For a '90s film, this is the most 1970s style documentary I've ever seen..
It's something alright haha
After all this time, it still looks awesome!
Just imagine being able to experience that. Practical props and make the acting experience so much more exciting than nowadays.
"Chevron 7... is LOCKED in PLACE!" 🌊
I want to buy the Stargate one day...
Now I finally know where the wrong figure of 22 ft for the gate diameter comes from. In fact, the gate has a diameter of a little bit over 6 m, which is roughly equivalent to 19.7 ft
Spinal Tap, Construction of STONE HENGE for their bands Concert Stage...
Do I hear the Codex Narrator from Mass Effect>>?
Great movie! One of my favourites 👌👍. Love to see the behind the scene hard work and amazing imagination and genius 👏👏👏
And folks the voice for this video: Neil Ross, voice of the Mass Effect codex.
I love, really really love Stargate movie!!
I would like to see how Ra's mask was made and what's it's made of. And how Ra's voice was created.
OMG you don't know how long i've been looking for this Video, The last time I saw this was during Stargate Sg-1's first season!
So this is how the Ancients made 'em.
epic!! rhnx 4 posting
Narrator's voice is familiar. Movie Magic?
wicked video
Onde podemos conseguir o documentário completo?
Does anyone remember a BTS thing on this movie that showed how they did the outdoor battle scenes with the gliders? I specifically recall seeing one as a kid where they showed the laser impacts on the sand were hula-hoops wrapped in detcord then buried under the sand but I can't remember if it was part of some BTS type show or a one-off special.
I wonder what ever happened to the actual stargate itself. Quite he collectors piece.
They cut the thing up?!
Was it built in segments or did they destroy it?
Umm did he just say, “If this effect works, it will really look like you’re going through the 4th dimension.” Because that is the event horizon of a worm hole you’re looking at, sir.
SOME SECRET ARE NOT TO BE PLAY WITH...
How large is a football field? 100x50m?
About 20 basketball courts
I personally blame Imperial unit system
It is really interesting, thanks for the video. But how they did that, there is a stargate on another planet? Like in the forest. They had more stargates or they were always moving this one to another locations?
This was just for the movie. For the TV show (SG-1) they built new stargates. One that spun, and was permanently installed at Bridge Studios in Vancouver on the SGC set, and used for closeups. And another one that was portable and had to be reassembled on location - it didn't spin and over time sagged into an oval shape. They sometimes used a CG stargate too. For Atlantis it seems like all the offworld gates were CG. I'm not sure about SGU, the CG had gotten pretty good so it was harder to tell if they ever used a real set piece.
@@brx8r they mostly used cgi, but had a part ring to physically interact with, like when sitting ontop of it in one episode
They should do remake of Stargate. I wonder how it would be with all the technology available today.
I would guess it would be no real locations just green screen shit everywhere. Appreciate good old cinematography...
No. They shouldn't. Because MGM had considered letting Emmerich and Devlin remake it, and Emmerich and Devlin insisted on making changes that would have thrown Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and SG-U out of the cannon... and neither MGM, nor the fans, were going to accept that, so MGM told Emmerich and Devlin to get lost.
At most, it should get an HD remastering, like CBS did with Star Trek.
They cut it up and auctioned the pieces off on eBay.
That's why you didn't see the SGC at all in Stargate Universe.
Those were different stargates than the one shown in this video. Not sure what happened to that one.
The Icarus base is the SGC, modified but with a CGI gate.
Destroyed.
I can imagine that it was in segments for transportation, but those segments couldn't have been too small.
They used a real stargate to film this. But where did they learn to use it?
This is a coverup.. It proves the stargate is real!
The movie Stargate is so much better than the SG-1 version. The top chevron is cooler, and there are no stupid lights on it.
