About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

That was an awesome show. They don't make em like that anymore
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! THEY DON'T MAKE TV SHOWS LIKE ALL IN THE FAMILY ANYMORE.
They never made a show that made it close to this. This is a show in its own class. It’s the greatest show of all time. Next is Columbo. 😊
Crazy part about this he didn't tell him to get off his chair lol
Despite, Archie had a soft spot in him.. just won't admit to it
This show was the greatest and never will there be another show like this that was TV and Edith meathead Gloria Archie made the show
Yeah I was surprised by that too Maybe he was just too in shock!
Richard McKenzie also appeared with Carroll in a handful of In The Heat Of The Night episodes
"Archie, this is your brother"
"Thanks for telling me, Edith"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So where's the rest of the scene? Why show us part and not let us see how it ended?
Very funny !! Excellent show
Jean Stapleton was brilliant
When the man he despises sits on his chair 😬
😂😂😂😂😂 That was awsome. Wow‼️🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Rob reiner and Sally struthers were brilliant in all in the family!
Yep 3rd and 4th best actors on the show.
"Hi Arch, long time no see" "Long time no care either" Archie was so stink LOL
Oh jeeze😂
What a show. I doff my hat to the late Norman Lear.

Meathead got older and contributed to the decline of hollyweird
Exactly. Now he's a true meathead.
He is a commie pinko these days. Ugh

No he's contributing to saving our country.
I think throughout the 9 years this is the only time there was any introduction to a member of Archie's family. I have seen the entire episode and it always shocks me what horrible person Archie is and yet people laugh and some love him.
He was not horrible. He truly loved Edith (it was Mike who abandoned Gloria and Joey), he let Mike and Gloria live room and board free while Mike finished college, he paid for Mike's appendix operation, he was the only one on the block who had the Jeffersons in his house (George never invited him to HIS house), and he put up with Edith's loud and obnoxious family members. He then basically took charge of his nieces Billie and Stephanie.
I mean entire series. On a related matter...it seems Edith had an endless number of aunts and uncles, which seem to be subject of many of her stories. It would have been interesting for one of them to have an elderly parent like Jeffersons
@@nassauguy48 Really how many people would want to be loved by insults, putdowns and othewise taken advantage of
Brilliant acting by O’Connor.
The character of Fred was so much retooled. Before we saw him, we saw his daughter Linda (the stewardess) visit Archie and Edith's house. Fred was this model husband and father who had been married to the same woman for years and raised four well adjusted children. But when we actually saw Fred, he was many times married (most of his wives being very young women), a bit of a drifter, and he had only one child (by his first wife, a daughter Billie, who later joined the cast of "Archie Bunker's Place"). It was as if Linda and all the other kids never existed.
In the show, Archie and his brother didn't talk to each other for many years! i remember someone in the show said that.
Rest In Peace Carroll O Connor 1924-2001 and Jean Stapleton 1923-2013 and Norman Lear 1922-2023
Archie and his brother look nothing like each other. Usually, brothers will look similar in appearance.
Not necessarily. My biological brother and I look absolutely nothing alike 👍

Mom: "She was born 14 months after we were married, not 5 months after marriage like your daughter's son."

Seems to me Trumpy learned how to "be a man" from studying Archie...
Was a good study of various American psyches. Can barely remember watching it at 5 years old with our family gathered, thinking how big of a grumpy jerk Archie was..
