a darker change. Saying " ok, I'll give you "porsha" . You don't "give" a Power of Darkness, a Betrayer God , other sentients. And if you do, alignments change, at least for awhile. It takes awhile to come back from some things.
@@mathybrain8 That's true. There are some nice people who have made dumbass decisions, and some are in prisons, or dead in gang violence. I think people can be called " good" or " evil" . At least in books. But that doesn't mean that they are or aren't going to do the right thing. One thing that the older guys in the game used to do back in the day was to say or rule that if you have an alignment " break" it was traumatic!! You got penalized half your earned experience points for at least a level. You had to go for an atonement spell. There'd be a quest that the cleric gave you that you had to fulfill. You'd have to take up a charity, perhaps ( you strangle a street orphan for trying to pick your pocket, murder= bad, so now you have to find an orphanage to give the kids a better chance). I liked it. It cut down a bit on murder hoboes, made a good alignment something to be proud of, and made chaotic neutral / chaotic evil unpopular ( and I hate those alignments). Unfortunate, it also opened the door to megalomaniac DMs. But spared us passive agressive players. It also got muddied if someone wanted to play games with cultural relativism. Which is kinda crap in a world where the gods talk to you. But do you listen to Gods? Hmmm.
I was so happy when on the mountain he was like "So the ash makes it hard to breath? I'm gonna, stop breathing." Then here, he's like, well he's invisible, so let's send the dwarf who might know how to do this.
I love when newer players like Aimee go for something usually out of the realm of possibility, like the rain cloud cantrip -- she didn't go out of her way to do anything overpowered, but used her imagination to do something that most of us would not have even considered. And props to Aabria for being a rad DM and letting the PCs really explore the limits of their characters.
"And, also, a Hexblade's Curse..." "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?" "I don't know! Something! He's Fucked...?" As a new DnD player, I relate to this more than anything!
@@quendi5557 EVERYone has that same relationship with 'sneak attack'. It's not clear to almost EVERY player. Especially with ''surprise', where you kinda, sorta might get your 'sneak attack'... but it's doesn't quite say that? And balrogs don't have wings.
When Dorian, Orym and Fy'Ra are arguing, Dariax looks like a child that witnesses its parents fight. Not sure whats going on, but just wanting everyone to get along. Also the way he looks to Dorian for guidance all the time.
When they start talking about what they should be calling themselves and they talk about what is unifying them and they all agree that they are Hot, and that the name should be something with hot in it, my mind went straight to "Hot Mess".
My take was, "Hot 💩." _"Hello citizens of Emon! We are your heroes, saviors, your champions against your troubles and woes! That's right! WE ARE HOT SH!T!"_ Everytime they say the word "sh!t" it gets cut off by ludicrous farting sounds.
This episode perfectly exemplifies the roleplaying that makes Liam one of my favorite players. He’s always in character. When the Wildmother begins speaking to Orym, he’s not just trying to gather plot information, but placing himself in that setting, in that moment. He acknowledges how rare and beautiful such an opportunity would be.
@@ianwinkie5482 I like em. Feel a bit more realistic; you're not always going to have NPCs who speak in flowing script, sometimes you have people who use Like every other word.
It'd be all 3 trying to one-up one another on chaotic comedy and giving the chosen DM a LEGENDARY migraine. I'm not gonna say that I'm all for it, but I do agree that it can be interesting.
It is definitely improv based on Matt's reactions the past few weeks. The fact he went all in months later is a testament to how great he is. He even did the gesticulations that everyone added.
I love seeing the way Robbie has Dorian respond to Aabria’s direction when he fails or passes a saving throw involving the Spider Queen. He’s so expressive and it adds so much to the story. They’re all incredible at it, but Dorian in particular surprises me.
I love how Caduceus dedicates his life to the Wild Mother and only gets vague windborne hints from her. This party stumble through a jungle and get a whole personal introduction
I love new players who don't read their own characters and understand what they can do. This show is such a great example of my two favorite types. We have Aimee who does fun and weird story stuff which is in no way tied to rules or gamey like behavior. Then there is Robbie who accidently messes up spells like with Invisibility in this or doesn't realize that he was the perfect person to walk up to the Obelisk since he can just choose to not breath and wouldn't be affected by the plants spray since you had to breath in the spores.
Agreed. If D&D was all about making the optimal choice every single time, I doubt it would be half as fun. I can't tell you the amount of times I'll face palm after a session after realising I forgot to make use of that one ability I have that would negate that one obstacle in my path. Besides, sometimes seemingly poor choices lead to unexpected outcomes. Like flipping a gator.
Actually I find Aimee's play absolutely inspiring. She actually knows her character really well if you watch her decisions. However she is role-playing her characters personality of a fairly naive and stubborn young woman extremely well. I find Robbie irritating because it's clear he hasn't taken the time to learn his spells. Playing a Bard in any group is a huge responsibility. It's an extremely complex class that can be an enormous benefit to a group. His roleplay is fantastic but he needs to do more work on knowing how his spells and abilities work.
@@KevinLCrawford I don't know if you watched Campaign 1 of CR, but they all forgot how their spells and abilities work constantly, and it actually took a long time for the main group to reach a point where they were extremely well-versed with their character sheets. Even Liam was constantly messing up Vax's abilities, I think the only people who were extremely on point with their abilities from the get go were Sam and Travis. Regardless, to call someone who is new to D&D and also just getting paid to do it for our entertainment irritating just because they haven't tattooed the entirety of the PHB onto the back of their eyelids is pointless in my opinion. Robbie has used a couple of his spells extremely creatively, and like you said, Bards are a complex class, it's only natural he'd struggle with its ins and outs. Stop giving these players such a hard time just because you're given the opportunity to sit back and judge their gameplay. I highly doubt you were perfect when you showed up to your first ttrpg game.
@@alleycat2297 To be fair, there's not that much to keep track of at level 3. Even if there was, he knew he was gonna cast invisibility, so a precursor reading before initiating that spell is a pretty good rule of thumb. It's the D&D version of rereading a text before you send it. Much to your point, that probably comes with the experience he just gained though.
@@nybbleme Matt's reaction in a previous episode tells me the ad spots are definitely recorded after the episode and Aabria and cast are deciding what he's going to do
@@nybbleme They aren’t prerecorded because if they were why wouldn’t he just say the announcements at the table? They record them right before the episode goes up so all the announcements are up to date
@@sethkeown5965 Yeah, I dont think a lot of people can pull it off. He did have a bit of a Van Dyke going on, but I'm pretty sure just a mustache would work for him too.
I wish I could draw worth anything, I’d love to see some fanart or Dorian and Dariax, one panel with the words “back to back?” And art of them sleeping back to back. Then another panel with “Back to back.” And them standing back to back on a battlefield, bloodied with weapons drawn
It took me 5 episodes to realize that comfy Matt is literally future Matt (even though Aabria said it 5 times), and that whatever Aabria says he has after the announcements (the nails), he then has to do it. Beautiful XD
Huge fan of the fact that now that Fy'ra Rai is a party member I have already almost gotten her name confused with Fearne's, and now we have two O names, two D names and two F names.
Dorian: "That sounds like a threat Orym." Orym: "Because that's what it was." God I love how Liam plays Orym. No nonsense, will defend his friends no matter what. Even if it means getting confrontational. I hope Liam plays a character like this in C3.
Aabria has such an approachable DM style - interactive with her players, open about her feelings about player actions, open to help players accomplish what they want, throws dice - I can relate
“If he was the tree that stayed there, I’m the rock that people keep throwing.” - Dariax - Dariax: “Just trust me.” Dorian: “I don’t.” - “We met a cool guy back in the city who needed to know if this could help him understand a picture of another rune thing that was in a mountain that we need to know to help our friend who is trying to get help from the fire friends.” - Dariax “Goddess… Did I swallow Ted?” - Opal “The world is big and wide and terrifying and bright. And you’re never going to figure it all out. All you can do is take one foot, put it in front of the other, and keep going.” - The Wildmother “I only want there to be one of me, and I like this version better.” - Fearne
Opal not picking up on the fact that her sister is like soul bonded with her or is within her somehow annoys me so much but at the same time it’s so good to see the player sticking with their decision to be oblivious to this 😂
My headcanon is that every time someone finds out they're playing with Aabria as a DM, they google "random animal facts" before each session just in case.
I’ve decided to catch up on this series since the return of certain characters in Campaign 3, and I just want to say Fy’ra Rai is one of the most badass characters I’ve seen in D&D. Pulling off a mysterious yet trustworthy badass is super difficult but Anjali does it so well and her voice is absolutely mesmerising. I’ve honestly been inspired to come up with a concept for a fire Genasi character for myself since I have seriously overlooked them as a race.
I love her character. I am currently playing a fire Genasi Druid in Witchlight. I had fun scaring the talking bunnies when I wildshaped into a wolf with fire tipped fur.
@@Hollowbarista The spider queen is lolth but when they were establishing the gods of Exandria they didn't have the rights to the forgotten realm gods so they called them something else but pretty much the same gods.
Just going to be a nature nerd here. Crocodiles and alligators have extremely strong mucles for *closing* their jaws, but very weak muscles for opening them. So it is dead easy to hold their jaws shut as long as you have them immobilised so they can't throw you off.
Yeah, death rolls are better when not in the jaws, but being repeatedly slammed on trees and the ground or underwater by a thing the size and weight of a car is not an enviable situation
@@dubbingsync they are pretty chill when not hungry, and can spend hours right next to prey without doing anything, but if you get near at the wrong moment you are as safe as my wallet in a dice store (ripped open in a matter of seconds)
@Greg S So... what you're saying is that a Crocodile on its back being restrained by magical vines wouldn't be able to counter a Water Genasi hog-tying its mouth shut? So Dorian shouldn't have had to roll for that? Good to know! *pockets that info away for future use*
1:01:45 "Rolls are where a decision and the universe may disagree on a course of action." - Aabria Iyengar As a DM, I will hold this advice very close to my heart going forward.
Matt's Wildmother: "Do not worry my child, I will protect you and guide you. Aabria's Wildmother: "I'm a fucking goddess damn it!" I'm a fan of both to be honest
I feel like each deity has facets and every follower sees a facet of their deity that fits their needs best. Caduceus was wise and was capable of reading more obscure clues, and required her warmth and care. This party is a loooot sassier so they require some sass lol
i really really hope that the divine soul link is to Arty, being Dariax a guy that travels and has a compass like a traveler, also, Dariax has red hair
To me, Artagan has more of a "pineapple-shaped sunglasses with a Mai Tai in one hand and a cig in the other" type of vibe, but honestly, now I'm adding a full set of acrylics to my image of Arty
@@leachofsouls I don't think being a pseudo-god automatically makes you a celestial. If anything he probably simply gained more power as an archfey which came closer to being a god than the usual archfey.
3:30:09 "Sounds like a threat, Orym." "That's what it was." I can't believe no one else is commenting on that. Did anyone else feel the temperature drop about a hundred degress at that moment?
The main thing these episodes are making me realize is that I NEED to see, if not Jester and Opal together, at least Laura and Aimee in a game together. Just the amount of shenanigans would be great but the real treat is the bargaining and the look on the face of whoever the DM is for that game.... priceless
Aimee would play Jester's High Priestess of Traveling Chaos. And Laura Bailey would play Jester, as they go with a carton of cupcakes for a certain hag. With Sprinkle inhabited by Artagan the whole time. Lol One word: Epic. Second word: Chaos. Third word: Incarnate.
It took me until this episode to realize that Aimee and Robbie are new players, and as such Matt and Aabria felt the need to make them feel secure and safe and make sure they never feel embarrassed. So much so the two of them are not only sitting next to the GM, but the Liam, not arguably one of the BEST D&D players of all time, sitting next to Robbie. Then, sitting next to Aimee is the best GM/game creator of all time (or VERY CLOSE second best of you watch Dimension 20…), Matt… D&D is such a beautiful game. Keep up the amazing work site casing it and bringing in new life and players and avenues to enjoy it!
Agreed. The number of times I've wanted to, but didn't want to be rude... I tend to roll low :( I once almost killed a party member by trying to cast something over his shoulder and then crit failing, so... definitely an "I want to toss this d20 far, far away" moment.
I should avoid the comment section of this series from here on out. So much unnecessary negativity being directed towards Aabria and her DMing. Not to mention a lot of presumptuous claims of Liam, Ashley and Matt 'seemingly not enjoying it' as much. (That just seems blatantly untrue. Matt's constantly cracking up, Liam and Ashley are just giving the newer players room to breathe and find their sea legs. Nobody has a gun to their head. They're here, playing in Aabria's game, while she takes Matt's seat, because they obviously want to be). Aabria's DMing style is not everyone's cup of tea for sure, that said, ANYONE who has the balls to have to stand in Matt's spot week after week is going to get shit hurled at them for 'not being Matthew Mercer', which is a goddamn shame. We're creatures of habit, and it shows. Doesn't seem like half of the people in the comments are doing anything except for looking for a flimsy excuse to compare their game to Campaigns 1 and 2, as though they're comparable on any level. If not that, they'll whine about the rest of the CR cast not being here. DESPITE this being a MINI-SERIES, not meant to be perfect, but meant to be for fun. And, luckily for us, shared with us for our entertainment. Anyway, I'd like to balance out some of the negativity with some of what I'm loving about EXU, because I for one, am thoroughly enjoying this series and I'm going to be sad when it ends. 1. Aabria's a very encouraging DM, I love how she just runs with what her players throw at her and always offers inspiration over things as simple as a player making her laugh. 2. I think the character-focused narrative suits her DMing style incredibly well, and brings so much depth to characters that we're getting to spend very little time with, in theory. 3. EVERY interaction between Ted and Opal. It really rings true to the way siblings behave. 4. Some of Aabria's throwaway comments have me cackling. "I have spiritually moved on from this moment" and that comment she made about dice and the universe possibly disagreeing. 5. Aabria's games feel personalised, like a casual and light home game. I think it's so necessary for some people, especially in this fandom, to realise that CR is not the 'epitome' or the 'norm' when it comes to D&D. Her games feel more real, more down-to-earth. While Matt is this omnipresent force of personality, Aabria seems to have this no-bullshit take on things, all the while walking shoulder-to-shoulder with her players who she clearly wants to see succeed.
@@iwillcry I just find the outpour of negativity to be kind of dense, and I don't want to say it's the Matthew Mercer effect, because it sounds like it puts the absolute sweetheart of a man that is Matt in a bad light, but I really think people's rigid insistence on holding CR to this gargantuan standard is the reason EXU is getting all this unwarranted shit. EXU has been the best part of my week ever since it started airing, and I adore Robbie and Aimee. Besides, I'd love to see the naysayers who think they can do a better job than Aabria actually prove it. :/
I absolutely love Dorian and Dariaxs bromance, especially when Dorian seemed to fight to stay in character when hes like back to back after orym and Dorian's spat, so wholesome
Fy’ra is such an amazing addition to the group. Her severity and dedication to her goal adds a much needed calm to the groups constant storming. Love it.
Man this is one of the most chaotic and hilarious group that I've ever saw. Even when they had multiple opportunities to hand over the circlet, they much rather find out and also make new enemies along the way. I would love to see more even though I know this is a limited series.
Anyone else think that The Hot Cross Buns would be an awesome group name? They’re not normally grumpy but it is totally on their chaos level and fits Aimee’s criteria of including the word ‘hot’.
It's got "hot." It's got their "buns" because this group is a bunch of butt jokes. And it's got "cross" because not only did they CROSS their first contract, they're also also a crisscrossed group of oddities. It works on *so. many. levels.*

I get that it's just a difference in DMs and style and all that, but I like to think that part of the reason why the Wildmother sounded like that when talking to Opal is that gods communicate on a level above language, so it reaches the receiver in a way that they comprehend.
Just like Matt turned Vex'alia's alignment (offscreen) from Good to Neutral after she stole the flying broom.
I think usually you have a good idea of what would fuel a darker change. Saying " ok, I'll give you "porsha" . You don't "give" a Power of Darkness, a Betrayer God , other sentients.
And if you do, alignments change, at least for awhile. It takes awhile to come back from some things.

I'm 9 months too late but SAME! I love Anjali's character so much. She's been a treat to watch.
I love her character. I am currently playing a fire Genasi Druid in Witchlight. I had fun scaring the talking bunnies when I wildshaped into a wolf with fire tipped fur.

Doesn't Lloth usually hate men? I know in D&D lore she's usually a psychotic misandrist and a Drow supremacist.
Not lolth just some spider queen from xandria world. Forgotten realms is different world. Little bit different gods.
LMAO! This is a great.
@@Hollowbarista The spider queen is lolth but when they were establishing the gods of Exandria they didn't have the rights to the forgotten realm gods so they called them something else but pretty much the same gods.

So...am I the only one digging the "post-credit scenes" with Aabria?
The mcu has taught me well. Never skip them. This episode's is particularly WTF.
wait.... there are post credit scenes?!
@@Matanlimer yes,it's just Aabria by herself giving... details
I like this one a lot. Showing how neutral player characters can cause good ones to miss evil doings being done.
Nope, I cannot do without them anymore, so good!
Even so you’ve got to get close to the bitey end to even chance that opportunity.

Lolth is most of them tbh.

Matt's Wildmother: "Do not worry my child, I will protect you and guide you.
Aabria's Wildmother: "I'm a fucking goddess damn it!"
I'm a fan of both to be honest
I mean, nature is calming and beautiful. Nature will also kill you if you're not careful.
I mean. Every Mother I’ve known has had moments of both.
It all depends on which child your talking to lol
I feel like each deity has facets and every follower sees a facet of their deity that fits their needs best. Caduceus was wise and was capable of reading more obscure clues, and required her warmth and care. This party is a loooot sassier so they require some sass lol
To be fair she's talking to very stupid children right now.
Aabria's face when Opal laid out her plan for the croc --- and it worked (dice-wise). Priceless
I love seeing Matt channel his inner Artagan with those announcements! He always looks like he’s having so much fun 😂
i really really hope that the divine soul link is to Arty, being Dariax a guy that travels and has a compass like a traveler, also, Dariax has red hair
To me, Artagan has more of a "pineapple-shaped sunglasses with a Mai Tai in one hand and a cig in the other" type of vibe, but honestly, now I'm adding a full set of acrylics to my image of Arty
@@Ryquard1 That.... doesn't really make any sense. Artagan is a fey, not a celestial.
@@gazelle_diamond9768 arty was a pseudo god for a bit. He could of knocked up a nice dwarf lady during that period of time.
@@leachofsouls I don't think being a pseudo-god automatically makes you a celestial. If anything he probably simply gained more power as an archfey which came closer to being a god than the usual archfey.

The main thing these episodes are making me realize is that I NEED to see, if not Jester and Opal together, at least Laura and Aimee in a game together. Wildmother...got it lol
Okay but Aabria’s performance in the dream sequence was so engaging. She’s amazing.
Plus her reaction at 47:27
It took me until this episode to realize that Aimee and Robbie are new players, and as such Matt and Aabria felt the need to make them feel secure and safe and make sure they never feel embarrassed. So much so the two of them are not only sitting next to the GM, but the Liam, not arguably one of the BEST D&D players of all time, sitting next to Robbie. Then, sitting next to Aimee is the best GM/game creator of all time (or VERY CLOSE second best of you watch Dimension 20…), Matt…
D&D is such a beautiful game. Keep up the amazing work site casing it and bringing in new life and players and avenues to enjoy it!
I'm absolutely loving Aabria setting up "cozy matt" on what he's wearing in his cutaways. LOVE IT.
Need a live reaction to the results of thier choices when its all finished.
Aabria chucking the dice across the room is such a mood
What does that even mean
Agreed. The number of times I've wanted to, but didn't want to be rude... I tend to roll low :( I once almost killed a party member by trying to cast something over his shoulder and then crit failing, so... definitely an "I want to toss this d20 far, far away" moment.
@@Shorkshire "...is a mood" is an expression of empathetic understanding.
"I don't know how invisibility works?" "You're responsible to know my dude." Love this exchange so much!
Thanks for spreading positivity, youtube comment section and twitter chat has been annoying and rude since the first episode.
Thank you for this comment!
These people are just jelaous that they aren't as good at DMing as Aabria!
I absolutely love Dorian and Dariaxs bromance, especially when Dorian seemed to fight to stay in character when hes like back to back after orym and Dorian's spat, so wholesome
Watching everyone's confused slightly entertained expressions during Opal and the goddess is absolutely phenomenal
Aabria's face paint was just fabulous to begin with, but made all the more fantastic because she's basically cosplaying as the Wild Mother.
Fy’ra is such an amazing addition to the group. Her severity and dedication to her goal adds a much needed calm to the groups constant storming. Love it.
The “it’s going to be the ashholes” threw me for a whole loop!
Man this is one of the most chaotic and hilarious group that I've ever saw. Even when they had multiple opportunities to hand over the circlet, they much rather find out and also make new enemies along the way. I would love to see more even though I know this is a limited series.
I hope we get a spin-off one-shot or a live show. These chaotic bunch of knuckleheads are the perfect group to bridge the gap until Campaign 3
The commitment to staying true to character is incredible. This is a masterclass in "it's what my character would do DND.
Anyone else think that The Hot Cross Buns would be an awesome group name? They’re not normally grumpy but it is totally on their chaos level and fits Aimee’s criteria of including the word ‘hot’.
Hot Chaos Buns? xD
It's very "them". The Odd Lot is too formal. I love a group name that's an inside joke, lol
Not gonna lie.. this was my first thought after she said "hot" as well.
It's got "hot." It's got their "buns" because this group is a bunch of butt jokes. And it's got "cross" because not only did they CROSS their first contract, they're also also a crisscrossed group of oddities. It works on *so. many. levels.*
Adding that when I buy them, they often come in a six-pack too!
